  1. All this video does is show that the Muslim World League in London happens to share a postal address with Abedin's mother's journal. If the Muslim World League is a terrorist organization, then why do the British government and intelligence communities allow it a prominent location in London? This is the kind of crap that is being spread, and the unthinking just swallow it up. The journal itself is a small circulation academic publication that looks at Muslim minorities living in non-Muslim societies, and has a wide range of peer reviewed articles; calling it a radical Islamist propaganda publication is ridiculous.
  2. That is the problem, there are a lot of conspiracy web sites out there that are spreading complete crap and people just accept them. I also hear that Hilary is a witch and practices occult. I hear she is a pedophile, etc. Those are all out there in many places, but what makes them true. It doesn't help that we have Trump running against her and spreading the lie that all the MSM does is lie and you should accept the 'truth' websites., but not surprising that comes from a birther.
  3. How about every single investor and their children and children's children are up up as collateral if that resource producer leaves a mess. What about all those abandoned oil wells in Alberta, tailing ponds from gold mines in B.C., etc. If you want to invest in some venture that is going to pollute for future generations, then all your future generations will be stripped of their inherited wealth and forced to live on the site you created.
  4. Yes, the problem is related to the WYSIWYG editor, not basic HTML editing. I expect most of us want to rely on the editor itself to do the work. b.t.w., before the upgrade there was an option to put the editor into HTML source mode but that seems to have disappeared after the upgrade. Since I never really used it before I didn't really miss it but if it is come configurable option then that would be nice to know. The main capability I would like to do on quoting is use it for external quotes and then add after the 'Quote' message where I sourced it from, and who said it. For example below, I would like to put in a link to the CKEditor About page on the Quote line, and if I was quoting someone in particular then I would put their name and possibly date they said it.
  5. Today's Wikileak has Jennifer Palmieri, communications director to Hilary Clinton on Oct 27, 2015 writing exactly 1 year and 1 day before Comey releasing his Weiner laptop investigation. Could that have been payback? We have Rudy Giuliani saying that FBI insiders leaked information to the Trump campaign a couple of days ahead of that announcement. No matter what, it is an enabled web of corruption.
  6. I think the problem is our politicians think that the economy is all about infinite growth. We need to start thinking about the economy as long term stability. Immigration is simply a short cut to pseudo growth.
  7. Yes, we need pencil pushing drones instead. No need for opinions in those that are tasked with forming our laws. What we need are personalities that can go out on the campaign trail and repeat a script.
  8. I will use this duplicate post to link to the actual editor I believe is being used in the forum software, it is called CKEditor, and is an open source product that is highly configurable with lots of extensions available.
  9. Obviously not by using ctrl-enter like I just did, that automatically saves your post. I was reading in the invision forum that if you use double-enter it would break it up but that didn't work and I was experimenting other alternatives.
  10. What exactly do they show, now what Donald Trump says they show but what do they actually show?
  11. Did you know that Donald Trump has 75 court cases, including the one on December 16th about his rape of a 13-year old girl.
  12. I'm really trying to understand what your rant is all about. About the only thing I take out of it is you don't see a big difference between the Liberals and the Conservatives. Is that a good thing or not? Are you expecting some radical change? If so, what is that change you are looking for? You point out problems with refugees, although I don't see much support for your contentions. You also say there are tens of millions of refugees in China and India, can you tell us who else calls these refugees? Certainly there are countries in Africa that are producing refugees. I don't think the PM ever said that skilled immigrants and refugees are the same, there was nothing to concede because that was never the picture to begin with. Yes there are often additional challenges that face us when integrating refugees into Canadian society, but I expect the vast majority will integrate well and become contributing members; where is your evidence to the contrary. Is the purpose of this thread to discuss refugees and skilled immigrants? Nice of you to slip in a Justine and jackass, perhaps you thought that a long rant could disguise them.
  13. Isn't is convenient that we have all the rumours and zero facts.
  14. As I said, I don't know what he meant. For example it is very common to talk about a data dump being a snapshot copy of all the data.
  15. No he used a synonym of Relinquish. It is in the same website you quoted. I don't know what he meant, I am just pointing out that if you are going to use a reference, then use it properly.
  16. If you kept looking down on the list you would have found many words related to dump including: relinquish verb. give up, let go abandon abdicate abnegate back down cast cast off cede cut loose desert discard ditch drop drop like hot potato drop out dump forbear forgo forsake forswear hand over kick kiss good-bye lay aside leave opt out quit quit cold turkey release renounce repudiate resign retire from sacrifice shed stand down surrender swear off take the oath take the pledge vacate waive withdraw yield
  17. I think your other verses quoted are much more in line with the subject of the OP, and agree with you that the non-Christian POV is outside the scope of this OP. This is not about abortion, but the Christian view of abortion. The above verse however I see interpreted as the practice of killing animals for food. Yes, it has more applicability to Jews and Muslims, but then it is an old Testament verse. Don't you see this as the practice of slicing the animals throat and draining the blood prior to eating? Did Christians follow this at one time, but eventually secular practices became more mainstream? I don't think Christians are against the practice, I don't know of any that would reject Kosher or Halal meat (at least on religious grounds, political grounds is a different issue).
  18. Obviously you haven't been paying attention. I suggest a google on "trump housing discrimination lawsuit", that should turn up a lot of information on them. These are the ones where he instructed his staff to put the 'c' beside colored people so he wound't have to rent to them.
  19. ... by dropping bombs on Kurdish groups hundred of miles away from any ISIS factions.
  20. This Muslim Brotherhood link is completely idiotic. It is based on the fact that Huma was listed as an associate editor of the Journal of Muslim Minority Affairs. The journal was founded by her father (deceased - 1993) and is edited by her mother, Saleha Mahmood Abedin, who is a dean of a Saudi woman’s college in Jiddah. Her brother and sister are also listed as staff members for this academic journal, but how much work she puts into is highly debatable because she has worked full time in Washington for decades. Her mother probably passed her a few articles for comments. The Journal is far from radical, yes some articles with a conservative slant have made it into is as have many others. As an academic journal, it has a very small circulation generally to libraries and universities.
  21. I'm not sure I follow how that relates to abortion. Genesis 9 is all about God's covenant with Noah and his family. Go back a couple of verses within the context and explain about eating animals. The verse you quoted is similar to the eye for an eye, or thou shall not kill. I fail to see how it is about abortion. b.t.w. What translation are you using?
  22. and even if he loses, he claims victory just like he did for the '73 housing lawsuit and more recently in the debates
  23. I see, you would rather fill someones pockets than build a school. I don't see any price advantage in Quebec, in fact for beer it seems higher to me. Wine is much harder to compare, but there certainly does not appear to be cheaper wine in Quebec. Perhaps you should do a study on the prices and tell me if you see an advantage. My general impression is the normal prices in Quebec are higher, but there are far more sales where you can get a bargain. If you like shopping for sales then Quebec has an advantage. Of course that runs counter to the store hours issue.
  24. The New York Times had a slightly different interpretation of the press secretary's remarks:
