Supreme Court imposes cruelty on families
blackbird replied to blackbird's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
Why do you think people like Clifford Olson who killed all kinds of kids or the guy that killed a dozen people should not get capital punishment? Or the guy that shot two police officers or even one police officer in Ontario? Do you seriously think no capital punishment is sending the right message to would-be murderers? They know they will be coddled for the next 25 years at taxpayer's expense if they are caught and then maybe get out on parole. Some message! Nobody said you would have to flip the switch. There are countless people who would do the job. -
Supreme Court imposes cruelty on families

The majority of Canadians in all provinces except Quebec would support capital punishment for murder. Quebec is the only province where a minority would not support capital punishment. Why is that? Quebec is mostly nominal Roman Catholic and has a different ideology. It is likely Canada abolished capital punishment because of politicians from Quebec, not the rest of Canada. Once again they dominate Canada and most PMs come from Quebec. The only logical reason they would support Trudeau is because he is a son of Quebec. -
Where is the U.N. to deal with the Haiti crisis?
blackbird replied to blackbird's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
Haiti sounds like the kind of country that could be ripe for a Communist revolution or takeover. An authoritarian regime led by someone like Fidel Castro that would appeal to the masses. A brutal dictator might be preferable in the minds of many people to the endless anarchy we see now. Of course there would be no freedom or basic rights any more. But that is what can happen when a country is in anarchy and lawlessness. The evil dictators see it as an opportunity to grab power and rule with an iron fist. Perhaps such a dictator will convince some of the gangs to side with him and help pull it off. It seems like countries that don't understand Protestant Judeo-Christian principles and beliefs, are ripe for Communist takeovers. Countries that are heavily Roman Catholic also seem to lean toward Communism. The same mentality is playing out in France right now. The government is raising the retirement age from 62 to 64 and there are massive demonstrations opposing that. Yet, to keep the retirement age at 62 would push the country into massive debt and is not sustainable. Many people don't care. They have one of the lowest retirement ages in the world. They just want the government to provide everything and are willing to burn down the place to try to get what they want. -
Where is the U.N. to deal with the Haiti crisis?
blackbird replied to blackbird's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
Off hand I don't know what the solution is for Haiti and if there is anything the world can do about it. I am not sure doing nothing is a good option though. I am not sure why the U.N. was incapable of being effective in Rwanda. Perhaps it is bureaucracy that is unable to make decisions and do anything. -
Where is the U.N. to deal with the Haiti crisis?
blackbird replied to blackbird's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
Yes, sounds pretty bad there. Too bad there are millions of civilians that just want to live in peace there. The place is a hell hole. Canada has a lot of immigrants from there and the former Governor General is from there. Haiti also speaks French which means there is that added pressure from some French speaking people to help them. So I imagine they are pushing for something to be done, but I don't know what can be done because as you say it is an extremely dangerous and lawless place. -
" REAL SEXUAL FREEDOM Jesus understood us better than we understand ourselves. He said, “What comes out of a person is what defiles him” (Mark 7:20). In other words, our inner selves are not bundles of wonderfulness just waiting to be let out. The truth is, our messy inner selves, when unleashed, spread more mess. It’s what Jesus came to forgive and clean up. Real sexual freedom is not when we give free rein to our sexual feelings, but when we follow Jesus on his path of wisdom. He created us for purposes so lofty only he can take us there. The seventh commandment alerts us to the sexual dimension of our true glory." "Every generation tends to think, “The people before us were primitive. We’re smarter now.” Which proves we’re not smarter now. The Bible bluntly declares, “The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately sick; who can understand it?” (Jeremiah 17:9). Obviously, we still don’t." God Calms Our Sexual Insanity: The Seventh Commandment for Today | Desiring God I don't know how many times I've heard the claim that the Bible is ancient written by uneducated ignorant men. Implying of course that we know more today than the ancients who wrote the Bible (under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit of God). Well, the way the world is heading proves that the Bible is true and modern man is wrong and is in denial and ignorance generally speaking.

