  1. I don't have to say it. God said it: "1 The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handywork. 2 Day unto day uttereth speech, and night unto night sheweth knowledge. 3 There is no speech nor language, where their voice is not heard. 4 Their line is gone out through all the earth, and their words to the end of the world. In them hath he set a tabernacle for the sun, 5 Which is as a bridegroom coming out of his chamber, and rejoiceth as a strong man to run a race. 6 His going forth is from the end of the heaven, and his circuit unto the ends of it: and there is nothing hid from the heat thereof." Psalm 19:1-6 Interesting that this Psalm tells that the greatness of God as Creator is declared in the creation itself, not by speaking audibly in man's words. But the creation speaks to us in it's amazing creation itself. Everything that exists tells us God created this thing and that thing, creature or human, mountain, or ocean, river, or lake, whatever we are looking at.
  2. Nope I don't think a kind of human is evil. I think a religion is false, like other religions and cults are false. But characterize it any way you wish. That's why I am thankful to believe the Bible. But many don't believe the Bible or even know what's in it, so they will remain in darkness. That's how one distinguishes between truth and error. Many conservatives support parts of liberal thinking, but generally it seems to be the liberal or left that doesn't believe it.
  3. Islamic ideology is to make the world submit to Islam one way or another. Liberals think they can welcome Islam and everything will be fine. Ordinary liberal voters are being deceived by liberal leaders who are only interested in votes. This is why ordinary liberals voters are very naive. Nobody can reason with them because they are blindly following their leader who assures them everything is fine. They think these other cultures like Islam are going to be open-minded and embrace diversity and multiculturalism. What they ignore is the fact that is often not the case in Islamic countries where churches and even Mosques are being bombed frequently by other sects of Islam. Even in countries in Europe there are all kinds of problems developing. There is no tolerance or diversity allowed when radical elements become large and influential.
  4. Yes. Just for the record he killed the Northern Gateway Pipeline and used the National Energy Board environmental review process to stop the Energy East Pipeline. We've yet to see the Trans Mountain Pipeline be built and operational. His national carbon pricing scheme is forcing provinces to put a high price on carbon and enact carbon taxes as well. This is another energy industry killing move and will force the cost of living upwards, and may be forcing investment and energy companies to go elsewhere in the world to operate.
  5. Denigrating is another word which implies unreasonable criticism. I have plenty of biblical reasons for disagreeing with the dogmas of Rome. Yes, I understand hundreds of millions of people follow it, but that alone does not mean I should not criticize or disagree with their teachings. I have had Catholic friends in the past whom I have debated with, but still remain cordial friends. Like any of the world's false religions, the people are exploited and are the ones who pay. If you want to read some interesting books which are available online for free to read, Google Avro Manhattan. He passed away now but in his lifetime, he has contributed greatly to the knowledge about Rome and what they have been doing. A couple of his books are "The Vatican Billions" and if I recall something like The Vatican in World Politics. I read the one about the part Rome played getting the U.S. into the Vietnam War., another interesting book. Or the Vatican Holocaust. Of course salvation is great news and it is true. You dismissal of the evidences I mentioned ignore that fact that those kinds of things simply could not have happened by accident. I'm not sure how you reason that the various physical things I mentioned could come about without a creator. Even such basic things as light and radio waves and the whole spectrum of light waves. It just had to have a Creator. There is no other explanation for it. Neither is there an explanation for how the sub atomic particles and energy came into being apart from a Creator. Questioning who created the Creator can only be answered by saying God by definition is eternal and infinite in power. He was not created. He simply always was God. I know that probably will not satisfy you, but all I can say in response is to study the King James Bible (1611) Authorized Version. You want some kind of proof but the only proof God has given is the creation and His written revelation to mankind.
  6. It would probably turn out to be corrupt. Because of it's complexity and potential for outside control, it would be impossible to be fair or seen as fair. Too much power would be in the hands of too few people and the voters would have no control over them. Whatever system you choose, I can see there would be enormous problems, even as we have now with the shiny pony calling all the shots. As it is now, one man has so much power and if he is a little bizarre, we are stuck with him. He has been able to stall or kill 100 billion dollars worth of energy projects. That is unprecedented and bizarre.
  7. You didn't answer or address any of the many evidences I pointed out. No explanations how all these things came about. But just you don't think God created it. No evidence to the contrary; just no to God. So it is not a question of the evidence, but of the will to not believe. A simple bias you might say.
