  1. GE Workers make similar for the same job. Just saying
  2. Solution: Force the sale of the plant, not the closure It's ridiculous that we allow corporations to operate on a scorched earth policy, closing plants rather than risking more competition and innovation.
  3. See Post by Small C above
  4. You mean on how they kept taking out debt to live their way of life to be paid back by us youngsters? Face it. Our system was set up like a pyramid scheme. It works dandily as long as there are constantly more people at the bottom than the top.
  5. I think we should crack down on paternity fraud. Between 5-15% of kids are born to the wrong father. Who is expected to raise and pay for them, even after divorce. Mandatory DNA testing for any father to be listed on the birth certificate. That's some equality for you. That way, both parents will know that the child is of their blood. Completely fair, no ability for women to continue to abuse men with paternity fraud, forcing them to raise and pay for a child that isn't theirs. Even after divorce.
  6. I applaud the Harper Government on this one. (Conservative Ideologues, please take note) Liberals and NDP are on the wrong side of this. The 50+ can't keep milking the younger generation. The younger generations already have a bleaker outlook with worse pensions, later retirement age and lower working wage...
  7. You are receiving EI while on maternity. You are receiving a child benefit amount if you aren't rich. I didn't get paid for finishing the basement. I didn't get paid for doing the landscaping. I didn't get paid for installing the new dryer. I didn't get paid to clean up the dog crap. I didn't get paid to take out the trash. I didn't get paid to paint the boys bedrooms. I didn't get paid to mow the lawn. I didn't get paid to install the telephone line downstairs to move the computer desk downstairs and give the kids more room to play. I didn't get paid for cleaning and seasoning that cast iron bbq grill she wanted. I don't get paid for the time I spend taking the cars to get maintenance. I don't get paid for ensuring our cars have proper tire pressure (especially annoying to do with blowing winter wind). I didn't get paid when I took my son to the walk-in clinic after work because he had a high fever when I got home. I'm not saying that my life is difficult. I just don't expect to get paid for things I do for my family. My wife and I don't have issues that other people have with money. Family money, is family money. It goes into one account. We consult each other when making large purchases using it.
  8. Oh noes... I've lost my comedy channel...
  9. Par for the course. This is Conservatopia you are talking about. It's where common sense goes to die.
  10. *warning sirens* Manhating bias detected. Insinuating that the invaluable opportunity of staying home with one's child is a burden noted.
  11. Yes You'll actually find it reverse. Young males are being short changed by society. The school system is feminized which makes girls more successful in it. The Media more often portrays the guy as the goof, idiot, or clown while the female is smart and rational, especially in commercials. Young males are being sent much worse messages than "Be beautiful". You are always the villain, it's always your fault, you are an idiot. While girls are encouraged to be everything they can be, males are being ruined to settle for mediocrity. When you take the time to look at the next generation, our young males have being destroyed all in the cause of feminism.
  12. I wonder. It has been reportedly heard all over the world.
  13. Read my statement again and think of it as referring to more proof of gender issues, and less as me being against you. It shouldn't matter whether a poster is male, or female.
  14. The fact that this discussion has anything to do with displaying gender only gives merit to there being unresolved issues surrounding it. It shouldn't really matter.
  15. In Ontario, it is illegal to claw back pensions of people who didn't pay enough into them. The Ontario teacher's pension plan is having this problem. Retired teachers did not pay enough into their pension. Young teachers (and tax payer's) foot the bill. Our entire system is a pyramid scheme for the the 55+. It only works when we are growing and there are more people on the bottom than the top...
  16. I'd rather books and more subtle ways of spreading the word than Jehovahs and Mormons coming to my door. That is for sure!
  17. I have a problem with third party advertising only that we do not always know who funded it. Regardless of who it is for, I want to a list of support from large contributors so that it is crystal clear where the message is from.
  18. If they follow their ideology of only performing actions in self interest, they won't.
  19. Remember where this line of discussion started? When feminists tried to inform me that persuading a woman to have sex after a negative indication is sexual assault. What I think is a joke, is the feminists who claimed that it is sexual assault if you reversed my situation with me making the advance and my wife being tired/just wanting coffee. But I'm a man... so it is impossible for a female to be the sexual aggressor toward me. If the penis is hard he wanted it. I keep hearing about this rape culture... but I don't see evidence of it in the numbers.. Aggravated sexual assaults have declined 48% since 1999... The the other levels of sexual assault have declined 32%-20% in the same time.
  20. It's never OK to throw away tax payer money to friends who were hired in that dept. Never. The Conservative is not convincing me that it is competent at cutting the overall budget as effectively as another other government. Especially important because they fly the alleged flag of fiscal responsibility (which we know is a myth based on their program spending increases). I've worked in both. Both have bad apples.
  21. The root of the problem lies in the fact that politics and power attract the wrong people. Compounding the problem is voter psychology. A truthful politician is an unsuccessful politician. Voters don't want truth, they want dreams, ambition or simply just to be told that everything is OK.

  23. I didn't want to have sex before lunch since I'm a bit sick with a headache. I just wanted to get my coffee once our sick children went down for a nap. My wife approached me in our bedroom before I had a chance to finish changing out my jammies into day clothes. I knew what she wanted, that look was in her eyes. My first response was that I just wanted to get my coffee, sit at the computer to read some news and relax. She jumped on me, making me fall onto the bed. Then she made me take my clothes off. She then had her way with me... When it was done, I put my clothes back on, went downstairs and made my coffee... Then I thought about this thread. I was just sexually assaulted by my wife.
  24. These feminists were indeed man-hating. Not all feminists are man hating.
