Thats exactly what the NDP would do though. No exaggeration at all. I truly believe that is what will happen. Do you say that they will decrease immigration or make the rules tougher? You'll need to provide a cite to prove that.

So what would an NDP government do?

I don't understand why you people seem to be so against people keep more if their own money and deciding themselves how to best spend it. We are adults we don't governments treating us like children. We can manage our own finances, thank you very much. -
Generally when someone is sentenced from court they are taken into custody in the courtroom and taken to the cells or the tombs as we call them. Usually in the basement of any courthouse. A wagon drives right into the building with a gate closing behind them where the prisoners are transfered. The public is not allowed in these areas. Thus is how it us in Canada. In the places I've seen. It could be different in the States.

Anything under 2 years plus a day is provincial time meaning one could apply for parole after 1/3 but it's almost unheard of to actually get provincial parole if you're serving a short sentence. One gets out on good behaviour at 2/3 anyways so the parole committee is more inclined to allow one to just wait til mandatory release.

Ive spent a lot of money on my tattoos. All done by the same artist who I must book months in advance. I have sleeves up both arms chest plates and am working on back piece. It's the art form. I like my body to be a canvas. It tells the story of my life basically in an abstract way. I put a lot of effort into my body with weight training and with tattoos. Part of who I am. Not into crazy piercings.

Healthcare is something no one in a civilized country should ever have to worry about. However, I think that those with means to pay should have to pay some amount for the year. Like $1000 a year on their taxes to help offset at least some of the costs. -
Eateries in Chinese town hold dog meat festival amid outcry

I've toured the abattoir and it seems to be better. I guess it would be better to be a vegetarian, I tried it for a few months but went back to eating meat. I don't eat pork. In the west, we don't generally eat dogs or horse meat nor should we IMHO. -
Long time NDP MP's not running in 2015!
Canada_First replied to Canada_First's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
I see, so the NDP not running is due to some honorable reason while the CPC retirement is all due to greed. Thanks for pointing out the hypocrisy. -

Bottom line is that it's a public pool paid for by taxpayers. They make the rules. If you don't like the rules swim someplace else. -
The provinces are responsible for their provinces economy. Th tanking of the Ontario economy is directly the fault of the Liberals. No one else has been in power for 13+ years in Ontario. Who's fault is it then if not the provincial Liberals?

I eat free range, organic and non hormone raised meats that we get from local farms only. Beef, lamb, chicken, rabbits, Bison etc etc etc... It's not that expensive to do if you plan for it. I decided to do this because I didn't like the way that the big feed lots and slaughterhouses do things. I didn't want to support or be part of an industry that's mean, hurtful and cruel. -

Before he was first elected and when he was first elected so much was made of him changing the world forever...blah blahblah. He even got a nobel peace prize for nothing. And what has he done that is so great? Nothing really in my eyes. If his race is the only thing he has going for him...welll....If he was white would he be remarkable in any way? -

Israel cannot give a mulligan to the Arabs simply because things aren't working out for them. They chose to fire rockets. Deal with it. -

Citizens must be free to spend money how they wish. If they'd like to spend it in favor or against any political party it must be allowed. We don't need any further rules surrounding this. Our lives have enough government intrusion. We need less not more IMHO. -

I don't think any other options are available. Either they have some form of special status or they do not. I'd also be interested on hearing an alternative to those options Michael. -
Skeptical is healthy I think. However it must be measured and weighed with reason and scientific evidence.

I didn't notice any secrecy. All bills before the house were available to anyone on the web for months before anything passed in the HoC. National security is a concern for our PM maybe more so than any time in out recent history. PM Harper is doing his best to protect Canadians from a very real threat. He's telling us everything he can within those boundaries. IMHO.

Art is in the eye of the beholder to a point. Some graffiti can be art for sure. Some is beautiful. Graffiti tagging by gangs us not art but a threat. IMHO. -
Thats a tough one.In terms of anti vaxxers I believe that all children should be vaccinated. It's irresponsible for patents to not vaccinate. Same goes for a blood transfusion for a child. The welfare of the child must come first above any religious concerns.

We live in troubling times to be sure and our way of life is under attack by fundamentalist Muslims who wish to install Islamic style theocracy governments in every western nation. It's imperative that we install legislation to lake this not possible. This legislation will not have any effect on the vast majority of people living in Canada. Only those who wish to undermine the authority of our government need to worry.I think PM Harper has been a good PM. Who was our alternative at the time? Dion? Ignatieff? Canada said a resounding NO.