  8. If you figure we ought to be able to use the same evidence, why don't you use the same evidence I use? The creation is one huge piece of evidence. The sub atomic particles are governed by laws of physics, correct? Who created the sub atomic particles? Who created the laws of physics that govern how the particles operate? Who created the laws that govern nuclear fusion, not that I know what it is, but it must be some complex interaction between energy and particles, right? These are not even biological things, so have nothing to do with the dubious theory of evolution. Yet, they operate according to strict principles of physics, right? Where did the energy, the particles, the laws that govern them all come from? These things are all so precise and the laws must be so precise that there is no flexibility on how they operate. Only an intelligent designer could have made it all possible. To me that is evidence. Real evidence. Consider the spectrum of light. There is a wide range of light rays from the visible to the invisible. Is light some form of energy? I am told it has a wavelength so it must travel well at the speed of light, roughly 186,000 miles per second. Who created the light waves? Is it energy? Maybe it has energy built in. Some of it is visible and some invisible such as the rays beyond the human range of vision. Then there are ultra violet rays, infra red rays and each having it's own wavelength. The wavelength is inversely proportional to the frequency of the wave I am told. So the shorter the wavelength, the higher the frequency per second, correct? How was all this designed to be precisely acting as it does? It must have had a designer or creator which made to operate in a certain way, correct? How else would one explain it's existence? Radio waves is another wave, but is a different frequency that light. But are radio waves the same kind of thing as light waves? Is it some kind of energy that travels at the same speed roughly 186,000 Mile per second? If radio and light waves travel at the same speed, would we conclude they are the same kind of energy? Are they even an energy? What about gravity? What is that? We know it is invisible and we know it exists because we can feel it pulling us down. But why? What is happening? What is it? Who can give me some answers? This is an amazing orchestrated system that seems to work together to make the universe what it is. So these various energies, rays, waves of energy, light, radio waves, gravity forces all work together to make things what they are. So should we all just throw our hands up in the air and say I dunno it was a huge accident that occurred somewhere at sometime that brought it all into place? Is that what you're telling me? I didn't mention it but gravity is another huge issue. Isn't gravity what keeps the moon circling the earth in a certain orbit so it doesn't fall to earth and destroy everything or drift away out into space? Isn't gravity what keeps each planet in it's orbit circling around the sun in an orderly fashion? What about the energy from the sun that heats the earth and makes everything grow, enabling life to exist and thrive? It must be just the right amount to give us the seasons as the angle of earth changes through the year to give us spring, summer, fall, and winter. Seems quite well organized. So life can then follow it's pattern. The trees and vegetation and animals live by the seasons and do different things in different seasons. It seems to be set up to operate on a certain pattern. Why? How did it happen? Was it an accident too? Was everything just a pure accident? Seems like one huge amazing accident if you go by that theory. But since there is so much to it if you care to describe everything that is happening, it would take an infinite number of accidents to happen to create where we are now. How likely or possible is that?
  9. So you are resting on an assumption without any evidence? How did it all begin or where did everything come from?
  10. Voting provides an outlet for many who might be anarchists otherwise. Democracy is a somewhat poor system to choose leaders with, but then there is no system that is any better.
  11. Do you have any evidence at all for your claim?
  12. The subject is "Evidence for God", which I have discussed at length and will continue to do so. So the answer to your question is both to argue in favour of the evidence in favour of God and sharing the central message of the Bible. Sharing the truth or the gospel is a central part of the teaching of the Bible. You call it proselytizing, which has a kind of negative connotation, as if what is put forward is somehow sinister or false. Salvation is a central message of the Bible. It is the good news and is beneficial to the person who believes it.
  13. I have read enough about the version issue since 1985 and am quite satisfied with what I learned. I have heard the story about how the new versions came about and am satisfied with the information I heard from more than one source. I have no desire to read anything from skeptics or opponents of the King James Bible. I am currently studying the book I had skimmed through years ago, "New Age Bible Versions" by Gail Riplinger. Available through Amazon. or the website avpublications.com I consider opponents of the King James Bible (1611) as apostates or people in serious error and am not interested in reading anything they have to say at this point. I will say this book explains in detail how the modern versions are working toward a one-world religion or a false religion which will be worshiping the devil or Satan. Wording in the modern versions is geared to that goal. There are numerous examples. There is also a new age movement made up of esoterics and new agers who have their own followers. They also are connected with the evolving one world religion. People who are not born again are not free as they believe themselves to be, but are actually following the god of this world. You say my faith is not based on logic. Logic has nothing to do with it. Faith in the Bible and Jesus is not determined by logic or the scientific method. Faith is a gift of God whereby God uses the Holy Scriptures as his means of communicating with mankind.
