Is Canada becoming a Communist state?
blackbird replied to blackbird's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
Yes, there are many false gods and false religions in the world, even in highest government offices. That is why the true God gave us his revelation, which in English is the King James Bible. Rome and all other false religions hate this Bible because it exposes them and their systems. "John 3:19-21 19And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. 20For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved. 21But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God." Socialism, Communism, and various forms of Marxism or semi-Marxism are evil ideologies and systems that need to be condemned and opposed. You need to get a King James Bible and study it. God created man with individual dignity and rights including the right to private property and Marxist ideologies deny that. They are anti-God and deny human rights. Who is creating "international hatred"? Those who follow evil diabolical ideologies or those who stand up for the truth given to us by our Creator God. " John 1:5-9 5And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not. 6There was a man sent from God, whose name was John. 7The same came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all men through him might believe. 8He was not that Light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light. 9That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world. Ephesians 5:11 11And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them. John 8:12 12Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life. Ephesians 5:8 8For ye were sometimes darkness, but now are ye light in the LORD: walk as children of light: Ephesians 5:13 13But all things that are reproved are made manifest by the light: for whatsoever doth make manifest is light." Jesus said his doctrine would cause division even within families. It causes division within churches and society. God has commanded us to stand up for the truth no matter what others say or think. Jesus is God and we must follow him. The hostility toward Christians is age old and many were martyred down through the ages and even today many are killed every day. Whose side are you on? -
Is Canada becoming a Communist state?

Trudeau's policies, actions, and words prove he has a Marxist mindset. The word Marxist includes an authoritarian mindset that believes that individual's have no God-given rights or freedoms and that the state can do whatever it wishes and control individuals to any degree they wish. For example, he believes he can take Canadian's hard-earned tax dollars and spend them any way he wishes. He has pushed Canada into hundreds of billions of dollars of debt and weekly or daily hands out billions of dollars as if it were water. Canada may have the highest per capita debt of any western country. His new gun buyback program also apparently makes airsoft replica guns illegal, although these are used by many airsoft gun sports clubs across Canada. The government is attempting to outlaw them apparently because they look like real guns. This is big brother's version of mind or thought control. He plans to bring in a million immigrants from the third world over the next three years, which will further his political base as most will repay him with their votes in the future. Most of them believe government is there to provide social benefits and money for them as do most NDP, Greens and Liberals. Many come from third world countries that have had civil wars, Communist revolutions, terrorist groups, brutal dictators, and high crime rates. It would be nice if he put Canadians first for a change instead of trying to support the rest of the world. -

Communism or Marxism is a creeping, slow poison in western society. It is not a black and white thing. There is no middle word to describe it unless you want to call it creeping Socialism or Marxism. The middle word might be liberalism or so-called Social Democracy. It is driven by liberal, progressive ideology generally from the left of the political spectrum. But at the root is a deep spiritual struggle in the world, between good and bad, truth and error, or between God and anti-god or Satan and his minions and those who have been deceived and follow him. A refusal to follow God's word or God's revelation to man leaves a vacuum that must be filled. What fills the vacuum is man-made ideology otherwise called secular humanism which is liberalism. I should mention even though we have all this evil in the world, God is still in control and allows these things to happen for his own glory. We may not understand why God allows evil to happen, but the Bible says all things work out for the glory of God and for his purposes. -

