There's a sweet spot for everything. When my grandfather was a young man working in coal mines it was extremely hazardous to your health and didn't pay well at all. My brother-in-law worked in coal mines and made an extremely good living without ever being exposed to much danger at all. Sometimes unions pay off. In nursing, unions basically screwed the whole country. They demanded an end volunteers which cost taxpayers dearly, then they complained that they're overworked. Everyone gets multiple sick days whether they need them or not, they compare their salary demands to those of doctors which is ridiculous, etc. Minimum wage laws are important, so is common sense. The minimum wage for servers can be way less than $15/hr and they can still make boatloads of money. The minimum wage on a construction site should be way higher. To be honest I'm a few decades removed from working around minimum wage earners, I don't even know what it is.

They farm their work out to sweat shops offshore and they do their best to get cheap labour, ie illegal immigrants, into the country to work for them closer to home. If you think about it godzilla, what group of Americans is the hardest hit by an influx of illegal immigrants? Are they competing with Bezos and Gates for jobs and houses? Nope. They don't even compete with the middle class. They actually take jobs away from the poorest of Americans and compete for houses, driving up rents. Cuomo's order turned NY State's care homes into huge petri dishes where over 15,000 people died. If NY care homes were a country they'd be top 25 in the world for C19 deaths. This wasn't just a mistake, they also tried to massage the numbers to protect Cuomo. People who were gravely ill were sent to the hospital to die, and their deaths were recorded as 'hospital deaths' to keep the care home death toll artificially low. CTV news, one of the most respected channels in the western world, which has an obsession with C19 stories and American politics, isn't covering this one aspect of the C19 saga for some reason.

CNN is the flagship for lying alt-left news. They're the ones in the airports, lobbies, etc, and they set the tone for the Dems. MSNBC ramps up the histrionics and tries to be edgier, NPR, CBS etc try to maintain the illusion of being more cultured, but they all follow CNN's lead. Propagating lies and twisting narratives is their raison d'être. The last thing on earth that they want is for you to be fully informed. Our Canadian news is no better, and we don't even have an alternative here. Canada is screwed.

Every angle that you would have witnessed on CNN would be chosen to make it look bad. Just like the Dems chose to hide footage of G Floyd's arrest, and CNN chose not to show it when it came out, to control the narrative and make police look bad, CNN is choosing to show the worst possible footage at capitol hill and completely ignore any peaceful protest on that day. Just remember that you don't get "the news" at all on CNN. You get a distorted perversion of events with important truths omitted, and a smattering of lies which will later be retracted in the most obscure manner possible.

One thing that I like about MLW is that, there aren't so many people here that leftists can flood the zone and make unwanted truths disappear.
