    They did decide to do so, however. I didn't hear anything about the 'other' side damaging the statue ahead of time, which I agree would be wrong - but that's hardly "mob rule", since the decision to remove the statue was made by local government.

    Actually I should not have accidentally edited out "in the States". Pretty sure Western style right-wingers are less violent than Islamic extremists. On the other hand, I consider Islamic extremists on the conservative side of the political spectrum.

    A large group of people didn't show up and damage a monument. A decision was taken by the city and was challenged in the court, but the court sided with the city. The statue was being removed legally. The racists used this to advertise theor presence and agenda. David Duke is on your side; are you proud?

    Here is a story that won't make international news. Group of 20 counter-protesters attacked by 100s of the alt-right, beat with tiki torches and doused with fluid. One of the group has a neck artery damaged and two days later suffers a stroke. Gofundme here for his medical costs.
