  1. Clearly you don't understand the concept of ESTIMATION and averages. That was why I took half of total number of immigrants not all. Also I counted myself as an average. Not a poor clerk or cashier at store but not as rich as those who come with money to invest or land on high paying jobs like doctors (average income being $271,000 per year) or experienced engineers ($150,000 average income).
  2. It was a statement of fact but liars would think everyone is like themselves. What do you expect me to do for so called validation. Attach my tax returns for the past 20 years!!!!!!! Seriously!!!.
  3. Yes it needs a bit of brain to understand that I didn't pull the number out of anyone's ass. So I would explain in more details for those lacking the former. It was argued that Canada takes in 300,000 per year (by yourself). It was stated that myself as an example have (or will by the time I retire) contributed to the tax/pension system (direct income tax, sales tax, property tax, pension,....) well OVER a MILLION dollars over my 35-40 year working life (less than half remains but already I have paid over $400,000 in direct income tax alone). So I said even if half of immigrants that we are admitting each year (that makes it 150,000 that is 300,000 divided by two) are like myself contributing tax payers (not to mention the other 60% of my income which I don't pay in taxes goes to buy food, clothing, furniture, appliances....etc and sparking consumer spending and growth in economy and hence more jobs in Canada) then 150,000 X 1000,000 = 150,000,000,000 which is 150 billion dollars of contribution by those we are admitting as immigrants EVERY YEAR. Sorry for overestimating your intelligence. On a separate note I agree with those who say we need to cut back on numbers (I believe in half) so that we can absorb. I am not an extreme on either side (neither support a complete ban nor support an increase). I have also stated many times that we need SMART immigration. We need to admit SELECTIVELY so that the majority if not all becoming the million dollar over lifetime taxpayers and tax/pension contributors. We also have to admit SELECTIVELY based on cultural compatibility with what Canada is built upon and Canadians stand for. That is respect for human and women's rights, respect for equality of gender and respect for diversity and respect for other religions and beliefs, respect for freedom and tolerance and diversity and care which most (but regretfully not all) Canadians believe in.
  4. It is people like you who spread the hate by their lies and false statistics. I have given you real life figures and statistics and you have rebuffed by saying that the asian grocery you visited had all asian employees so again you generalized that all immigrants only hire immigrants. Well the Lebanese restaurant that I had my Supper last weekend had a Caucasian cook and a Caucasian waitress if that makes you happy so he created at least two jobs, As why unemployment is so high then blame yourself not immigrants. You don't look at the positive sides likely attributed to immigration that Canadians enjoying one of the highest standards of living in the world. Or their is a national health service for everyone unlike some countries where the sick receives no care and many die or have to live in despair. That Canada is a prosperous country. That Canadians are better off than most likely all of the countries in the world. No country in the world has zero employment rate. Not to mention that Canada is one of the few countries which was built on immigration and by immigrants. I guess that along while ago when your grand grand parents immigrated to Canada they too were blamed by people like you for all problems then? The 6.9% unemployment rate is one of the lowest in the world and you pick that up and pick an easy target and blame immigrants for that and all your personal problems too. That is what a loser would do.
  5. It is not skin color and accent I worry about but rather being swamped by people with certain unacceptable beliefs/cultures which do not stand up to the culture Canada is built upon. That is respect for human and women's rights, believing in equality, tolerance, respect, care, peaceful co-existence. So we must become more selective on who is admitted in. We don't wish to see civil disturbances that we are now witnessing in Europe as a result of them not being selective and their decades long liberal admission policies. I am not encouraging selection based on regions but selection based on personal beliefs.
