The downward-trending economy had momentum, just like the racial division, cop-killing and rioting of 2016 weren't showing any signs of letting up either. If Obama could have served a third time there would be no combustibles left in Baltimore and several other cities. Even after Trump came in the festival-like attitude of social justice marches was still going strong. The woman's march was big, iirc there was an anti-Trump march in NY where he lived, there was a riot at Berkeley and fires were lit, etc.

I'm not an American, and we make enough money here in Canada. The Canadian economy is in a precarious position right now though. It's at the top of a hill looking down sharply. Another Trudeau government would do irreparable damage.

Assimilating isn't what you think it is. Being Canadian is respecting other people's rights & freedoms, learning the language, learning what constitutes good manners, and contributing to society. It doesn't stop you from being religious or anything else. The opposite of that is for immigrants to hunker down in their own little ghettoes, live off welfare or whatever business they can conduct within their own tribe, etc.

The people who are entrepreneurs have obviously assimilated. No one said that "no immigrants assimilate". It's just a matter of having a system where it's a priority for people to do it.

The stock market is responding to Trump standing up to China. Even Chuck "I hate Trump" Schumer supports it. The cost of not doing anything is much higher in the long run. Listen to Chuck Schumer if you don't believe me. No economy will be all aces for every single person in the country. You're looking at a small percent of farmers and acting as if they're the perfect example of what's happening in every sector, all across the US. Companies weren't threatening, they were leaving under Obama. He said there was no way to stop it. Trump did a good job of reducing it.

It's ridiculous that people keep getting more and more money the more kids they have. Basically, they more of a burden they are to society the more they are rewarded.

They were never forced in the past. They just didn't receive food and shelter on a silver platter, nor were they asked what we could do to make our country more to their liking, so they had to work for everything and learn a language.

Qu'Appelle was in 4 squadron, which was more of a training squadron for officers than an actual squadron of war-ready vessels. They were frigates mounted with 3"50 and/or 3"70 guns that were designed to shoot down planes of the late 40's and early 50's, plus torpedoes which were actually useful. Hence it ran a 1 in 3 watch system which was a lower state of readiness (only 1/3 of the ship's company is awake 24 hrs a day) than a 1 in 2 watch system (always 50% ready) that the more modern, useful ships were on. Normally on a 1 in 3 watch system you had a Saturday routine where the workday was 4 hrs, and if you were on watch in the afternoon then you got the morning off. But on our boat Saturday was a full work day. We go the Saturday routine on the Sunday, but if we worked the afternoon shift we didn't get the morning off. Our boat literally sucked (I know most Navy people never say boat, we called the Qu'Appelle "boat all the time), morale was low, the attrition rate was high, and as a result the Captain (Commanding Officer), Executive Officer ad the Chief (Base Chief Warrant Officer to you guys) were all removed of their command. It was the only base/ship in the whole history of all 3 branches of the service where that ever happened. Of all the people that I was close friends with on that ship that were LS (Cpl) and below, only 1 guy stayed in after his 3 years were up. For sure, 20 of us got out. On MCWU we got 1-2 hrs a day of sleep, but we only did that for two weeks out of the entire time I was on that boat. Aside from that, most of the rest of the time was like I described above. 14-20 hrs/day. We were away from our home port about 190 days a year, but some of that time was spent in foreign ports. Usually about 2-3 out of every 12 days. So we did about 150 days a year at sea, and they were 14-20 hrs long. It might be better than the inf, but it still really sucked.

We have a lot of paperwork here that’s of little use to anyone, it’s still all private and confidential. Just because the state has a copy, that doesn’t mean that they have the right to show everyone. That’s opening up a whole new can of worms with respect to privacy laws. “I can’t file because my broke-ass relatives will start hounding me for money” or “the competition will be able to find out too much about my business.” Etc. All their actual effort goes into covering things up (Bill’s rapes, every other Democrat’s sex scandal aside from Al Franken, Dem ties to Farrakhan, evidence of FISA abuse, FBI malfeasance in the Trump investigation) and creating false narratives (BK - one completely vague and uncorroborated accusation full of obvious flaws should be enough to derail a man’s career, Pulse shooting was a Republican hate crime, terrorist attacks using vans are proof that guns need to be banned, Trump’s anti-Semitism is to blame for the Pittsburgh Synagogue shooting, border walls are racist, border walls don’t work, redactions in the Mueller report are a “constitutional crisis”, impeachment is imminent, there is evidence of actual collusion, etc). If the truth actually comes out of the mouth of a CNN reporter it’s usually a mistake, like when Van Jones said “Russian collusion is a big nothing-burger.” They got it right one single time and they’re not happy about it.

The Dems won the house based on their cries of “Trump colluded with Russia”. CNN and MSNBC pimped that crap to their flock for two years and they’ve noticed that it’s still working. I doubt that NY State can tell a federal institution what they have to do. The Dems’ assault on privacy is insane.

And make no mistake Bubber - Hillary would have been no less eager to talk about "leaked or hacked" info about Trump, so what constitutes suspicion for Trump is basically just normal behaviour. If the knowledge wasn't out there that Hillary's email security was baby soft then the Ruskies probably wouldn't have been fishing for it.

It doesn't say "the evidence of collusion we obtained". If they had that then charges would be laid. It just says he acted in a way that was suspicious. But they even found his obvious joke "suspicious". Said it might be "treason". All BS.

That doesn't mean that evidence of collusion exists at all. That's just a combination of your own wishful thinking and poor reading comprehension. It means Trump took enough actions that make it reasonable to have an investigation when one of the two major political parties requested it. For example being happy to talk about leaked material, making a joke about Russia finding the other 33,000 emails. He had the intent to use the information to win an election. He showed a willingness to accept evidence of Hillary's crime. You could make an argument that there were enough reasons why it was important to have an investigation. You can not make the argument that there was ever enough evidence for anyone to say that "Trump colluded with Russia". Even by the civil standard of preponderance of evidence.... They dug far enough. They found lots of evidence that help was offered and rebuffed, multiple times. Why would the Russians keep asking if their offer was accepted?

Common sense is something that's so easily figured out that there's no burden of proof required. Groupthink is a Tucker Carlson word afaik. I assume it means that people jump on the bandwagon and just believe what their leader, Hillary, tells them. For example: "The election was stolen, Trump colluded." There are still millions of people who believe that despite all the evidence that she was the one who colluded with Russians, she's a known debate cheater, she cheated to win the nomination, she lied about dead people in Benghazi, she killed her own campaign by saying "basket of undesireables", etc, etc.
