I'm sure you mean Reformation. Yes, I agree there were great advances in science, mathematics, physics, biology, etc. Sadly there was also the Hundred Years War after or as a result of the Reformation during the 1600s. The reason was of course the followers of Rome were still attempting to keep control of those areas and countries that broke away from Rome and became Lutheran, Reformed, and others. Rome was not willing to accept the new order peacefully. Germany lost a large part of their population in the wars. Then other wars occurred through the last 500 years right up to the present. Parliamentary democracy was born through this period. We now know the population paid a heavy price for the transition from the totalitarian rule from Rome to independent democratic states. The number of people killed in wars in Europe alone is staggering. But this is a result of the Fall of man as I said.

Some native Indian band up around Pemberton shut down a provincial park for a number of days, which they claim is within their traditional territory and the B.C. government allowed them to do so. Nobody was allowed to use the park and campsites. I doubt that the Indian band had any legal right to shut it down or any law that gave them such a right. How do you explain that? Natives don't always need a written legal paper in B.C. They can sometimes do what ever they want and the government bows to them. When natives blocked railways a few years ago in different places in Canada, the government often did nothing about it. They were not stopped, removed, or punished. They have far more power than non-natives. If you or I tried that, we would be arrested right away.

God Bless Bishop Strickland: America’s Bishop

" I love Catholic people, which is why I expose the manmade religion of Catholicism that keeps them in spiritual bondage. In the article I quoted to you earlier, we read that "Jessie Carbullido, also a confirmation student, was enlightened by the spirituality of the celebration." Jessie may have been enlightened by the "spirituality of the celebration"; but was it Biblical enlightenment? The term "spirituality" can be a dangerous term if it's not rooted in the Word of God. We hear much about "spirituality" from the heathen world today, including from unsaved New Agers like Oprah Winfrey, demonic psychics like James Van Praagh and John Edward, and from apostate, feminist, lesbian, abortionist women preachers like Carter Heyward. Spirituality is demonic Jessie if it's not based upon the Bible. Catholicism is a prisonhouse of religion. Jesus said in Mark 7:9,13... "Full well ye reject the commandment of God, that ye may keep your own tradition ... Making the word of God of none effect through your tradition, which ye have delivered: and many such like things do ye." How much clearer could the Word of God be? We read in Romans 10:3,4 concerning the Catholic Church... "For they being ignorant of God's righteousness, and going about to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of God. For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to every one that believeth." Salvation is not found in ANY religion; but rather, in a Person—The precious Lord Jesus Christ! unquote -
God Bless Bishop Strickland: America’s Bishop

I love Catholics and 55 years ago, when I was a Catholic, I had a priest who stayed at our house on weekends when he came to the village for mass. Once he brought the Bishop who also stay at our house overnight and ate with us. But when I heard the real gospel in 1980 over the radio from the preaching of the Free Presbyterian Church, God opened my eyes and by his grace, He converted me to Jesus Christ. The progam was called Let The Bible Speak. You can Google it I think and watch gospel messages on the internet. But Catholics need to be warned they are following a false religion. This is from: Catholics Admit Sinfully Worshipping Statues! (jesus-is-savior.com) To see the whole article click on the link given here. quote Catholics Admit Sinfully Worshipping Statues! By David J. Stewart The following article is quoted from the Pacific Daily News, originally published on January 16, 2008: Tumon honors San Vitores By David Mercado | For Central Weekly The Blessed Diego de San Vitores Church in Tumon was filled with the presence of dozens of devotees as they celebrated the annual village fiesta Saturday. A Mass, celebrated by Archbishop Anthony Apuron, signaled the opening of this celebration with a veneration of the statue of Blessed Diego. Filled with silence, the people commemorated their saint through prayer... Jessie Carbullido, also a confirmation student, was enlightened by the spirituality of the celebration. [emphasis added] Did you read that? ... "VENERATION OF THE STATUE"!!! In the photo above, Archbishop Anthony Apuron venerates the statue of Blessed Diego during the Tumon fiesta Mass. Oh, how blinded are the eyes of Catholics! They openly admit to venerating (i.e., worshipping statues) which is a violation of the 2nd Commandment (see Exodus 20:4,5). Idolatry! I'm tired of meeting Catholics who defend their false religion, by claiming that they "don't" worship statues. Well, here it is in plain incontrovertible view. The Bible, including the Catholic Douay Bible, condemns idol worship. I scanned the newspaper clipping below from the January 14th, 2008, Pacific Daily News: -
You are straying from the truth. It would be pointless for me to try dissect every detail you raised because I'm sure you would find a counter argument. An artist producing a work of art such as Michelangelo does not negate the horrors of warfare, terror, murder, and bloodshed you mentioned. Similarly, the good things that Canada may have contributed to the world do not negate the negative things that happened to millions of people in Canada. There are countless problems that millions of people have had or are experiencing. None of this would have happened if mankind had not rebelled against God in the first place.

