The same can be said for people who move to a certain territory. Why are they electing for Canadian Citizanship, when it has the same relevance as a walmart card, when that particular territory has a Language, Culture, that has been here thousands of years before anybody decided to just brand the people as "Indians" of a territory. So if you move here then you should be asking for Cree, Ojibwe, Chippewa citizanships or the citizanship relating to that territory. If you move to Southern Ontario, then you should be asking for Ojibwe or Chippewa citizanships since its the sovereign nations and territories relating to that area. You hit the nail on head this time. The word "Indian" in the "Indian Act" brands all First Nations as an "Indian" and takes away from there nationhood. Its the same as a "caucazoid act" in Europe, where they would brand Poland, England, Greece, Russia, Germany, Italy, Ireland, Scottland, France as just "Caucazoids" and not the actual Nationhoods or countrys. This is how Canada deals with First Nations. Another reason for not letting them in the national debate.

The dangerous part of those treaties isn't whats said in those treaties.... Its whats not said. All of the First Nations have treaties with the British Crown and not Canada or any province. So when Britian left north america, they also abandoned the treaties. Because no First Nation allowed anybody to set up a country here, that was never discussed. The Assembly of First Nations works much like the Canadian Parliment. The "Indian Reserves" vote in a chief, and that chief is allowed to vote for his National Cheif. You are right, First Nations suffers the same problem as the Greens, because the voting in Canada is ment to break up first nations voting power by sigmenting them to "Ghetto Indian Reserves", listed as 93rd in the world for living conditions compared to Canada who is at number 3. The votes in total might mean a couple million first Nations votes, but it will never amount to anything because the system is set up, so First Nations has no representation.

who cares if they are red, green, or purple party, why not let them in, when they pull in about a million votes as is. First Nations have been here before Canada was even a shot in the dark of John A. MacDonalds potatoe sack, and they get no representation in Parliment. As for the voting thing, when only 44% of the country votes you might aswell get as much say as possible in a debate. I would like to See First Nations involved in this national debate. o.k howabout instead of being "Native Americans", i'd settle on "Aboriginal". "First" in First Nations means original people who's DNA originates from this part of the world. So the word means exactly what it says, the First Nation who originates in that territory you likely call a city or neighbourhood. Its just another name instead of naming all of them like the Iroqois, Cree, Creek, Navajo, Chippewa, Blackfoot, Soiux or whatever "First Nation" is in North America. If you look at Chippewa, they are in both what is known as the U.S.A and Canada. The chippewa terrority runs west to Wisconsin, South to Kentucky, and East to Toronto Canada. It would be the same as the Iroqois going to Europe, and telling half of France you are now English. Even though the culture and language are French in that territory. Just Because a somebody drew a line and called it a few countrys or corporations called countrys. Doesn't dismantle the nationhood of any people. We are an endangered species.

I find it funny that the U.S.A has the Following: 1. Washington Redskins-- This is a racist stereotype of First Nations people in North America. They couldn't find an "Indian" or First Nations person to be the unofficial mascot, but the use a African-American instead. Like the Hollywood "Indians", they were mostly Italian. The Washington Redskins should change there name to the "Washington Blackskins" dress up a white guy as a Zulu Warrior and the Mascot painting his face Black. Another is they could change it to the "Washington Yellowskins" and have an Italian guy dress up as an Asian Ninja, painting his face Yellow with some Ninja Swords. Maybe they could have a team Called the "Washington Whiteskins" and have a bunch of African-American People painting there faces white. 2. I find that Torture is usually not even a news worthy story. Look at First Nations people in Canada they were Abducted, Tortured, Raped, and Ripped away from there childhoods and nobody cares about it. They endured a 51% death rate in these Canadian Government Funded Religous Church Institutions. All the First Nations got was a quick "Sorry" and 10 Grand for your troubles from the Canadian Government. The Church was never charged under the Racketeering Laws, for moving around known Child Preditors called Priests from Europe to Canada, and then hiding these Priests in the Vatican City. The Pope was never charged for being a Co-Conspirator in the genocide of First Nations people in Canada. The New England Company was never sued for financialy supporting the Church and Genocide. First Nations have revealed that there is 28 mass grave sites containing 100's of thousands of First Nation children who are murdered and slaughtered, while Canada Land Laundering and Stole First Nations Land. Actually 6 nations is just that, 6 different nations who mainly come from the east coast, they were forced into unity because of the genocidal "Indian Removal Act", in the United States. Most of them are Mohawk, and infact the Mohawks were at war with the 3 Fires Confederacy for 100's of years. The 3 Fires Confederacy are the Ojibwe, Potowatimi, Odawa. This group was responsible for defeating General St.Clair were it was the largest defeat of any American Army in history. General St. Clair was quoted as saying: "The Indians don't fight fair, they hide behind trees, and rocks". The most famous war between the Mohawks and 3 Fires Confederacy was the battle of Skull Mound, near Tobermory Ontario. This was the battle over the Flint and Fur Trade. The Ojibwe had 1500 canoes that came across the bay from Manitoulin Island, and helped defeat the Mohawks. The famous part of this battle was the Ojibway left one survivor and told him to look at the "Skull Mound" of Mohawks, and tell his people that this would happen to them if they tried again. So when Canada gave away Chippewa Territory to 6 Nations, the Ojibway or Chippewa were never compansated for this at the Haldimond Tract. Although during the war of 1812, the Indian Removal Act forced the Mohawks to choose sides, and fight with the 3 Fires Confederacy to help them continue to survive. The Americans were defeated badly and Chief Tucumseh had the famous "Cowardly Dog" speech, he says: "The English fight like cowardly dogs, they fight and run with there tails between there legs". After this war was completed, the British have always made Treaties from a Nation to Nation relationship and basis. That is why First Nations could never be called a Canadian, but it should be the other way around, the Immigrants need to apply for Ojibwe, Chippewa, or Cree Citizanship pertaining to that area of the country. Most Treaties should be considered broken contracts and deemed invalid if there ever was a ruling in International Courts. Most payments for Land was never made, so the Treaties should be invalid based on the agreement.

The biggest hole in Canadian Law is the following: 1. BNA Act does not describe or define First Nations Rights or Treaties. 2. The 1982 Canadian Constitution says it recognizes and affirms aboriginal rights and treaties. That would mean by law, that all of First Nations rights are still intact by law. They are not Canadian. But the other way around, immigrants would need to identify with the territories of the area. So if you live in Southern Ontario, then you would need to apply for Chippewa Citizanship, and not a Canadian citizanship. All the Indian Act did was try to take away from the Nationhoods of First Nations, and brand them as an "Indian". This would be the same as if First Nations went to europe, told Belguim, England, Italy, France, Greece, and the rest of them that they were no longer known as these types of people and under the new "Caucazoid Act", that they would now be known as "Caucazoids".

We took over Oka, after the Army moved in on the First Nations there, the US army reported 43 planes that flew under the radar leaving Oka. The Canadian Army did back off after Hydro Towers going to London Ontario were ripped down during Oka. Another Chief told Canada it was going to be a cold winter in Edmonton and Calgary with no hydro if the Army didn't back off. Six Nations took back some of there land by force, ripped some hydro towers down there, ripped up a road, and had recovered a file that Identified all of the CSIS agents in the area, along with profiles of First Nations people in the area. There is one spot outwest on a mountain resort were over 100 people have been arrested for protesting against stolen property and laundered land.
