  1. I think Obama's nominations might be held up because of the way he skirted the rules during the previous year. Obama's appointed something like 40 czars to various positions within the federal government, in one year. All without senate confirmation. He may now be paying for that.
  2. President Teleprompter strikes again! Remember. This is the smartest, most brilliant President America has ever had! Never forget that.
  3. Is Patrick Leahy drunk on the senate floor? Do the Dems have a drinking problem? It would certainly explain their spending habits!
  4. Yep. Unfortunately, this guy's wife was granted a restraining order against him during their divorce. Apparently has a bit of a pattern of violence against women. And it was a real restraining order, not an accused one!
  5. Let's not forget that this isn't the first time this Administration has dumped on the "retards." I think we can all remember Obama on The Tonight Show describing his poor bowling as like "the special olympics." We need to face facts. These people have it in for the mentally/physically challenged.
  6. Good question. Her and some of her leftwing friends. Who see the term fucking retards coming out of the office of the President of the United States as being on equal to a talkshow host, a blogger, and musician.
  7. She's not being a hypocrite, she's playing the game of politics. The same type of politics used against her and her family for the last 2 years. The same type of game President Obama plays on a daily basis. And I say it's about bloody time! You can't fault somebody for learning from the lessons of the past. I'm glad she finally has. Punch back, right in their face! Now, if you wanna talk about real hypocrisy, take a look at the different reactions Obama had to Trent Lott and Harry Reid. That's some damn fine hypocrisy Mr. President! But I think it's quite hypocritical of all of you, to demand Palin be consisent, without demanding it first from President Obama.
  8. It was in a discussion specifically related to the Rahm Emanuel story. It would be like complaining about people mentioning "Negro dialect" in conjunction with Harry Reid's stupid comment. I'm not sure what you people want Sarah Palin to do. Does she need to seek out anyone who's ever used the term retard from a year, two years, five years ago, and demand an apology? You people are purposely blurring the line between government representatives and private citizens. And how many times did people make jokes about George Bush being a retard? There's your hypocrisy American Woman.
  9. I'm really glad to hear this. This type of protectionism was something I was very afraid would happen after Americans elected so many leftwing politicians over the last couple of years.
  10. More fallout from the IPCC corruption. Link Yikes! And now former AGW supporters are turning on them as well! Link Question. How long before AGW scientists are considered to be the equals of used-car salesmen?
  11. No. No, it's not hypocritical. Please examine what I actually said. No. Again, please examine what I actually said in reference to Emanuel. Your focus on my use of the term, only retards the discussion in this thread. And not only that, but I feel as though you've been quite niggardly in your openness and understanding of other people's views.
  12. Why would anyone give a crap what the IPCC stated on anything? They've already admitted to lying on several issues. They're a bunch of crooks and liars. Link Link Yes, it's amazing just how many "isolated" mistakes the IPCC happens to make.
  13. I admit, when I use the term retarded, it's in a derogatory way. I'm also being politically incorrect. I have that freedom. I'm not a politician. It's not my job to represent people. So I can characterize Obama's economic policies as totally retarded, and not give a damn. Which they are by the way. OBAMA'S ECONOMIC POLICIES ARE RETARDED!
  14. Yep. I use the term all the time. In fact, I think you mentioning my use of it is, well, retarded. I'm not a public official. Like I said, I think it's wrong for public officials to be throwing around such terms. Also, I never claimed that using the term retarded was akin to using the n-word. I don't think it's even close. But it's definitely a derogatory term.
  15. I disagree. I don't think it's just politically incorrect to use the term retarded. Especially as a public official. I think it's wrong. That being said, I get a bit sick of people's private conversations being made public for everyone to see/hear. But I'm glad to see that Republicans are holding the Dems to the same kind of standard the Dems have set for them over the past couple of decades. I see they're finding their own medicine a bit bitter tasting. What's that phrase again? Oh yeah, you reap what you sow.
  16. Uh oh!? Science Daily Quick waldo, damage control, damage control! Sound the alarm! All true-believers to the flight deck! That's all true-believers to the flight deck!
  17. Note to Scott Brown haters: This is what violence against women actually looks like! Dem nominee for lt. gov was once accused of holding knife to woman’s neck Link
  18. Ok, how about we compare how much revenue government gains from the private sector vs the revenue it gains from it's organizations? Probably like 99% to 1%.
  19. Of course he didn't. He had his minions at EAU do it for him. Again, he had others do it for him. Once again, he had his other minions do it for him. And lastly, of course he didn't. Because the type of selectively supported peer review, manipulation, and silencing of dissenting opinions is perfectly acceptable within the academic community. Even more so within the AGW community.
  20. Here's a great piece from the Ottawa Citizen, which sheds even more light on the climate hoax, which now even Osama Bin Laden is championing. Link As David Warrens states in the article, I also believe that the AGW true-believers probably do think they're serving a higher purpose. And that cutting a few corners is acceptable if it's for the greater good.
  21. I'm not sure if this has already been posted, but it sheds more light on the hoax of climate change. Link Link How anyone, with even half a brain, can still believe in this religion is beyond me. Every day, new information comes out, of just how corrupt these AGW so-called scientists are. But, I guess there's still people who think the earth is flat. Unfortuantely, I'm guessing rubes will always exist.
  22. Um, that's already been tried, many times, in many different countries. Move to them, if that's what you like. Taking money out of the private sector, and handing it over to government, doesn't mean our standard of living will be better. Government doesn't produce wealth. All government's money comes from the private sector. Government couldn't exist without the private sector. And your "plan" would only hinder economic growth, which would end up leading to less government revenue in the form of tax dollars, not more.
  23. What if Khadr had been killed in Afghanistan by a rocket fired from an American drone? Would that have been a violation of his rights?
  24. Yep, and it got that way with a private banking system. It's actually government intervention in that banking system thats largely responsible for the current economic woes. Who knew that pressuring institutions into lending large amounts of money to people who didn't qualify and couldn't possibly pay it back was bad business? Nobody's saying you're lying. You're just completely wrong.