quote Here is a timeline of COVID-19 cases in this country. Jan. 25: A man in his 50s who arrived in Toronto from Wuhan, China, the epicentre of the outbreak, becomes the first "presumptive" case of the new coronavirus in Canada. The man called 911 as soon as he got sick with relatively minor symptoms and was placed in isolation in Toronto's Sunnybrook Hospital. Jan. 26: The wife of the Toronto man who was Canada's first "presumptive" case of the new coronavirus becomes the second presumptive case. The woman is kept in home isolation. Jan. 27: The National Microbiology Lab in Winnipeg confirms that a man in quarantine in Sunnybrook Hospital is Canada's first documented case of the new coronavirus. Jan 28: Health authorities confirm Canada's second case of the novel coronavirus. The woman had recently travelled to Wuhan with her husband, who was the first case confirmed in Canada. Jan 28: Health officials in British Columbia say a man in his 40s is presumed to have the new coronavirus and is doing well as he recovers at his Vancouver home. B.C.'s health officer, Dr. Bonnie Henry, says the man often works in China and voluntarily isolated himself upon returning to Canada. Jan. 28: The presumed case of the new strain of coronavirus in B.C. is confirmed by the National Microbiology Laboratory in Winnipeg. Jan. 31: Toronto man hospitalized with the novel coronavirus is well enough to go home. Sunnybrook Hospital says he'll continue to recover at home, where his wife is also in self-isolation. Jan. 31: Ontario's third case of the new coronavirus is confirmed. The patient, a woman in her 20s, had travelled to the affected area in China. The London university student initially tested negative for the virus, but a subsequent test at the national lab in Winnipeg was positive. Health officials say her symptoms are minor. Canada's 1st 'presumptive' case of coronavirus found in Toronto 8 more cases of COVID-19 identified in B.C., including 1 of unknown origin Feb. 4: Health officials announce another presumptive confirmed case in B.C. Henry says the woman had family visiting from China's Hubei province and she is in isolation at her home. Feb. 5: British Columbia's second case of coronavirus is confirmed by the National Microbiology Lab. Feb. 6: Henry announces two new cases of COVID-19 in B.C., noting both people were in the same household as the woman diagnosed with the province's second case. Three of the four patients in Alberta are connected to the same Grand Princess cruise ship that docked Monday in Oakland, Calif. (Kate Munsch/Reuters) Feb. 12: Ontario health officials say the woman from London, Ont., no longer has the novel coronavirus in her system. It marks the first time a case of the illness has been resolved in Canada. Feb. 14: Officials in B.C. announce the province's fifth case of COVID-19. The woman in her 30s who lives in B.C.'s Interior recently returned from Hubei province. Feb. 19: Henry announces that the person diagnosed with B.C.'s first case of the new coronavirus has recovered. It's the first time this has happened in the province. Feb. 20: A woman who recently returned from Iran is diagnosed with British Columbia's sixth case of COVID-19. She's the first person in the country diagnosed with the illness who did not recently visit China. Meanwhile, in Ontario, the man who had Canada's first case of the virus is cleared after testing negative for the illness twice in 24 hours. Feb. 21: The last known case of coronavirus in Ontario is resolved. Canada's first COVID-19 death is not cause for panic — but shows need to protect most vulnerable Feb. 23: Officials in Toronto announce Ontario has a new case of coronavirus — the fourth to be diagnosed in the province. The woman arrived in Toronto from China several days earlier. unquote Timeline of COVID-19 cases across Canada | CBC News It is obvious from news reports the first cases were coming from China for weeks beginning January 25th, 2020. Trudeau refused to close the border to air travel from China. If Trudeau had closed the border to air travel from China and other countries, particularly countries known to have Covid, back in January, and closed the border to non-essential travel from the U.S., the entire picture in Canada might have been much different. -
Is Canada becoming a Communist state?

Government does not define what is moral or immoral. Only God does that through his written word. Nobody can be forced to accept perversion or immoral behavior or practices. Only in a totalitarian system would a government try to impose it's own standard of perversion on everyone and stop them from speaking against such things. As long as he is not speaking in a way that falls into "hate speech" or putting someone in danger or speaking defamation, it is legal to disagree with LGBTQ ideology and practices. A man in B.C. has been put in jail for speaking out against a court order that denied him his right to speak about his daughter's transitioning to a boy. That is Communist or Marxist. It denies him his basic human rights to disagree with the state, courts and school system support of transitioning his daughter to a boy. That is brutal totalitarianism. And by the way, Neufeld was elected by the people as a school trustee, not to be a "public official" whatever that means. He was elected because of his views by people who agree with him and therefore he has a right to express those views, not the views of Trudeau or progressives. -

These coercive measures are a sign of Marxist or Communist mentality. There is similarity with Communist China taking the two Michaels hostage in order to try to get their way. -
Is Canada becoming a Communist state?
blackbird replied to blackbird's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
Seems you don't understand what freedom of expression in the Charter of Rights means and you don't understand that governments don't get involved in using the full power, lawyers, and resources of government to shut down a citizen's freedom of speech because they don't like his views. Using the power of state to control speech or silence citizens is Marxist or Communist style of government. -
Is Canada becoming a Communist state?

