  1. It would appear people on the Left are cool with Thousands of Civilians being slaughtered in this so called "Arab Spring" as long as it's not white Christians or Jews doing the killing. It's shocking how little press what's happening in Syria gets actually.
  2. How about you cite a court ruling that says breaking the law is OK as long as it's in the form of a protests. Doesn't really matter all that much at this point. This judge is going to rule on this Saturday and all will be settled.
  3. What fear of Hell? If you believe in God and the only way to be with God is to believe in Jesus what other way is acceptable to describe the fate of someone who doesn't believe in God? If you don't believe in God you shouldn't fear Hell, so how is fear a factor in this?
  4. And atheists commit atrocities too. No believe system is exclusive of evil people. BTW how is it evil to believe Homosexuality is sin, I'm assuming that's what you're getting at when you say they kill them with their words.
  5. We're in agreement on that. There aren't many 1%ers in the area they're camped. If they want to "make the comfortable uncomfortable" they should camp out on the lawn of Queen's park or do what the OWSers did today and try to shut down Bay Street each day.
  6. I'm sure no one would stop them from assembling there overnight. But to bring Yurts in takes it a bit to far. For most reasonable people anyway.
  7. Legal Opinions from who? It's a legal opinion and no one is stopping them from protesting. They just don't want them to camp out. Isn't it imperative to prove camping is an effective tool to protest? And isn't it reasonable to think that daily protests can be equally effective since a majority of the people they are protesting aren't anywhere near the park after midnight.
  8. Says which judge, in what ruling, when?
  9. 1. The Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms guarantees the rights and freedoms set out in it subject only to such reasonable limits prescribed by law as can be demonstrably justified in a free and democratic society.
  10. So I just heard on the radio that Pastor of the Church will abide by whatever the judge rules so there is no safe zone.
  11. You're right. I'm just adding a different element to this thread. No one gives a shit about Christians who get killed all the time in the Arab world. Now Palestinians.
  12. Doesn't mention Lacrosse balls and Hockey Pucks either. Baseballs are kinda dangerous. Getting hit in the head with those would suck a fair bit if you didn't have a helmet. In the schooyard we always played baseball with a tennis ball.
  13. Toronto has anti-idling laws.
  14. Not sure if he should step down. But dude is an effin' moron.
  15. Christians are really persecuted in North America. No one is told not to be a Christian. Christians in other parts of the world are treated very harshly and not many people care. One of the consequences of the Arab Spring is that Christians may not be as tolerated in nations that used to tolerate them. Iraq, Egypt and Syria are good examples of these nations.
  16. http://www.metronews.ca/toronto/local/article/1026722--students-protest-school-ball-ban WTF type of world do we live in where kids can't play sports at recess. I remember playing Tackle Football at Recess in Grade 5. Not even tennis balls? Good on these kids for kicking up a ruckus.
  17. Going to keep saying that if the court ruling goes against the Occupiers on Saturday?
  18. Such Dooshy Christians eh. BTW that sentiment is more about the Homeless people that don't really have any place to go more than it is about the protesters right to stay. I heard this opinion from Councillor Josh Matilow, He never even commented on the constitutional rights of the protesters. The church doesn't own the entire part, they own a portion of the park. If the protesters want to stay at the portion of the park owned by the church no one can say anything as long as the church allows them to stay.
  19. Apparently it is a none issue. The government can choose which bills get brought forward for final reading, they clearly won't choose this one. It is a good way to make the government look bad. And give election fuel for next time.
  20. Maybe they would burn their Health Card if it wasn't illegal to obtain healthcare in the country any other way. Just a thought. But the example is an accurate one. You're acting like The Occupy Movement is representative of a gigantic slice of the population. Has the Toronto protest ever garnered more than 3,000 people? You could get more people to come out to an Anti-Abortion rally.
  21. Assuming camping in a park without a permit is an effective protest of anything.
  22. Classy people. http://www.newstalk1010.com/News/localnews/blogentry.aspx?BlogEntryID=10315191
  23. Or eternity? The crux here is the idea of protest. I can't camp in a local park without a permit . . . unless I'm protesting something? Does it matter what I'm protesting? I could be protesting the Leafs performance as of late. If the judge comes down on the side of the protesters a precedent would be set that bylaws are essentially unenforceable.
  24. Oh so you're talking about what olp1fan was posting then. Give him Hell Mike!
  25. Other than Troll, what other names have been slung at other posters in this thread. I apologize for calling his thread shitteh. That was unfair of me.
