  1. You give Islam a pass with statements like you and Jacee make - that rape and the consequences of rape are the same in both societies and imply that Western society is just as bad. They are not. They are vastly different
  2. From your article: 19.5% of rapes are committed by strangers 39% by acquaintances I assume Date Rape would be included in the "acquaintances" That's 58.5% of rapes NOT committed in a relationship or marriage. So according to your own information, this statement is not true:
  3. There are some reasons why that happens and none them involve killing the raped woman/child, stoning them, forcing them to marry their rapist or shaming them for life. I'm anti-misogyny and anti-rape no matter where it is found. I don't give Islam a pass just because it's a religion. Why aren't you anti-misogyny and anti-rape no matter where it's found?
  4. The world looks different every 200 years.
  5. I don't think that Date Rape would fall into the "relationship rape" category either and that is a common form of rape.
  6. That's quite the claim. Cite required.
  7. Yes you were. "All the time", eh? You're a liar for Islam. but you're in the right thread - The Mob of Ignorance
  8. Women in Western countries have a LOT more recourse when they are raped than those in Islamic countries. Yes, sometimes it's difficult to feel that full justice has been done. But at least women who are raped in Western countries have access to police and legal teams. They have access to counselling and medical assistance after being raped. They do not have to marry their rapist. They are not honour killed by their families for being raped. Western communities do not stone women who get raped. Children who are raped are not considered "unmarriageable" for the rest of their lives. What kind of person are you who romanticizes Islamic society so much that you do not see the difference?

Given that "Islam" agreed with you about this person's riduculous comments, why are you still holding him up as representative of Islam?

Did "Islam" as a whole agree?  They also just had a big assembly at the 3rd holiest site in Islam to announce their planned world conquest, so......I think there's a bit more work to be done there, don't you?

  9. I wouldn't call someone who believes women should not leave the house without a burka - liberal. She's just following the lead of others here who accuse anyone of disliking burkas and Islam of being "haters". And apparently has nothing to add to the discussion except personal attacks.
  10. Emotionally abusive people do this a lot. Someone sets a boundary and they ignore it, believing they are fully entitled to behave any way they want.
  11. I put Khadr in the same category as Karla Homolka. Justice was not served and murderers are walking our streets.
  12. The question is: Why don't you? They are saying it in black and white. And Muslims are not in any way disturbed by this announcement/address.
  13. I'm in my 50's. Don't patronize me like you're one of the MAD MEN from 1950. It was discussed on the Islam thread. The address to all followers of Islam was given just a week ago. I would think that moderate Muslims all over the world would declare against this, but no.....silence. https://www.memri.org/tv/jerusalem-hizb-ut-tahrir-alaqsa-mosque-conquest-of-rome
  14. I think this is what its really all about for you.
  15. I didn't say they were. I said it happens on both sides. It's one of the many drawbacks of war. Islam just had a big assemblage at its 3rd most holy site stating they are at war with the West and expect to take over soon. I'm a bad person for believing them?
  16. Lands that are at war with the West. Innocent civilians die in all wars. It happens on both sides. Islam is at war with the West. I know which side I would choose.
  17. Exactly. The same Canadian government that bailed his father out when he was picked up in Pakistan for being a terrorist and let him continue to be a terrorist AND use Canada as their home base for terrorism. I don't trust their judgment in this instance.
  18. His job was interpreting for terrorists and building the IEDs that definitely killed people. That's pretty generous to say he didn't kill anyone.
  19. It has a lot to do with treating terrorists with kid gloves. A lot of people don't think that captured terrorists deserve 10 million dollars for being sleep-deprived, having dogs bark at them or being warned of possibly being raped by other inmates while they interrogate him to find the other terrorists he's been in partnership with. The American army left him alive because of his age and we awarded him 10.5 million dollars. I doubt they will ever do that again.
  20. Not everyone agrees with this. You should stop spouting it as "fact".
  21. It is faulty if it allows terrorists to return to Canada and walk the streets freely because we can't give them "Due Process" by providing evidence from a battlefield (nearly impossible). Which is exactly what is happening.
  22. It's a faulty law that allows Canadian citizens to engage in terrorist activities against our own and our allies and get paid millions of dollars to do so. Our laws have not caught up with the fact that these kinds of people have no laws. We are trying to deal kindly with people who do not deserve it, don't appreciate it and would never do the same for us. Living in an Islamic-ruled country sounds better to you than if Canada stopped treating terrorists with kid gloves, sing songs and poetry readings? To each their own, I guess. Mine is too. The only difference is that my compassion for terrorists is tempered by a greater compassion for those who are its victims.
  23. The Khadr family is the poster child for "Entitled Refugees". They used the benefits of Canadian citizenship, all the while denigrating the country and all Canadian citizens and using our country as a home base to terrorize int he name of their religion. They are an embarrassment to our country. How some people can defend them is beyond me.
  24. One of the ways Khadr could prove he has changed is if he were to settle the $134 million lawsuit that Speers' widow has against him and spare them that heartache. He has not done that. He prefers to keep his $10 million. I dont' find it as easy as you do Dia, to dismiss the pain and suffering of those Khadr destroyed - the 158 Canadian soldiers killed and 2000 wounded - some of them by the bombs Khadr was making. http://espritdecorps.ca/on-target-4/on-target-is-the-omar-khadr-case-finally-closed