  6. False info/lies in above post......... Although I have stated that I believe in less number of immigrants but there are some lies and errors in this post. First off you are generalizing all immigrants as those costing Canadians in extra housing, food and clothing or Canada spending your money to keep them alive!!!!!!. Though small portion may (mainly refugees for the first year or so) however this is totally wrong to generalize it to all immigrants most either skillful, or investors (who create jobs for Canadians) or family members who are sponsored and supported by their Canadian families. Closing down the border not only is baseless and unpractical but also is an extremist view and would not be supported by most citizens as they see how extreme and illogical the proposal is. And more importantly it will not solve the unemployment problem but likely worsen it as consumer growth would dampened as population may decline. What you also ignore is that smart immigration is like an investment in the long term. Immigrants today are consumers and tax payers tomorrow. Once employed (or employ a Canadian) they become taxpayers which in turn would support Canadians and Canadian social programs. They also become consumers of goods and services sparking growth and jobs in Canada. I usually don't get personal but in this case I would. I use myself as an example. I for one NEVER ask Canadian taxpayers for housing, food or clothing since I was here as college student (who was self-supported) and based on my calculations so far I have paid about $400,000 in direct income tax since I started working after graduation. Based on same calculation may pay well over half a million until planned retirement in direct income tax alone. I have lost count of other forms of taxes I have paid or my contributions to pension plans. Altogether I estimate a total of well over a million dollars of various forms of tax contributions which I have made and will do with full pleasure to contribute to Canada and kind-hearted Canadians in my small way.. It is posts like yours though that cools me off portraying falsely all immigrants as beggars and bathroom cleaners and burden on Canada and Canadians.. Based on same calculation if even half of what we are admitting to Canada each year become contributing citizens like myself then each year this amounts to 150 billion dollars of lifelong contributions to Canada and Canadians for EACH year's population admissions. So wake up poster and your supporters what the hell is wrong with you and enough with lies about how immigrants are burden to Canadians and Canadian taxpayers and generalization.
  7. Exactly. While we have more people with degrees that the economy requires we bring even more people with degrees into country as immigrants as I believe a large proportion have post secondary educaton. This make it even harder for citizens to find jobs.
  8. Figures aside the reality is it is very hard for university graduates or those with degrees and experience to find suitable jobs and as I also mentioned many people are also under-employed. I do agree it may be easier to find jobs which don't require education or skills.
  9. They have been saying that about impending labor shortage for as long as I remember and yet we have hundreds of thousands unemployed and many more under-employed. Many with Ph.D.'s are among the under-employed (driving taxis for one thing). They claimed in the 80's that there will be a shortage of faculty members in the 90's. I applied for positions in the 90's right to the end of the decade. For every vacant position there were between 50 (for remote smaller universities) to 100 (for major popular universities) qualified applicants in Canada having Ph.D's and most with teaching research experience and tens of publications. The figure was in excess of 200 for US universities for every vacant position. They said there will be shortage of skill workers in Canada and they have been saying this for decades too. Never happened. Many skilled workers have hard time finding jobs never mind recent graduates who find it even harder. Maybe best to re-train our own citizens for those vacant skills (if certain skills are really short) instead of importing the skillful who most will have language and cultural problems. And by doing so the existing unfilled jobs will go to those who are born here or already admitted as immigrants/citizens rather than keeping our own out of work or under-employed forever. Some leftist may see my post as too far to the right and it may be. But I think that I speak what many citizens think but don't say.
  10. The economy has been slow past few years in creating new jobs. The question is whether Canada should accept large number of immigrant numbering in total more that the number of jobs that it creates annually (I believe between 100,000 to 150,000 past year) and my immediate answer without considering population growth is like "No'. We should limit the number to 150,000. Also the cultural backlash may be another issue if immigration departments are relaxed about who they are admitting in. We don't wish to see it here what is happening in Europe where over decades immigrants of totally different cultural values from North Africa and Middle East are causing significant issues. Though I am NOT calling for a ban based on regions I do call for cultural selectivity based on ideology of respect for human rights, belief for equality of gender and women's rights and respect for other religions and cultures.
  11. That is right. As murderous as Saddam Hussein was, he forcefully kept this violent region stable. Some say ISIS is former Saddam soldiers in particular republican guard (maybe they should have been all taken out once invasion succeeded) suddenly turning muslim fanatics overnight and some say some other fanatics who were suppressed under Saddam and some say those who lost everything including family members to US invasion and Syrian civil war. I say a combination of all of above. Bush junior was indeed the worse US president by all accounts (including the economy). Nobody knows exactly who they are but they wouldn't be around if Saddam was still around. All that said maybe someone should finish the job. That someone is not Hillary in my view.
  12. I have no argument that communism or communist economies don't work however it did survive for over 60 years and expanded all over the world not only limited to eastern Europe but also Africa and central America in fact all over the world (by force of course not choice). Especially during the weak Carter administration was the lowest point of Western democracies. However, the important point is that it was during the Republican presidency which forced the Soviets to spend a lot more on their military (because US did it they were forced to match) that brought about the collapse of Soviet Union and liberation of Eastern Europe. If it was another Democratic president the worst of which was Carter then that collapse would have never happened and we would have still deal with Soviets and it empire and go to sleep every night thinking of thousands of Soviet missiles directed at us. No spending alone will not work in middle east but using the strong military (strong after several years of huge spending) will. Only The cancer cells must be taken out though not the whole region...
