Winning what? He's being impeached. Lol

Cons don't pay bills. They just pay big salaries to their cronies. I was around to watch that crooked creep Harris sweat on the stand while lying to the judge about Ipperwash. And I'll be around to watch crooked Ford go down in flames too. He can't even speak in public without getting booed offstage. "For the people" ?? Lol Anybody who believes that is an idiot. Crooks like Ford steal money from children to give to their rich friends.

Like you did? Lol

Economies change over time, will change to address climate change. Oil will be replaced. 75% of Canada's GHG emissions come from Alberta and Saskatchewan. Oil would not be profitable right now without subsidies. That's not a viable industry. And it's not a free market. Renewables are more profitable, and investments are going there. You can't stop the world from changing.

I look stuff up. https://www150.statcan.gc.ca/n1/pub/11-630-x/11-630-x2017005-eng.htm In the early 2000s, global oil prices began to increase sharply, while new advancements in extraction technologies made it more commercially viable to produce oil using non-conventional extraction methods, such as those used in western Canada's oil sands. As a result, Canadian energy exports to the United States expanded rapidly, and energy became an important source of export growth. Energy (oil & gas) doubled from 12% to 24% of Canada's exports in the early to mid 2000's ... until the price of oil dropped in 2014, and manufacturing also recovered somewhat from the recession. The economy has changed substantially in my lifetime, and will continue to do so. It remains to be seen whether Alberta will change with it. Renewable energy will be the next boom, and much sooner than you think. https://www.forbes.com/sites/jeffmcmahon/2019/10/29/huge-battery-investments-drop-energy-storage-costs-threaten-natural-gas-industry/ Oil and gas companies call themselves 'energy' companies. Why are they not producing more renewable energy in western Canada? Alberta and Saskatchewan account for 75% of Canada's GHG's.
-
Exporting oil has only played a role in the Canadian economy for about 20 years, and oil is still only about 5% or less of GDP. While the phaseout of oil will result in significant change in the way we drive, heat our homes, power manufacturing, etc., 'Beyond Oil' will not be a particularly significant factor in the Canadian economy. New industries will replace oil. Renewable energy technology is now taking the lead and rollout will be rapid. Alberta oil is not as important as oil workers have been brainwashed to believe. There will be barely a ripple in the Canadian economy. Alberta could be getting on the renewable energy gravy train for another economic boom instead of wasting time and money on temper tantrums.

Coroner says Jeff Epstein was strangulated
jacee replied to QuebecOverCanada's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
It appears that there may be more evidence to come on Epstein's death - eg, analysis of the ligature. Also, it strikes me as odd that both guards slept for 3 hrs, missing up to 6 30 min checks. It's unlikely that the murders (because surely it was a conspiracy) would buy (and trust) the guards' silence. It's more likely that they were drugged. I would expect whistleblower Baden to 'die' soon, and also Epstein's brother who hired him. -
I respect that soldiers do their duty and protect each other. I do not respect sociopath billionaires who use soldiers for their own private profit. We are all responsible to speak up to change that.
-
I respect that. But all Canadians are responsible for putting soldiers in those situations, just fodder in wars for private profit.
-
Nonsense. Get to know your country better: Most of the migrant caravans are Indigenous people from Honduras, pushed off their land by Canadian mining companies that 'own' 70% of the mines in Honduras. Canadian mining companies ride the wave of US imperialism into many countries, destroying lives and livelihoods and environments.
-
Are you not familiar with research on hiring practices? Pay attention to the science. It makes the world more understandable. It's less frightening to fragile egos that way.
-
All of the US imperialist wars are wanton assaults on the people of countries they invade for their resources or just to sell war equipment. Surely you have figured that out by now, Dougie93.
-
So your theory is that all straight white males are racist misogynist homophobes like you? Lol You are not exactly 'mainstream'. You are part of a deviant minuscule minority - a white supremacist.
-
It isn't my claim. It's well-known research. Of course you would! Lol But those jackets ... ! Ugh. Try to do something about that ...