Did you know that Genesis ch1-3 in the King James Bible gives the real cause of the fall of mankind. Here is a fairly complete article on it: quote The fall of man occurred sometime after God created the world and after Satan’s rebellion in heaven. We find the biblical account of creation and the fall of man in Genesis 1–3. According to the book of Genesis, God spoke everything into existence: sky, planets, seas, vegetation, animals, and everything else. He pronounced it all “good” (Genesis 1:25). But when God made man, He got down in the dirt and formed the shape of a human body from the clay (Genesis 2:7). Then He breathed His own life into the man’s nostrils, and “man became a living soul.” He called the man “Adam.” The man had a life that differed from the plant and animal life. He had been created in God’s own image (Genesis 1:27), which means that he possessed an everlasting spirit, such as God has. He was designed to be like God, fellowship with God, reason like God, and enjoy God forever. So God placed Adam in a garden designed specifically for him (Genesis 2:8). In these perfect surroundings, God walked and talked with the man, enjoying the creation He had made and Adam’s pleasure in it (Genesis 2:19–20; 3:8). Because God did not want the man to be alone, He fashioned a woman, Eve, from one of Adam’s ribs. He gave them everything in the garden to enjoy except for the fruit from one tree (Genesis 2:16–17). God told them that, if they ate fruit from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, they would die. Genesis 3 introduces us to another being involved in the fall of man: the serpent. Satan had already been cast down to earth due to his rebellion against God in heaven (Luke 10:18). Satan came to Eve as a serpent and suggested to the woman that God had not really forbidden the fruit for her good but was rather keeping good from her (Genesis 3:1–4). So she ate it and gave some to Adam (Genesis 3:5). Adam also ate it, and in that moment everything changed. Sin had entered into God’s perfect world (Romans 5:12). Mankind had fallen. The fall of man was caused by Adam’s sin. Sin is any human behavior, word, or thought that is contrary to the perfection of God. Because of Adam’s sin, God placed a curse upon the world, the people, the animals, the plants, and the very ground (Genesis 3:14–19). Their sin had brought upon them the judgment of God, and the only just punishment for such high treason is eternal death (Romans 6:23). But God then put into play a system by which human beings could find pardon for sin. God killed an animal and made garments for the man and woman to cover the nakedness that now brought them shame (Genesis 3:21). In doing so, God painted a picture of what He would do thousands of years later when the Perfect Lamb was slain to take away our sin (John 1:29; Revelation 13:8). After the fall of man, God drove Adam and Eve out of the garden and placed a cherub to guard the entrance. This was so that Adam and Eve could not return and possibly eat from the tree of life and live forever in their cursed state (Genesis 3:23–24). They were forced to find their own food and shelter. Adam had to fight weeds and thistles to eke out an existence from the ground, while Eve had to suffer in childbirth. Suffering and toil are part of the curse God put upon this world because of sin. We call this episode in human history the fall of man because, in that act of disobedience, Adam brought a curse upon every person yet to be born. The man who was designed to walk with God in unbroken fellowship had fallen from that exalted position. He was doomed to live in a broken state, in a broken world, apart from ongoing communion with a holy God. God promised that the Seed of the woman would one day save them from the eternal consequences of their sin (Genesis 3:15), but the temporary earthly consequences of sin remained. We all suffer the consequences of the fall of man. Our salvation is in calling upon the name of the Lord and trusting in Jesus’ perfect sacrifice for our sin (Romans 5:10–11; 2 Corinthians 5:18). The world groans under the curse, crying out for the relief that will come at the ultimate redemption of God’s people when Christ returns (Romans 8:22–23). When Jesus comes for all those who have trusted in Him, God will restore all things (Acts 3:21). He will create a new heaven and a new earth to replace that which sin destroyed (Isaiah 65:17; 2 Peter 3:12–13; Revelation 21:1). Mankind will no longer be “fallen” but restored and redeemed by the blood of the Lamb of God (Revelation 7:14). unquote What truly happened at the fall of man? | GotQuestions.org So we can take a couple basic facts from this: 1. Man in an act of disobedience brought a curse upon every person yet to be born. 2. The rebellion of Lucifer (who became Satan) in heaven and his being kicked out of heaven along with one third of the angels was the beginning of his influence on mankiind. 3. God's plan to counter this was the sending of His Son, Jesus Christ, to earth to die on a cross and shed his blood for the sins of mankind. This being demonstrated in the gospels as the way of redemption and salvation for lost sinners. 4. "13 Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: 14 Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it. " Matthew 7:13, 14 KJV

