My experience has been that most folks are afraid, if not terrified, of CRA. They fear getting something wrong will trigger a CRA audit. The fact that sometimes CRA agents do give conflicting answers coupled with the additional fact that CRA manuals and other "helpful" documentation are difficult to understand, even by trained professionals, is making life hell for taxpayers.