There are other examples of the growing Communism or totalitarianism with a Marxist bent. One is the BC NDP minister, possibly the AG, in Victoria saying he (or the government?) are thinking of lifting the driver's licences of people who don't pay their Covid fines or refusing to renew their driver's licences. This would be arbitrary coercion as driver's licences have nothing to do with paying or not paying Covid fines. Another example is when a BC NDP minister said they would take a school trustee to the Human Rights Tribunal for making unacceptable comments against Dr. Teresa Tam. We also know this same school trustee is opposed to the SOGI (sexual orientation and gender identity) curriculum in the B.C. schools education curriculum. This penchant to silence speech they don't condone is a Marxist trait. It's the kind of thing that would happen in North Korea or China. We also are seeing in the present enquiry into the B.C. Casino money laundering that high law enforcement officials and government cabinet ministers seemed to ignore or refused to take action for years when there was credible evidence or signs that large scale money laundering was going on for years. This was with the previous BC Liberal government in power. Corruption and authoritarianism seems to not be limited to one party although left wing and liberal parties will obviously be worse. We also just saw in the television news last night in BC that charges for murder against serious criminals are being dismissed by the court because the RCMP broke some serious laws meant to protect citizens rights, possibly under section 490 of the criminal code. It seems that is was standard policy to ignore these laws when investigating crime. It is yet to be seen how many murderers will be set free. -
While I don't agree with the anti-vaxers and the anti-Covid crowd, I still believe Canadians have freedom of speech. This guy Chris Sky has just been put on the no-fly list for being an anti-vaxer, anti-Covid protestor/speaker for exercising his right to freedom speech. The government appears to be shutting him down and preventing him from travel so he cannot go to protest rallies and speak. This while a convicted terrorist, who killed someone when he was fighting for al Qaida in Afghanistan, received 10.5 million dollars and an apology, is not on the no fly list and is free to fly. This is Trudeau's Canada. Trudeau did express his admiration for the Chinese Communist system about six years ago. Are we fast becoming a Communist state? Could the pandemic and Trudeau government's response be the trigger that removes our fundamental freedoms and establishes Canada as a Communist dictatorship? Should there be a difference between the way a Communist dictatorship acts and the way a western democracy acts toward people who differ in their beliefs and speech about the pandemic and government response? https://www.rebelnews.com/chris_sky_lands_on_canadas_no_fly_list?utm_campaign=rr_04_09_2021&utm_medium=email&utm_source=therebel

Is Canada moving to the third world?
blackbird replied to myata's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
Canada's problem is it is largely a godless nation. It wants everything without having to work or earn it and it encourages crime, corruption and immorality. It will get what it deserves unless it has a sudden change of heart, which I don't see any signs of. Those of us who can see the writing on the wall will just have to buckle down and be prepared to ride the coming tsunami of problems. -
Interesting National Post article: "Raymond J. de Souza: Where lies Liberal loyalty: Canada or China? The rot of appeasement that reached its nadir during the Chrétien years is well-advanced within the current federal government" Raymond J. de Souza: Where lies Liberal loyalty: Canada or China? | National Post Another interesting article: Appeasing China, New Zealand abandons the Five Eyes (msn.com) Politicians have been selling out Canada to China for decades, especially liberals. They see nothing wrong with this.

At the vaccination hall where I live I observed them vaccinating two or three people at a time when I was there and about five people waiting the required 15 minute waiting period in hall with about 60 chairs spaced six feet apart for people to wait after their shot. In a city of approximately 18,000 people, at this rate it will take months to vaccinate the first dose to people. Guess the pandemic will drag on and on.

