Chippewa is a Nationhood, with its own Language in Culture. It would be the same question as saying are you some sort of European Caucazoid looking to seperate Chippewa? Harper messed up a few time. Most recently when he harmonized tax and made First Nations pay taxes for a 2 months. First Nations told Harper, if First Nations pay more then the 7% they were already paying, then they should get a fair share of the development money for roads, schools, and clean water. Although it doesn't matter for First Nations who gets into government, because the government doesn't represent them in any mannar or look out for there interests. No First Nations have any seats, or representation in this Kangaroo government.

I couldn't agree more that the Indian Act should be scrapped. The only ones' who oppose it would be the government, because then they would have to look at the Treaties a bit closer. The problem First Nations have with it I believe is, none of them consider themselves a Canadian, because they all have different cultures, and languages. So to scrap the Indian Act is great, but that doesn't mean First Nations are Canadian. They made treaties from one Nation to another Nation. To scrap there nationhood, would be a different story, and likely a civil war. This is something nobody wants to get into. For instance, Chippewa Territory runs east to around London, Ontario, to south Kentucky, and west to wisconsin. Chippewa territory, and its language and culture still runs in this area. The only thing that makes us different, is the fact european occupier's called it U.S.A and Canada. So unless U.S.A and Canada are willing to give us our land back, I don't think the Idea of calling a First Nations surrounded by Canada, a true part of Canada. Those special rights you are talking about is called the "Indian Act", and it was not created by First Nations, it was created by John A. Macdonald, whom the stink of scottland didn't even leave him yet, when he came up with these racist and oppressive laws in Canada. Special Rights that you are talking about would be, "Wards of the State", recently changed so that now First Nations are now considered "Human". These other special rights include the exclusion of the development of resources such as mining and others. Under these special rights you are talking about, it was only a few decades removed since First Nations was allowed to consult a lawyer. You are right, I think anybody would be sick to be called a Canadian, and say that this "Indian Blood" makes them so special, especially when they don't have equal rights under the charter of human rights, or protected by the United Nations.

There is no system set up, or even Canada could care less about it, because it has nothing to do with them. even though contracts were signed, and clauses of the Trust Agreements are signed and voted on by the community. Well if Canada Recognizes these rights, then what are they, because there is no definition. The Canadian Court System was only ever set up to take away the resources of First Nations people, because what they did was take away the rights of the people and dehumanize them by calling them "Wards of the State", instead of recognizing them as humans, just like the Indian Act was suppose to be set up for.