  14. I doubt if the Bible gives details about the colour of the different descendants. I just don't have the time at the moment to read through massive amounts of information to try to answer that, but I'm pretty sure the Bible does not state explicitly who was what colour. It is not considered important to know. So I doubt my reading tons of articles or searching the Bible on colour of races or where the coloured races came from will produce any answer. Anybody can do that if they really want to try to find out.
  15. I had a brief look at that link but no, I am not going to go into all the alleged Hebrew claims simply because there have been corrupt changes to the modern Bibles and there has been a battle raging over the Bible for a long time. I am no expert on Greek or Hebrew so it would be pointless for me to go into that. There are corrupt manuscript found in the 1800s that were used by two heretics, Wescott and Hort, to produce the corrupt modern versions. All modern versions take their lead from those. I am satisfied from what have read about where the King James Bible came from and will stick with it. It would be an impossible thing to be trying to look at old manuscripts of Greek or Hebrew when there are many known corrupt manuscripts and disputes over the versions. I will stick to the Bible based on the Received Text. This video is very impressive: A Lamp in the Dark - The Untold History of the Bible A shorter video (57 mins) is also on youtube.
  16. I just read Ch10 about the genealogy of the sons of Noah. I see where it mentions Nimrod who was a mighty hunter. He started a number of cities in the land of Shinar, including Babel. Nimrod is not mentioned after vs 10 but there is a long list of names in a genealogy. VS 32 concludes with saying these are the sons of Noah, etc. Then ch 11 vs 1 to 4 speaks about them saying they would build a city and a tower (the tower of Babel). It doesn't mention Nimrod in ch11, but he could well be involved in building the city and tower, as Babel was mentioned in ch 10 vs 10. You quoted some Hebrew letters and words. Yes, Babylon could have been built where Babel existed. I don't know. The King James Bible (1611) is based on the Received Text and is completely accurate. That's all I need. I don't worry about the Hebrew or Greek. No need. Some of the translators of the KJV (1611) were some of best Hebrew and Greek scholars that ever lived. They were not influenced by television and modernism as people are today. They also believed in the inerrancy of Scripture which Bible translators of the 20th century do not. The 20th century Editors and producers of modern versions were also using the corrupt translation (Greek N.T.) or compilation of Wescott and Hort. They used corrupt manuscripts Codex Sinaiticus and Codex Vaticanus. The KJV translators used the original manuscripts called the Received Text (New Testament manuscripts). I believed their work is extremely accurate and trustworthy. There were 47 scholars who worked on the translation of the KJV.
  17. I am not familiar with the account leading up to the tower of Babel. I am not doubting what you said. I was just reading the first part of Genesis ch11 about the building of the tower, but did not see Nimrod's name. Can you tell me what verse it mentions Nimrod starting the tower? Just like to see these things myself. Thanks.
  18. Sterilizing people against their will is a crime against humanity as far as I'm concerned. I think this was done by government in Alberta 50 or 60 years ago for people who had mental problems. But it could have been done to other people as well, any that some bureaucrats or politicians deemed as undesirables. I don't think a lot of people are aware that this actually went on in Canada, the great paragon of virtue and peace. Haven't heard any politicians apologize yet for this.
