You only need to read a few threads on any ex-Muslim forum to see how much of a choice it is. Thread after thread after thread of women and girls who are forced to wear it. And some threads from women who DO actually have the choice but can't figure out how to get out of the mental prison that tells them they are whores the second they walk outside without it. Which has always begged the question for me - If it's really a choice, then why can't they choose NOT to wear it?

So if we do any business with the Saudis we have to fling open Canada's doors to everything Saudi? Let their extremist brand of Islam have full reign in Canada? No thanks. Just because I shop at Sobey's for groceries, doesn't mean all their employees are entitled to enter my home anytime they feel like it and do anything they want.

The hijab'ed ladies that my friend worked with? I don't know. I didn't ask. It didn't seem to matter, as their focus was on their being Muslim and making sure other Muslim ladies wore hijabs to work.

It's sad when women participate in their own oppression. I related a story here once from a friend of mine in Canada who worked with a lot of hijab'ed ladies. One didn't wear the hijab (she had to pray an extra 5 times a day to make up for her sin of "vanity") and my friend supported her when all the other hijab'ed ladies in the office harrassed her daily for not wearing it. I was told here that my friend is a liar and Muslim women don't do this to each other because it's a "choice". But they do. And they do it here in Canada, too.

My feeling with the turbans/motorcycles is that they should be free to not wear a helmet as per their religion. However, I feel it should be the same as with smokers - it should be difficult or extremely expensive to get insurance for motorcycle riding without a helmet. And they can't sue anyone when their brains are splattered all over the pavement from an accident that they could have easily survived had they been wearing the proper safety gear. If they want the right to not wear helmets, then they should also have to eat the consequences and responsibilities.

Either way, we pay for it. To me, the process of weeding out illegals and fake refugees needs to be greatly speeded up - due to the large numbers we are receiving right now. We pay for them for years before they are finally given the boot or they create a life including children born here and then we're stuck with them.

That's what I'm discussing. Did you think we were all unclear on what you think the Bible says about homosexuality? Why not just start a thread that says, "I believe Homosexuality is condemned in the Bible and I don't want to hear anything else about it." You are starting to sound more and more like Altai every day - he/she/they do the same thing. Makes some kind of absurd statement and then refuses to allow any discussion on it. But I get it - that's how all religious extremists are.

Are you homosexual? If not, then why would what the Bible says about it be relevant to you? You can easily follow it by not being homosexual. Yet, you seem extremely bothered by homosexuality.

In all sexual species, you can have: females be XX and males be X (insects) females be ZW and males be ZZ (birds) females may become female becasue they develop in a warmer environment, and males become males because they develop in a cooler environment (reptiles) females can become females due to losing a penis swordfight (flatworms) males can be born female and change sex because there is a lack of males around (parrotfish, clownfish) some males look and act like females because they are trying to get close to females to mate with them (cuttlefish, bluegills, etc.) or you can be one of thousands of sexes (mold, mushrooms) Did you mean humans? You can be male even if you were born female, if you have 5-alphareductase defiiciency and so you grew a penis at age 12 you can be female because you have an X and a Y chromosome, but your Y is missing the SRY gene you can be male because you have two X chromosomes, but one of your X's has an SRY gene you can be male because one you have 2 X chromosomes, but you also have a Y you can be female because you only have one X chromosome you can be male because you have 2 X chromosomes, but your heart and brain are female ......and vice versa. You can't use science to justify your bigotry and hatred. The world is too weird for that. Strange that your God doesn't know all this. To reiterate: If you, personally, are against homosexuality then you definitely should not be a homosexual. But you do not have the right to impose your beliefs on others or demand that they follow your beliefs in order to do business with you. If you, personally, believe the Bible is the unerring word of God, you are free to tell others that's what you believe and point out the pertinent Bible verses. You do not have the right to make life miserable for others. It's very sad that you think Jesus gave you personal authority to judge and condemn others. It's very sad that you think Jesus gave you - personally - the authority to impose your beliefs on others. Muslim extremists think the same way as you do. I see no difference between you and Muslim extremists.

You will have to show me where Jesus said "If a person is gay, you must not do business with them in any way. You must not serve them in your business, you must not rent or sell houses to them, you must work to legally deny them any human rights, and you must tell them constantly that they are going to burn in hell." You can personally uphold what you perceive as the teachings of Christ simply by not acting on any homosexual feelings you may have. When you deny rights to other people based on your own personal beliefs, you cross into the "hating someone" arena. Unfortunately, some folks just can't get the difference between the two.....or simply refuse to acknowledge it.

I meant that women have always had fears and concerns about encounters with men. It's just funny that now men have fears and concerns about encounters with women. And they don't like it.