Where is the U.N. to deal with the Haiti crisis?
blackbird replied to blackbird's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
The U.N. failed miserably in Rwanda in the 1994 massacre. 800,000 moderate people were massacred by extremists in a three month period. The U.N. failed to act to stop the massacre. What does the world or U.N. do when there is no government in control or able to control what is going on with violent people running rampant? Often there is no government in control to invite the U.N. in to restore order. If there was a government in control then they might not need the U.N. or external help. Yugoslavia war of the 1990s was another case where the Yugoslavia government was not in control and fighting was raging. Outside forces from the west went in to take action. The objective is to stop genocides and killing of innocent people. -
No, I think they are public events. They are held in public places like public libraries, right? Anybody can express their freedom of expression to oppose some event such as a drag queen event as long as one protests it on public property, the streets or sidewalk and should not block people passing through. There should be space left open for people to attend the event. Protesting something is a Constitutional right but blocking people's access is not. Also there is a line drawn between protesting something and harassment. People should not harass or intimidate individuals going to the event. That's just common sense. Peacefully disagreeing with something is not harassment or intimidation.

Yes, that is true. People are suffering mental, spiritual anguish and are traumatized. The reason is again because of the fall of man and the resultant fallen nature and the choices people make as a result. Perhaps you are starting to see that. Michael gives you an uptick because he thinks you are criticizing me and he loves it when he thinks you are insulting me when in fact you may be stating a spiritual truth when you say people are in pain and suffering. He misunderstands the point I am making completely. Many people have it in their mind that trying to satisfy the lusts of the flesh is the way to go when in fact this just brings endless mental pain to themselves and those around them. Only God's way will deliver one from this anguish and pain and bring healing. That is what the link I gave explains. " The Ten Commandments are rules, but they are not arbitrary, man-made rules. God’s Ten Commandments are big, bold, bright signs guiding us away from the regions of darkness and death, and toward the upland plains of light and life in Christ. The problem is, in our sin, we hate being told what to do. We think we know better. We look at temptations that cannot make our lives better, and we think, “That would make my life better.” The Ten Commandments point toward Sodom and Gomorrah and warn us, “You don’t want to go there.” Yet we look over at that barren wasteland and think, “That must be our garden of Eden.” And off we go." You see, the "progressives" or woke world think the road to happiness is found in something like Sodom and Gomorrah. The government believes that. The liberal-left believe that and they are trying to gear society to make that possible for more people. Hence the child grooming in schools, libraries, etc. This is totally the opposite of what the article talks about. The sad part is so many people are blinded and think somehow the freedom of do whatever one wants in regard to the lust of the flesh is the solution when in fact it is the total opposite. The way to peace and happiness is not found in that ideology or route. It is tragic in the extreme. God Calms Our Sexual Insanity: The Seventh Commandment for Today | Desiring God

No, that's not it at all. I have received by God's grace a little bit of understanding which if you changed your attitude, you could too. Life is not all about satisfying the lusts of the flesh (which I have done my share of regrettably) but by God's grace realized that was a destructive path to follow. God has something far better for precious humans to have than trying to satisfy the desires of the flesh which does not lead to happiness or satisfy one's cravings. Trying to satisfy sexual desires is similar to an alcoholic with liquor or a drug addict trying to satisfy himself with hard drugs. He is never really satisfied and never really happy. The seventh commandment alerts us to the sexual dimension of our true glory. And the New Testament tells us more. We are sexual beings, ultimately, to embody the gospel (Ephesians 5:32). But if we refuse to offer our sexuality to Jesus, we trivialize and abuse his gift. It’s like using a smartphone to hammer nails. That just isn’t what a smartphone is for, no matter what we might feel. Hammering nails can only damage a smartphone. And haven’t we all done some damage? But when we turn to follow Jesus, dedicating all that we are to him, we start growing into a more settled, confident, careful sexuality, with fewer regrets. How could it be otherwise? Jesus was sexual. He obeyed the seventh commandment fully. And he was the most complete, life-giving man ever. Isn’t that the freedom we want? Aren’t we always better off following him?" The whole article is at this link, "God calms our sexual insanity" God Calms Our Sexual Insanity: The Seventh Commandment for Today | Desiring God “Sexual freedom is not when we give free rein to our sexual feelings, but when we follow Jesus on his path of wisdom.”