  13. They tries to match US expenditure on military and nuclear missiles and in particular paranoid about star wars pursued by Reagan together with a bleeding expensive war in Afghanistan and to some extend they did match but only on the military expenditure resulting in a collapse of rest of economy for the civilian non-military population, widespread poverty and its internal collapse.
  14. Slick, The long time enemy (Communism) led by Soviet Union and Warsaw pact governments who believed in a doctrine that they must impose and expand their beliefs on the rest of civilized world by force only fell as a result of decisive policies, huge military spending and strong US (by republican president btw). Now there is a new enemy facing Western civilization and is much more dangerous with similar doctrine (yeah they don't have thousands of nuclear missiles directed at the west as yet but they have millions of suicide bombers and massive support among its population whereas the Soviet Empire did not have support among its population). Again decisive policies, huge military spending and a strong US (again by a future Republican president) will be needed to overcome this similar new and more dangerous enemy.
  15. The loss of power and prestige for the US, lack of foreign policy, expanding extremism in middle east and lack of decisive action by US, weak US foreign policies, a weak US president who remind me so much of Jimmy Carter.
  16. But it is broken and needs fixing.
  17. In other words she will be a "nothing" president!!
  18. Read the history
  19. The difference between middle east and the west is that the former is still a religious region (maybe in 600 years when Islam is as old as Christianity is now it would be different) whereas the west has liberated itself from Christianity as a good majority are not practicing Christians and history have taught them to separate state and religion otherwise it would have been same in the west as it is now in mid east as it was 600 years ago in Europe when Christianity was 1400 years old. So let not compare religions bur rather compare beliefs.
  20. It is amazing or incredible to the extend some people go to make hugely false statements as how many people are better off in their own homeland or prefer to live there than Canada. This contradicts all the facts and statistics that millions are in line up mostly from Middle East to come and settle in Canada despite the poor health care system and they stay in line up for years. How many people are in line up to immigrate to Arabia or Kuwait or Syria or North Africa or even the best of the mid east countries such as Iran and Turkey? And yeah for those with lots of money there is likely better health care in their home which may constitute a small percentage but their God help them if they are poor as a good majority are and can't afford it to pay huge bills and with no social programs in place have to remain sick or die from it........................
  21. I have responded to you already and my response was two wrongs don't make it right. And I have also said religion out of schools. Do you wish me to say they are equally idiots? So here we are and I said it. Al least they don't segregate buses, parks and streets or do they?
  22. Yes indeed as example because they made an example of her by assassinating her for other women.................
  23. Yeah segregate swimming as a start and as they increase in number and power (votes) continue on segregating schools too and then why not segregate buses as well and then why not extend segregation to streets (like a lady from Kuwait was telling me) and then.............. No Thank you. Not in my Canada.
  24. The purpose here is not to attack any religion or make comparison which is worse but rather certain behaviors which I listed (disregards for equality and rights of women, disrespect for women and other religions, suppression of women"s and human rights, and the list goes on) whose believers should be barred from entering Canada because as I said we don't wish a tense situation that now exists in Europe. Europe can be a lesson learned.
  25. Again as I said before we live in 2016 because it is 2016. Religion out of state and religion out of schools. And also as I said it before two wrongs don't make it right. All I am saying is that people who wish or will disturbed our peaceful and joyful way of life should not be allowed in this country at the first place. This is not Arabia where daughters used to be buried alive or women with no rights even unable to drive. Those who support that culture and segregation and suppression of women's rights must stay in Arabia or move there instead of Canada. We do not want unfortunate incidents like this here: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-3710274/Gang-Muslims-storm-nudist-pool-Germany-yelling-Allahu-Akbar-threatening-exterminate-women-sluts.html Again I wish to clarify I am not advocating a ban on immigration from muslim regions as fanatics like above are in small minority even in those regions but rather selectivity in who is allowed in. Currently an overwhelming majority of Muslin population in Canada condemn these acts. Also those who condone these acts must be identified and deported to where they can treat their women as slaves. This is not tolerated here.