Today government does not need gas chambers and machine guns. They have lethal injections they can give to the mentally ill to end their life. The end result is the same. It is quiet and MAID advocates call it "dying with dignity". It is still the same result as from gas chambers and machine guns. There is no dignity involved. That is propaganda. There is a similarity to Nazis and the objective is the same and Canada is heading in the same direction. I understand they offered this to some veterans who sought help for mental problems. -

No, that is not what I said. It all depends on whether one accepts Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior and believes that He died on the cross and shed His blood for an atonement for His sins personally. You must come to God in faith and believe in Jesus Christ. " 12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: {power: or, the right, or, privilege} 13 Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. " John 1:12, 13 KJV "16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." John 3:16 KJV "12 But this man, after he had offered one sacrifice for sins for ever, sat down on the right hand of God; 13 From henceforth expecting till his enemies be made his footstool. 14 For by one offering he hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified. " Hebrews 10:12 KJV " 6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him. Your comments imply that you are not governed by any kind of moral principles and you do not appear willing to accept any. A murderer could get into heaven if he repented and received forgiveness. There is an example in the Bible of a man who did commit murder and later received forgiveness from God, that is King David. -

That kind of thinking is a sign of being under the control of the dragon or Satan. It is a rejection of God's truth and embracing evil under the belief that somehow choice is always a higher priority than the sanctity of human life. God has certain rules or commands that he has give us in the Holy Bible. There is a reason the Bible is called Holy. It is because it came from God. God's way of thinking is not the same as man's or Satan's. When God says human life is sacred, nobody has a right to say I have a right or my child has rights that supercede what God says. If we go by what you say, then anybody could do anything they feel like if they could get away with it. -

I said we are not far from copying the Nazis. When mentally ill people are allowed to take MAID, we have gone down a dark road. That is exactly what Canada is doing. It is dishonest for you to deny that. That is disgusting. How do mentally ill people have the capacity to choose death? That is bizarre. -

That is not correct. "6 Whoso sheddeth man’s blood, by man shall his blood be shed: for in the image of God made he man. " Genesis 9:6 KJV "1 Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God. 2 Whosoever therefore resisteth the power, resisteth the ordinance of God: and they that resist shall receive to themselves damnation. 3 For rulers are not a terror to good works, but to the evil. Wilt thou then not be afraid of the power? do that which is good, and thou shalt have praise of the same: 4 For he is the minister of God to thee for good. But if thou do that which is evil, be afraid; for he beareth not the sword in vain: for he is the minister of God, a revenger to execute wrath upon him that doeth evil. " Romans 13:1-4 KJV Obviously if police are acting to stop a criminal from killing someone (including the policeman himself) he has the right to shot the criminal. That is just common sense. Not complicated. The verses I quoted above demonstrate that the authorities have the right to kill in certain circumstances. "he beareth not the sword in vain" is proof that the authorities have the power to use lethal force if required. -

Never said that. There are some things that are serious and result in the death of innocent people, such as abortion and MAID, which should be illegal. -

