    If I'm making $20 an hour, why would I demand a raise because someone else got a raise from $11 to $15?   Perhaps instead I could be happy that they were more able to avoid taking subsidies from government or not reduced to feeding their kids junk food because decent food was just a little too expensive.

      Perhaps because increasing the minimum wage increases the cost of living?

      Raising the minimum wage would also raise the poverty line.
