  1. Obama's 47 Percent Approval Lowest of Any President at This Point President Obama's job approval rating has fallen to 47 percent in the latest Gallup poll, the lowest ever recorded for any president at this point in his term. Link Uh oh, there goes somebody's talking point!
  2. Are you purposely being obtuse? They don't allow any reasonable discussion. Here's another example. Al Gore refuses to answer a question once again.
  3. I was unaware of her run for President of the United States. When did that happen?
  4. I don't think anyone is arguing that radation is good for the body. The debate was whether it's worth a woman in her mid to late 40's to have a mammogram.
  5. You know it's really bad out there for Dems when this is the only "good" news he can find for them.
  6. Enough with your strawmen. I've never once said to ignore science. In fact, when it comes to so-called global warming and abortion, I'd really like you leftwingers to accept science, and not run from it. But let's not change the subject. The fact is, the leftwing media devotes more time and resources trying to discredit Sarah Palin, than they devoted to fact-checking then Presidential candidate Barack Obama's book, or investigating the some 10,000 emails featuring data manipulating, and silencing of dissenting opinions regarding climate change.
  7. That's simply a lie. You shouldn't have to lie to get your point across. And what's with your obsession with Ronald Reagan. He's been dead for several years. He hasn't been president for 20. But whenever somebody mentions Obama, you're right there talking of Reagan. Barry Obama is no Reagan. Get over it. If he was anything close to Reagan, he'd win a 49 state landslide in 2012. Barry ain't winning no 49 states dummy!
  8. What beliefs of mine does this clip reinforce? That in this particular clip, Palin and Shatner are funny? Guilty as charged. And this has nothing to do with her politics, or political future. All I'm saying is that I think the clip is funny. Geez, some of you need to grab a sense of humour at some point. But your deep seeded hatred of this woman makes it impossible to even laugh at a few simple jokes, some of which are directed at her. You guys are pathetic. Hate like that will eat you up inside. You really need to learn to let things go. Seriously.
  9. AP fact-checkers for Palin’s book: 11 AP fact-checkers for Climategate: 5 Link
  10. Yes we know, Obama is Reagan, Obama is FDR, Obama is Lincoln, etc, etc, etc. Fact is, he started with an approval rating higher than any of those Presidents, and fell faster than any of those Presidents. And at this point in his term, he's lower than any of those Presidents. So spin on. I used to think that. Now I'm not so sure.
  11. Palin has her top showing against Obama, trailing 50-44. That's quite an improvement from March when we first tested the Obama-Palin contest and found her trailing 55-35. What's interesting is that there's been almost no change in her favorability numbers over the course of the year. She was at 39/50 then and she's at 41/50 now. That's a pretty clear sign the tightening has had little to do with her and almost everything to do with Obama's declining popularity. Link Poor Barry. It's getting even worse for him.
  12. This wasn't an argument, it was an illustration. An illustration of the continual shut-down of discussion and debate by the true believers.
  13. Of course you'd like Fey's performance better. It reinforces your beliefs. Enjoy your echo chamber.
  14. Definitely!
  15. LOL, you guys are both pathetic. At the very least, view it for Shatner's preformance. It's excellent too. But I know you people wouldn't want anything to get in your way of your pre-concieved notions. Keep your heads in the sand, and cover your ears. You wouldn't wanna have to do any critical thinking.
  16. This is a great clip of Shatner and Palin, reading selected lines from eachother's autobiographies. Enjoy! Even the anti-Palin types in this forum won't be immune to her charm. NBC P.S. I spelled Shatner's name wrong. I apologize. He is amazing and deserves better.
  17. This is a perfect example of what the global warming fanatics really mean about open and honest debate and discussion.
  18. You're moving the goal-posts. Principles can be very different than the actual law.
  19. And they had the other poll on November of '08, when Obama won. However, it looks as though many people are having more than just buyers remorse.
  20. He should be given the Order of Canada.
  21. The numbers aren't "exactly the same" as you stated. But regardless, it's terrible news for Obama. It'd be like a poll in late '81 showing that people were longing for Jimmy Carter again. Spin all you want.
  22. Now you're resorting to lies. Pathetic.
  23. Your constant comparison of Obama to Reagan (not Reagen) is amusing. However, what you always fail to mention is that Obama started with a much higher initial approval rating, so his crash to below 50% was much faster and steeper than Reagan (again, not Reagen, not sure who he is).
  24. This topic could easily have been placed in the 'Dems are in HUGE trouble' thread. But I really think that because of the significance of this poll, it really needed its own topic. Obama 50, Bush 44 "Perhaps the greatest measure of Obama's declining support is that just 50% of voters now say they prefer having him as President to George W. Bush, with 44% saying they'd rather have his predecessor." Public Policy Polling Wow. Just wow. Obama as been such a disaster in the first 11 months of his term, that people are beginning to long for the days of 'Bushitler, scourge of the Enlightened'(phrase not mine). However, I don't think you can really blame the public for this feeling. After all, Obama's pretty much taken everything Bush did bad, and made it 10 times worse. And the things Bush did well, Obama's decided to dismantle. At this point, former President Carter really needs to think about lending Obama one of his famous sweaters, so that the re-incarnation can truely come to fruition.
  25. I find it somewhat disgusting that you continue to equate global warming skeptics with 9/11 truthers. How can you make an exception for that line? Anyways, what about these? From: Michael Mann, Oct 27, 2009 "Perhaps we'll do a simple update to the Yamal post... As we all know, this isn't about truth at all, its about plausibly deniable accusations." From: Edward Cook, June 4, 2003 "I got a paper to review (submitted to the Journal of Agricultural, Biological, and Environmental Sciences), written by a Korean guy and someone from Berkeley, that claims that the method of reconstruction that we use in dendroclimatology (reverse regression) is wrong, biased, lousy, horrible, etc. ... If published as is, this paper could really do some damage ... It won't be easy to dismiss out of hand as the math appears to be correct theoretically (...) I am really sorry but I have to nag about that review -- Confidentially I now need a hard and if required extensive case for rejecting." From: Phil Jones, Feb 2, 2005 "The two MMs [Canadian skeptics Steve McIntyre and Ross McKitrick] have been after the CRU station data for years. If they ever hear there is a Freedom of Information Act now in the UK, I think I'll delete the file rather than send to anyone." From: Tom Wigley, Apr24, 2003 "Mike's idea to get editorial board members to resign will probably not work -- must get rid of von Storch too, otherwise holes will eventually fill up with people like Legates, Balling, Lindzen, Michaels, Singer, etc." From: Phil Jones, July 5, 2005 "If anything, I would like to see the climate change happen, so the science could be proved right, regardless of the consequences. This isn't being political, it is being selfish." Yes Michael H, they're all bastions of honesty.
