Harper to prorogue parliament AGAIN?
Shady replied to DrGreenthumb's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
How did Harper use the Haitian people? By responding and offering aid? What was he suppose to do? This is just another case of Harper Derangement Syndrome. If he's lowkey, he's accused of not caring, he's the opposite, he's accused of using the crisis. Pathetic. -

Why do you view Haitians as less human than others? -
He's Done Everything Wrong Obama punted on the economy and reversed the fortunes of the Democrats in 365 days. He’s misjudged the character of the country in his whole approach. There’s the saying, “It’s the economy, stupid.” He didn’t get it. He was determined somehow or other to adopt a whole new agenda. He didn’t address the main issue. Link This is exactly right. Obama didn't have his jobs summit until a couple of months ago. Imagine being elected mostly because of a huge economic downturn, and hosting your first job summit 8 months later? As for Coakley, I don't think she did a good enough job distancing herself from the handjobers. Those ideologically in Washington who want the government's hand in every aspect of people's lives and economy. Until Democrats refute the hard left handjobers, they're going to continue to get pounded in elections, and that includes Obama.

The only hidden message is in your head! I've never seen such sexist projection. Brown's campaign was completely centered around this theme... <--- This ad ran while Coakley was on vacation in December. <--- This ad was probably the most effective, and one of the best I've ever seen.Only in a deranged liberal universe obsessed with identity politics, can Scott Brown's campaign contain a "secret message." Come'on libs, put down the crack pipes, and step back into reality. But let me guess, his truck is a symbol of male dominance, and lower taxes really means women are only good for one thing, right? As I said before, God bless you guys. You're hilarious! -

Not only is their base gone, but independents have fleed the Democrats in every election since Obama began inacting his radical leftwing policies. If you think that the Dems need to go farther left, then you're only going to compound the the problems that already exist for them. Instead of losing independents in this case 70% - 30%, you'll lose them 90% - 10%. I'm not sure how you equate that with more successful election results. But by all means, be my guest. It just means Dems will be out of power much sooner than I had figured possible. -

See, I tried to warn you guys. I even created a thread called Dems Are In HUGE Trouble. But did you guys believe me? Nope. Instead, all I got was insults and ridicule. I've said long ago that Harry Reid was in deep trouble. What was I told? I'm dreaming. I sounded alarm bells over Jon Corzine in New Jersey. What was I told? Nothing to be worried about. I pointed out the potential landslide in Virginia. What was I told? A Republican dug his own grave over a 20 year old thesis. And now, about two weeks ago, I sounded the alarm bells once again regarding Massachusetts. What was I told? There was nothing to see here. Coakley's still up big. Talk radio's making a big deal over nothing. Well, all I can say is... I TOLD YOU SO!!! -

I have no idea where you guys are getting your "Scott Brown hates women" meme from. But for the sake of moving past this, and on to actual discussion of the impending senate race, let's just assume that Brown hates women, blacks, asians, hispanics, all immigrants, all illegal immigrants, poor people, old people, the mentally and physically handicapped, puppies, kittens, and even hamsters. -

Yep, that video is much better. And I could clearly hear the curling iron reference. The individual who shouted that in the crowd should be ashamed of himself. -

LOL, God bless you guys, you guys are hilarious! Yeah, he hates women, hates his wife, and definitely hates his daughters. You can just tell. Anyways, on to real issues. Anyone have any real exit poll data? I've read some initial data suggesting Brown could not only win, but win big. But I have a hard time believing it. -

It's amazing what one see when one wants to see and wants to hear certain things. I call it the politics of delusion. -

And this man makes us all look moderate! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xlfGjGBrNKg Yes, of course, Brown is just a homophobic racist who supports violence against women. He's probably also an anti-semetic, drug-dealing, dog and cat hater. Oh, and he probably caused the earthquake in Haiti as well. I still can't believe that some people in this forum actually post this guy's comments, as if they should be observed and respected. -

I agree. If Coakley wins, she pretty much owes her victory to President Obama, and to a lesser extend, President Clinton who also campaigned there on the weekend. -

I don't think the Research 2000 is as current. But yes, they have it tied. As do a couple of other polls. -
I disagree with your premise. I don't see a major problem with the prorogue of parliament at a time when the opposition parties were poised to attack the Canadian military. Its a lot better than the progrogue of parliament because of Adscam, in which the Liberals used it for. I don't remember a similar outcry. Probably because you're all opportunist hypocrits. Most people couldn't care less. They're concerned about real issues, like taxes, and jobs. Not whether some terrorists were roughed up a bit by the Afghanistan government. Like I said. Stop talking about it and force an election. Shit or get off the pot. If you won't, then STFU, I'm tired of all the whining.

Wow, all the latest polls show Brown up pretty big! I'm not sure if this is true, but damn, I'm gonna party like it's 1999 tomorrow if Brown pulls an upset! -

Allow me to correct the record. "But in the aftermath of the crime, a Middlesex County grand jury overseen by Martha Coakley, then the district attorney, investigated without taking action. It was only after the toddler’s mother filed applications for criminal complaints that Coakley won grand jury indictments charging rape and assault and battery." "Even then, nearly 10 months after the crime, Coakley’s office recommended that Winfield be released on personal recognizance, with no cash bail. He remained free until December 2007, when Coakley’s successor as district attorney won a conviction and two life terms." Her efforts are hardly worth championing. Who's being misogynistic? People are criticizing her deplorable record. And while she's being soft on crime, she's pretty tough when it comes to pro-life emergency room workers! Coakley: "if you can have religious freedom, [but] you probably shouldn’t work in the emergency room." Add to this her decision to make fun of Scott Brown's GM truck, and his efforts to meet and greet people in front of Fenway Park and you have a real political genius on your hands! LOL. punked, I know you love her, but you have to admit, she's run an unbelievably bad campaign. -

I know that Coakley's supporters hope so, but I doubt it. Lazio's error was his own action. Brown didn't say anything offensive, and didn't do anything offensive. When he was told of the supposed comment from the crowd, he criticized it. I'm not sure what else you want him to do. This is just a pathetic attempt at some last minute political mud throwing. What's worse? Brown not hearing the comment, and then denouncing it later on, or Coakley's own personal actions, or actually lack of action when it came to presecuting a child rapist? It's not even close. -

I saw the video, but I couldn't hear anything close to what someone supposedly said. I think it's more projection from Coakley supporters than actual reality. -

Really? Is there a healthy dose of heroin that I'm unware of? How about a healthy dose of crack-cocaine? How does one go about using methamphetamines responsibly? I know when I'm watching a good football game, there's nothing like a cold beer, or finding a vein and shooting up! But I do agree with you on one point. The government should have no business selling beer and alcohol.