  19. No, I don't look forward to the possibility of nuclear wars or other wars in the meantime.
  20. I do not know what colour Adam and Eve were. The different races descended later from Noah's three sons, Japeth, Shem, and Ham. Everyone has the same father Noah and further back we all descended from Adam and Eve. There are various websites which give opinions on that question. Question: "What is the origin of the different races?" Answer: The Bible does not explicitly give us the origin of the different “races” or skin colors in humanity. In actuality, there is only one race—the human race. Within the human race is diversity in skin color and other physical characteristics. Some speculate that when God confused the languages at the tower of Babel (Genesis 11:1-9), He also created racial diversity. It is possible that God made genetic changes to humanity to better enable people to survive in different ecologies, such as the darker skin of Africans being better equipped genetically to survive the excessive heat in Africa. According to this view, God confused the languages, causing humanity to segregate linguistically, and then created genetic racial differences based on where each racial group would eventually settle. While possible, there is no explicit biblical basis for this view. The races/skin colors of humanity are nowhere mentioned in connection with the tower of Babel. At the Tower of Babel, when the different languages came into existence, groups that spoke one language moved away with others of the same language. In doing so, the gene pool for a specific group shrank dramatically as the group no longer had the entire human population to mix with. Closer inbreeding took place, and in time certain features were emphasized in these different groups (all of which were present as a possibility in the genetic code). As further inbreeding occurred through the generations, the gene pool grew smaller and smaller, to the point that people of one language family all had the same or similar features. Another explanation is that Adam and Eve possessed the genes to produce black, brown, and white offspring (and everything else in between). This would be similar to how a mixed-race couple sometimes has children that vary in color. Since God obviously desired humanity to be diverse in appearance, it makes sense that God would have given Adam and Eve the ability to produce children of different skin tones. Later, the only survivors of the flood were Noah and his wife, Noah’s three sons and their wives—eight people in all (Genesis 7:13). Perhaps Noah’s daughters-in-law were of different races. It is also possible that Noah’s wife was of a different race than Noah. Maybe all eight of them were of mixed race, which would mean they possessed the genetics to produce children of different races. Whatever the explanation, the most important aspect of this question is that we are all the same race, all created by the same God, all created for the same purpose—to glorify Him. https://www.gotquestions.org/different-races.html Here is an interesting video called "How Different Races Came from Noah" on youtube. https://www.bing.com/videos/search?q=How+different+races+came+from+Noah&view=detail&mid=A16FB86059522397C537A16FB86059522397C537&FORM=VIRE This shows how we are all descendants of Noah through his three sons, Japheth, Shem, and Ham. The Caucasians descended from Japheth or more likely including a mixture of some of the other two. The eastern or oriental and middle eastern people such as the Jews and other ME tribes descended from Shem and today have mixtures of the other two as well. The black people or brown descended from Ham with some mixtures today.
  21. Merry Christmas to you this lovely Christmas morning of 2017. Several inches of snow through the night made it a lovely white Christmas. Very timely.
  22. How do you define an illegal invasion? Who decides what is illegal? Would fighting ISIS be legal or illegal?
  23. Many people are concerned about over population, which I think is a misplaced concern. Without going into all the arguments for or against this concern, I will upset the atheists and agnostics and other non-believers in Christ by saying I believe God has the matter under control. First the Bible describes the most important things in life and overpopulation is not one of them. Jesus said we will always have wars and rumours of wars. We know there have been huge plagues in the past, such as the Black Plague which wiped out something like a quarter of Europe. The deadly strain of influenza wiped out millions of people around 1918. The deadly virus called the Communist revolution wiped out another 100 million people in the USSR and China in the 20th century. Many countries have nuclear weapons and little rocket man has been quite threatening in recent times. Who know where that is going. Hopefully not a war. Also, Canada itself has a vast geographical area with a relatively small population. Statistics indicate the Caucasian population in Canada is actually in decline. The minimum number of children per family to sustain an ethnic group is 2.1 Many parts of Canada do not maintain that level in the Caucasian group. Other immigrants from Africa, the middle east, Asia and north American aboriginals exceed the 2.1 children per family, so it appears they will become the majority before many decades. My main point is the KJV Bible does not mention overpopulation as an issue. The Bible does prophecy things in general will get worse on the earth, until at some point there will be an Armageddon in the middle east involving the whole world, possibly a nuclear holocaust, and at that point Jesus Christ will return and establish his rule. There are more important issues that threaten mankind such as wars, lawlessness, and ungodliness of all kinds. Tensions between nations are prophesied to get worse. We see that happening at times now with stresses with terrorism, N. Korea, Iran, Russia, etc.
  24. "If human beings stopped with the belief of this or that and began to just believe and help each other out instead the world could be a better place to live in. " That will never happen in this present world. Here's what God says about mankind: 10 As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one: 11 There is none that understandeth, there is none that seeketh after God. 12 They are all gone out of the way, they are together become unprofitable; there is none that doeth good, no, not one. 13 Their throat is an open sepulchre; with their tongues they have used deceit; the poison of asps is under their lips: 14 Whose mouth is full of cursing and bitterness: 15 Their feet are swift to shed blood: 16 Destruction and misery are in their ways: 17 And the way of peace have they not known: 18 There is no fear of God before their eyes. Romans ch3 vs10-18 This is why we are living in a wicked world and full of evil. Since we are completely depraved and deceitful, and God has said it is appointed unto men once to die and after this the judgment. What shall we therefore do? Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference: 23For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; 24Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus: 25Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God; 26To declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus. 27Where is boasting then? It is excluded. By what law? of works? Nay: but by the law of faith. 28Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law. Romans ch3 vs 22-28 John 6:47 - Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me hath everlasting life.
  25. No. Just a sinner saved by grace through faith in Jesus Christ. "Whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved." Romans 10:13