Where is the U.N. to deal with the Haiti crisis?
blackbird replied to blackbird's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
Just skimmed through an article about the history of Haiti. I has had a very complicated and troubled history. It appears the U.S. has been the main country involved with Haiti for many years. Haiti has a population of about 11 million people. If the problems there are not eased somehow, many will continue to flee to other countries, including Canada where they can just walk in and claim refugee status. So it is in the interests of America and Canada to see the problems in Haiti resolved. I don't think it would necessarily mean a bloodbath for the U.N. to go in there or even the U.S. I don't think Canada has the capability to do anything much there. The number of armed gangs may be greatly exaggerated and there may be ways found to deal with them peacefully. They would not gain anything by an armed conflict with the U.N. or the U.S. Haiti’s Troubled Path to Development | Council on Foreign Relations (cfr.org) -
Haiti is a relatively small country. But it is out of control with armed gangs causing anarchy and terrorizing everyone. I'm sure there are countless people there suffering from hunger and in need of medical care and the place is covered with garbage. As it stands it is not safe for medical staff or patients there. Why is the U.N. not there with peacekeepers? Why would Canada be expected to go in there alone? Canada and other countries spend millions of dollars every year on supporting the U.N. and its various causes. One would think peacekeeping for a small country like Haiti would be a relatively straightforward mission for the U.N. until a strong enough government can be elected and put in place to take over there. It's time the U.N. did something useful for all the money it receives and get in there and bring law and order to the place. End the suffering of the Haiti people. Why have we not heard the Canadian government leaders talking about the U.N. going into Haiti?

The Calgary mayor has proven herself to be a radical progressive/liberal and is using her position to try to stifle freedom of expression of those who oppose the woke nonsense. She is not representing all the people of Calgary although that is what a mayor should be doing. I hope the bylaw is challenged in court even though I don't hold out a lot of hope with the liberal courts.

That describes the 1960s sexual revolution which is destroying the west or the west is destroying itself more accurately. People that turn their back on the true God of the bible self destruct. That's how the fallen corrupt human nature operates. Have you not understood that much yet? It's due to the fall of man and corrupt human nature.

Appointing someone to be "Special Rapporteur" should have been child's play to understand it and it should have been someone truly independent, not a family friend and close associate of the Liberal Party. Obviously Trudeau has no intention of letting Canadians know what was really going on. This is nothing more than a feeble attempt at a massive cover-up. I hope enough Canadians will see through this. For more information on how this election interference actually worked, go to: "Furthermore, Richmond Conservative MP Kenny Chiu — who was sanctioned by China in March — says there is a concerted effort to spread misinformation about him. “I kind of anticipated some of the blowback and attacks because of my relatively strong and clear position on foreign interference and influence, and also speaking up for human rights and democracy around the world. But what I did not anticipate is some of the smears and the level of falsehood that's been circulated in WeChat and even now popping up on WhatsApp,” said Chiu, who, while in opposition since 2019, tabled a bill (C-282) to establish a national registry for foreigners engaged in political work. Chiu is also a staunch critic of the CCP’s human rights violations and supporter of Hong Kong’s democratic movement." Supreme Court imposes cruelty on families

Parliament could impose the Notwithstanding Clause on these Supreme Court rulings and overturn the SCC ruling. Pierre Poilivre could also, promise to impose the Notwithstanding Clause when he is elected and make it retroactive. GOLDSTEIN: Use notwithstanding clause to overturn Supreme Court decision reducing sentences for multiple murderers (msn.com) -
If you want some details about how the election interference works, go to this website which tells quite a bit. The mainstream media has not reported the details which are on this website as far as I can tell. Well, the news just reported General Fortin is suing the Federal government and Trudeau for six million dollars. He was fired from his job as the person in charge of the government's actions against the Pandemic. He was fired because of some sexual allegations or charges against him. He was later acquitted. Trans Mountain pipeline is now going to cost taxpayers at least 30 billion dollars, up from seven billion. Election interference fiasco will cost millions of dollars. The government apparently knew about the interference years ago and it looks like they did nothing. The continual flow of illegal migrants across the Roxham Road crossing is costing millions of dollars to put them up in hotels and provide other services. Some hotels were being booked for the purpose but were apparently not filled while taxpayers are still required to pay for renting the whole hotel as a block of rooms.

The Supreme Court ruled last year that the law passed by the Harper government in 2011 giving consecutive sentences for mass murderers was unconstitutional and since then killers who were given longer sentences have had their sentences reduced to a maximum of 25 years at which time some may be eligible for parole. This means the families must go through the hellish parole hearings which causes great ongoing distress in their lives because they don't know if these killers will be released on parole. This is not justice. This is cruelty imposed on the innocent families by the Supreme Court. EDITORIAL: Supreme Court imposed cruelty on families (msn.com) How is it a small group of unelected judges can make such a ruling overturning our elected parliament's decisions on such crucial matters. There is something seriously wrong with this system. It needs to be radically changed.

Canada has been sucking up to Beijing for 50 years and China is Canada's second largest trading partner. Many politicians in Canada may be heavily influenced by China. It took years for Canada to make a decision about Huawei telecommunications company while the Five Eyes decided to ban them years before. What would one expect with a wishy-washy government in Canada?