Nobody has the right to take someone else's life except in certain circumstances, such as war, self-defence, police. The command "thou shalt not kill" is a central command in the Bible. Why do you not understand that? Suffering is part of life too. Nobody has the right to say it is time to end it because of suffering. That is called "mercy killing" and is still against the commandment. Once you say that mercy killing is ok, you have entered the same territory as the Nazis and you can justify anything. It is a downward spiral after that. That is just common sense. Why would you want to end it? Suicide is not right either. -

Certain things should be outlawed. We already know you believe in a free-for-all. We don't live in a Christian country. It is becoming more depraved as time goes on. The world is sliding downhill. The Bible predicts this would happen before the end. -

That's what you think without any understanding of the sanctity of human life and the fact humans do not have the right to end it. This is a whole other debate so I won't go there right now except for a couple comments. Natural dying is just that, natural. It is not necessarily suffering. Many people die peacefully, some even in their sleep. They also have lots of means of relieving pain for people who need it. The assumption that dying will always mean terrible suffering is a lie and meant to fool people like you. Many people are jumping ahead and taking their own lives because of the lie. They are literally being scared to death. -

Not specifically a law. But abortion is legal and funded by the government health care system because it is not illegal either. Canada is one of the countries with no laws or regulations about abortion. That means the unborn persons have no protection. -

Freedom is not about being free to do evil. Anybody who thinks it is about being free to do evil is only fooling themselves. Nobody is perfect and we are all sinners. But the thing is this. Some are forgiven by God because Jesus died and shed his blood and they believe in Him and His sacrifice for them. Others reject it altogether and think they will be fine without God and his salvation which is offered. A Supreme Court, laws, government or politics cannot save a person from hell. Putting trust in the world system cannot save anyone. There are only two roads, one leading to heaven and the other leading to hell. -

The kind of laws you support like legalized, taxpayer funded abortions and medical assistance in dying denies the rights of the unborn to life. Euthanasia kills thousands of people every year, many who think they should take it because they can't afford to live or are handicapped and have been led to believe they are worthless. So much for rights under this heathen system. Canada is a leader in killing unborn babies and MAID. I don't see how that is protecting human rights. It is the opposite. You need to believe the King James Bible and repent of your sinful ways and attitude before it is too late. Now is the day of salvation. -

Wow! You actually believe nobody should be punished for their crimes. Do you know how nonsensical that sounds? That must be liberal left ideology. quote As the supreme Lord and the perfect judge, God is the source of all justice. He loves what is good and is the giver of all blessings (Zeph 3:5; Matt 19:17; James 1:17). He also hates what is evil and requires just punishment on the sins that people commit (Ps 94:1-2; Rom 12:19; Heb 10:30). Order in society God desires that human society function justly and orderly. Therefore, he has given to human beings the responsibility to administer justice in society and to carry out fitting punishments on wrongdoers (Rom 13:1-4; 1 Peter 2:13-14; see GOVERNMENT). Such punishments must always be just. They must not be relaxed to favour people of power and influence such as the rich; nor must they be imposed rashly to take advantage of defenceless people such as the poor (Exod 23:3,6; cf. Rom 2:11; James 2:6). Always the punishment must be in proportion to the crime (Exod 21:22-25; Deut 25:1-13; Gal 6:7). Where the wrongdoing involves loss or damage, the wrongdoer should compensate the person who suffers the loss or damage (Exod 22:1-6; Luke 19:8). Punishment of wrongdoers should be carried out primarily because they deserve it, not because the ruling authorities want to use them to teach others a lesson (Deut 13:10; 19:19; 25:2; Luke 23:41; Heb 2:2). If, however, the punishment serves to warn others or reform the wrongdoer, so much the better (Deut 13:11; 19:20. unquote PUNISHMENT - King James Version Bible (kjvonline.org) You really need to study the King James Bible. Man is given the responsibility to punish evil and criminals. The primary purpose of justice in society is not rehabilitation. That is not justice. The primary purpose of the administration of justice must be punishment. Nobody can argue that the liberal soft-on-crime approach has been a disaster for society. Unfortunately Canada has become a victim to the liberal ideology and often has been soft-on-crime, often giving light sentences or no prison time. Canada has a failing justice system that arrests the same offenders repeatedly and the judges immediately release them on bail. Some offenders have had dozens or even over a hundred arrests, convictions, and are still out on the street committing crime.
