Well if you're going to play the theological argument.
I think only Catholics have strict laws regarding divorce, but then again they also are opposed to birth control so I find their doctrine regarding marriage kind of loopy.
Sin is sin though. Divorce probably isn't worse than say . . . envy.
The bible clarifies reasons where divorce is permissible. I guess you'd have to assess the situation in each case of divorce.
For example adultery is a perfectly acceptable reason for divorce. Now "falling out of love" not so much. What about reason's related to money? That's why most marriage split up in Canada. The Bible isn't clear on this.
