Power outage in ON. Apparently those with EV's cannot charge their vehicles, so have to stay home.

Apparently the residents of Ontario were also complaining about neighbours who have and ran generators during the outage. ?
"If I don't have a generator, then you shouldn't be allowed to use yours." Typical Ontarian logic. I'm starting to wonder if the smog has affected their intelligence.

Yes. Just a couple weeks ago, I was waiting in line and behind me was a woman with a baby in a carseat, maybe 4-6 months old. In a mask. I made conversation while we were waiting, tired to get the baby to laugh. She did a little bit, I think. It was hard to tell because of the mask on the infant.

Yes, they sometimes are pretty resilient. I guess I am of the mind that - should they have to be resilient to nonsense? Or should we, as adults - protect them from certain things? Is it enough to cavalierly declare "Children have experienced worse" so who cares if what's happening now is damaging them? I think it's poor parenting to use the excuse "kids are resilient" and just shrug and allow anything to be done to them. I guess that's just me, though......

I've seen lots of babies in masks. Maybe because I notice such insanity. Babies and toddlers. The next generation will be young people who are hypochondriacs and health purists who fear any kind of contact with other humans and want to sue anyone who they "think" they caught a cold from.

Were you unaware that children have been masked for the last 2 years? I see them all over town, masked up. 2 children in one of my dance classes - wear a mask all through the class, every week. You didn't hear about people getting kicked off airplanes because their babies wouldn't keep a mask on? Have you not seen the pictures of classrooms full of masked children? Have you not compared them to the stadiums full of concert-going adults - all unmasked? This makes sense to you?

Yes, I know that. It's just odd that these polypropylene fragments are found in living people for the first time.....after 2 years of people wearing polypropylene masks. I have never agreed with the constant masking of children and babies.
It's probably one of the many, many "coincidences" that keeps occurring during covid.

Went grocery shopping. Yes, the grocery store, that social barometer from which we judge our worth and freedom through purchase of consumables. A place where legends are made, where we saw the heroics of our grocery clerks under covid.
Almost everyone in the place was masked. Not me of course, and a few others.
It was pitiful to see children still being made to wear it. I walked by one little boy who saw my face, and I gently smiled. Hello there, this is what people look like.
Walking through Loblaws, it’s like an idiot poll. I’d estimate about 80% of the populace, or more. Some may do it out of peer pressure, like my elderly mother in law admitted.
You dont have to wear it Ethel, I told her. Fuck the cowards.

You don't realize how much you miss seeing other faces and smiles.....Where I am, most were happy to ditch the masks and seeing them is rare now. I've noticed people are friendlier, happier. More friendly chit-chat and banter at the grocery store and other places.

I hope that's not what it sounds like. This could get really ugly. You don't threaten people with their family - especially their kids!
The Feds should come up with something constructive to DE-ESCALATE what's beginning to look like a dangerously volatile situation. Don't throw gas into the fire!
If what the feds say about mental health impacted by the restrictions is true - then, they should know better!

It's weird to me how everyone who is vaccinated and gets covid, says, "I would've DIIIIIEEEEED without the vaccine!" But you actually had over 99% chance of surviving anyways. Even when they say, "OH! It would've been soooooo much worse without the vaccine." But the vast majority of people have mild symptoms, like a cold or flu and many don't even know they have it. I'm just sayin.