Firing people for racism that damages a business is an employer's right. Are you suggesting the law should prevent employers from firing people who damage their business? Plenty of people were hurt, thus the massive public backlash that led to his firing. If someone else thinks Cherry is still employable, bankable, they're free to hire him. Free speech has consequences. Protecting assholes and white supremacists from the consequences of their racist rants is a coddling nanny-society approach. Everyone is free to fail and to learn from consequences. Unfortunately, Cherry has proven incapable of learning.
-
White male behaviour in hiring is racist. That's a well-proven fact. Me reporting the truth about that scientific fact ... not racist. You claiming I'm being racist in reporting facts of racism in hiring ... twisting and spinning nonsense.
-
1 I don't recall. Please link to support your libelous accusation. Who am I "racist" towards, for one. 2 I think I've clarified that above. Don Cherry was always a bombastic explosion waiting to happen, and for his employers not to deal with that effectively and earlier is on them.
-
This is quite a bizarre barrage of delusional catastrophizing. White supremacist reasoning is bizarre. Your axons and dendrites are clearly wired for helter skelter. Is that a childhood trauma thing or genetic? Perhaps some combination of both? A need to believe in your own superiority by chance of birth (whiteness) rather than by your own humanity or accomplishments ... because you feel inferior both in humanity and accomplishment, and therefore you rely only on your whiteness as an accomplishment? How very sad. Helter skelter is a need to create chaos for others, to perpetrate the danger, damage and chaos within you on others, those you choose to hate - eg, nonwhites and anti-racists - and those you wish to lead. ?We won't be able to hold Canada together because ... "Canadian traditions and icons like Cherry are dismissed to appease recent immigrants", Many Canadians are not Don Cherry fans. In fact, many have been expecting him to go down in flames for a long time. "free speech isn't more highly regarded", Everyone has free speech. We can speak back at racist idiots like Cherry. Free speech has consequences. "media ... pounce on any political incorrectness", Political correctness used to be called manners, being polite to people, behaving decently. It's how most parents teach kids to behave: Treat other people the way you want to be treated. It doesn't work with chaos addicts, because they are addicted to bringing chaos on themselves: It is their normal state and must be created when it does not exist. So to the psychologically and biologically chaotic, 'Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.' means create chaos in others so they will visit it on you, giving you a reason for your internal chaos. "business interests see too many costs/regulations" and "the population feels overtaxed in effort to pay off/appease special interests". Your wishes for chaos are expressed in delusional thinking. While you may be able to frighten some vulnerable people into believing such nonsense, and into assisting you in bringing about the chaos you crave, it is not reality. There is still some truth in "Neurotics build castles in the sky. Psychotics live in them." And it is also true that chaotic personalities build sky-castles of chaos out of thin air, and frighten others into living in them. It's a double-triple life you lead, what you really feel and think suppressed under an overlay of consciously projecting your internal chaos onto others, society and existence itself, in attempts to validate your own internal chaos. You're welcome.

Wow. Those libelous accusations require explanation of how I am "racist" and how I support "violent extremists". As for age discrimination ... Don Cherry wasn't fired because of his age, but for his racism. It isn't his first offense either. If he had been 'retired' after earlier offenses, he wouldn't have had to be fired in shame. I am putting that responsibility on his employers because I feel they bear responsibility for that: They kept him on well past his level of competency to suck every dollar they could out of his popularity, until his incompetence ultimately shamed him. An employer who does that to an employee is a bloodsucking parasite.
-
Don Cherry admits he should have used different w…: Don Cherry says he should have said "everybody" instead of "you people". That doesn't resolve the problem at all. Don Cherry continues to miss the point: "I live in Mississauga. Nobody wears a poppy there. Downtown Toronto, nobody wears a poppy. You people that come here ... you people ... you love our way of life, you love our milk and honey, at least you can pay a couple bucks for a poppy or something like that," Cherry said Saturday night. "These guys paid for your way of life that you enjoy in Canada, these guys paid the biggest price." "You people that come here ..." THAT is the problem. His rant was directed at immigrants/visible minorities. While he's dancing around it, he's still not retracting his RACIST rant.
-
Should have been retired, I said. Moldy old fart. Lol
-
Well no. But he's fired.
-
That's what I meant. There can't be many of them in the Legion now.
-
Ya, instead of crying about graffiti, they should be trying to find out who feels that way.

WWII ended 74 years ago. If they fought, they are over 90 now, or dead. "They" are not doing much of anything anymore.