Apology accepted. I understand. I often say things in the wrong way that irritate others.
-
That is beautiful. Looks similar to where I lived for 27 years and would go back. I had mountains like that and rivers too. There were beautiful wilderness lakes where you could go fishing and have the lake to yourself. You should be able to enjoy living in that area. I may be too old now and not in good enough health to go back, but am still thinking about it sometimes. This area I am in does have some wilderness, but logging companies have gates blocking access to a lot of areas. So it is not as good as up north.
-
I don't know what kind of wilderness you are speaking about or where you go, but where I live and other places I have lived, there are very few people encountered in the wilderness. There are very few ATVs, snowmobiles and what few there are, don't bother me. The traffic on the highways is the problem. Too much traffic sometimes. One place I lived, I had an area several square kilometres with bush roads all to myself, where I cross-country skied in the winter and road my ATV in the spring and summer. It was only a few km from home. Occasionally in the winter there might be a snowmobile go through the area and only very rarely in years did I see anyone else with an ATV in that area. The snowmobile was actually good because it made a trail in the snow for me to cross country ski on. I rarely saw anyone else in the whole area. It was fantastic. I wish I'd stayed there. If you want that, you will have to move to a sparsely populated part of the province, usually further north. I like to live and let live. There are no helicopters or planes anywhere in the area. The biggest problem as far as noise is concerned is in town with guys with Harley motorcycles, pickup trucks, and cars with mufflers and motors designed to make as much noise and possible. They seem to like to occasionally rev up in a quiet neighbourhood and roar off in a cloud of dust. This can really rattle the nerves when you are not expecting it. But the town and local government seem to accept it as normal so who am I to say anything about it. I can't change anything anyway and just have to live with it. If you have a lot of noise from ATVs, boats, snowmobiles, planes and helicopters, you are living in the wrong place. I would advise, if you move, move far from that area to a very lightly populated part of the country if you can. Maybe take a holiday and explore some more remote parts of provinces and learn about them first. If you can work in such an area, you may be able to find a more peaceful area. I discovered such an area while travelling long ago, and eventually moved there. It was great for several decades. I made the mistake of leaving it and moving back to a larger, populated place.
-
My ATV makes no noise and no fumes. You wouldn't even hear it a couple hundred feet away and the nearest person would be miles. We are talking about the wilderness, not a park in downtown Toronto. You can walk wherever you want. So you are still driving a car and telling people not to ride an ATV. Lots of hypocrisy there.
-
No, I couldn't ride a mountain bike because of my heart condition. Not everyone is in the necessary condition to ride mountain bikes. So my ATV takes me to places I could not otherwise go. I enjoy riding it. That is my choice and is part of freedom. I hope you are not driving or riding in a motor vehicle because if you are, you are a hypocrite telling other people to use a bike.
-
I like to ride my 2WD ATV once in a while. I may go out this afternoon for a short ride in the forested hills on a dirt or gravel road. It won't affect the environment or climate change. If you want to believe in a hoax that's your choice. Only Marxist-minded people want to control everyone else's life and take away our freedom. What makes it worse is they want to tax and control other people for nothing because it will make no difference to the climate. Such politicians are Marxist oppressors. The dumb masses believe their lies.
-
Doing something to protect the local environment such as cleaning up and preventing garbage being dumped where it shouldn't be is one thing. Throwing the people's money away and scamming people to try to change the climate is a ludicrous waste. It's the biggest scam in history. Nobody can change or control the weather or climate.
-
The global warming claims have been debunked by many experts. Al Gore's claims have long been debunked. I am pretty sure Erin O'Toole is simply getting on the bandwagon because he sees that's the way the political tide is turning. Pure opportunism for votes.
-
Thinking that government can deliver utopia to you is naive thinking. Government cannot solve the world's problems or create a utopia. Trusting in government and expecting them to look after everything is a huge mistake. Because of human nature, the only thing politicians will do is set up a system to benefit themselves and their friends and relatives. Best thing is to look after yourself in the best way you can and trust in God and his word. That has the answers, not politicians or ideologues.
-
There never was a perfect world ever since the fall of man when Adam and Eve ate the forbidden fruit in the garden of Eden in the beginning. But God has given mankind the right to private property and has said thou shalt not steal. Even though things have appeared to work out unfairly in a lot of cases, free enterprise is still the best system in the world and normally does not steal or violate the right to own private property. Having crooked people in the world does not diminish from the value of fundamental freedom and democracy. So we should not wish for an authoritarian system or Marxist system to try to fix the world. If we lose our freedom and rights, we will be far worse off and become slaves to a big brother that will be looking after number one first and the rest of us not at all.
-
Taking people's money by force can be classified as stealing, not charity. Therefore it is contrary to the Bible. If you want to give your own money, that would be charity, but taking other people's money, no it is not charity.
-
Confiscating people's money by force and giving it away. Sure, whatever. Maybe the famous Satanist, Karl Marx, would agree with you.
