  1. Oh no wait its not a locomotive, its only the "Roadrunner" wearing a miners hard hat with a light on. WWWTT
  2. I agree. Jack has health issues that could dampen things. However official opposition and a Harper minority would lead to an NDP led coalition, and Jack as PM. There is actually a better chance in this scenario instead of the Liberals winning a minority! WWWTT
  3. Man this woman is freakin hallarious. Can you believe this, she's all upset about Harper booting her from the party. But she still voted against the last motion to find the conservatives in contempt of parliament. She must be able to turn the tears on like a tap. Or she is emotionally unstable? I will say this, she is an excellent example of Harpers dimwited shortsightedness. Oh God nows shes up there with her baby!I got to shut off the TV! WWWTT
  4. Actually the question should be "What do the leaders think about about Alberta and Quebec?" Haven't seen them much in Alberta since this election campaign started.Harper even seems to be taking Albertans for granted and the other leaders know they are a waste of time so why bother with the fourth largest province in Canada when they only vote for one party. WWWTT
  5. It must be real hard to be a left winger in Canada. Seeing Paul Martin bumble marihuana reform. The Liberal party having an open vote to extend the Aghganistan mission more than once Watching McGuinty secretly pass "get out of jail cards"to the police before the G20. Listening to Ignatieff whenever he opens his mouth.Ya it must be hard. Its a good thing that Layton is now going up in the polls above 20% and has the real momentum here. Maybe theres light at the end of the tunnel finaly. WWWTT
  6. You forgot to add that he is also lazy. This guy only works about six months of the year and I guess his sons volleyball game is more important than the future of Canada. Keep voting conservative first,Canada second or when it doesn't conflict with your schedule. WWWTT
  7. I believe the NDP policy is to pull out of NATO and use the military for Canadas defence. Whats wrong with that. Switzerland uses its military for strictly this purpose and does not belong to any such afiliation and does not have an aggresive foriegn policy.Aswell they have never bein invaded in 700 years.Absolutely ridiculous for a European country. There military is very large in comparison but strictly domestic. The USA at one time before WW2 had a home defence first policy aswell.I have even heard a strong argument that this policy helped the USA focus its energy on domestic issues to make it the world power house it once was and post WW2 policies started to unravel this. When is Canada going to focus on Canada first? WWWTT
  8. Excellent thread TTM Two of Harpers big wig economic specialists are Clement and Flarety who have a bad track record out of the Harris mess up. Clement couldn't even win a seat for like three or four elections in a row and Harper gives this guy a high profile potfolio,no wonder we have the largest deficit in Canadian history. Who needs the big taxing and spend NDP when you have the reckless shortsighted Harper conservatives. At least with the NDP your tax dollar will be spent on infrastructure, education, health care and long term solutions. But ultimately they are not to blame. After all we live in a democracy, the blame belongs to the people who voted for the conservatives! WWWTT
  9. I agree with you about this. In my opinion this story is growing legs because it ties together with the Carson case Sounds hypocritical of the conservatives and is another black eye or punch Harper has bein taking a lot of shots in this campaign and its starting to reflect in the polls. If evry week is the same for the conservatives then a Liberal minority is possible or a final count of only 10 seats between the two. WWWTT
  10. What really kills me is that many people claim that our system needs this subsidy to make our political system more fair. What about having at least 66% voter turnout to legitamize our democracy? Elections Canada spends lots of money to promote voter turnout, not one single penny actually goes to any voter however. I have also heard the argument that if our political system wants to attract talented people then they need excellent wages and pension plans. In my opinion if we want a system thats fair-pay the voter, having to listen these politicians non stop has got to be worth something at least. WWWTT
  11. Oh really Wouldn't know that from the way you write some stuff here WWWTT
  12. Thanks for the links WWWTT
  13. I was not the only one that was shocked at the extent of the coalitions mandate for a no fly zone. So was the Arab legue. I was hoping someone here could provide a link to some details of the no fly zone that was proposed. But I guess something like that could be top secret and not easy to access. I was not aware I needed credentials to ask questions. WWWTT
  14. If you can not provide me with anything then why say something like this. Were you at the UN meetings leading up to the vote as to what was discussed for the coalition involvement? Cmon buddy your just a Joe sitting in front of a computer. You are not a diplomat or a military analyst or a political scientist. Lets see a list of your credentials to make such a statement Something with some meat. WWWTT
  15. Please clarrify your intent for making such a comment Thank you WWWTT
  16. I think what I am getting at is that I do not believe that the full extent of the coalitions true intentions were fully disclosed when this matter was voted on. I would be very interested if someone here could provide a reference that this is or is not the case. Thank you WWWTT
  17. To some extent I disagree. There are countries in more southernly Afrika that does have a worthwhile amount of oil. However the past colonization and the terrain would detract from any prospect of a military intervention to secure these resources. WWWTT
  18. I do not believe Harper is stupid enough to takle gay rights or medle with abortion. These two subjects involve Canadian constitutional rights. If he did try to reverse supreme court decisions he would be up against a real battle of constitutional rights that he can not win. This would push the conservative party back to the reform days and would give the opposition a lot of artillary. Not just that I am sure at least more than one of his 80+ staff members has advised him against going up against the supreme court of Canada. WWWTT
  19. I believe the immpression everyone had about a no fly zone was that only Libyan military planes that took off would be shot down. The skies would still be patrolled by the coalition to make a presence. I had no idea that meant a first strike of any potential threats to the coalition planes. And I don't believe that the coalitions only targets are threats to coalition planes. WWWTT
  20. I for one sincerely doubt we will see Elizabeth may on the televised debate French or English. And if she does not win a seat May 2nd I believe the greens will just fade away. In 2008 there were many in this country who came to her aid when the broadcasters announced she wasn't invited.Even Stephan Dion stuck his neck out for her(I don't know why).I don't hear anyone else trying to help her now this time round. I even remember many people up intil 2008 saying that our political system should even change to reflect the diversity in the political spectrum(greens). And this actually made sence at the time. Not anymore after seeing the greens attitude towards how our system works. Why should our entire system freakin change because the greens can't get a seat. Why do they have to be present at the debate, only further adding more confusion and public resentment when they obviously do not even want to win a single seat. Her court actions and appeals will go over like a lead ballon when any sencible judge looks at her track record and contempt for our political system. WWWTT
  21. Sounds like Harper couldn't keep his mouth shut, man he's changed. He can't bottle it up forever and must spew like a blubering baby when he gets home. Can you imagine what his wife has got to listen to when they go to bed at the end of each night when they are on the campaign road. She must be one strong woman I'll give her that, puting up with his rants about the coalition and the bloq trying to rip seats from him in Quebec. She must have earplugs and whenever Harper starts talking to her she just nods her head and says "that nice dear". WWWTT
  22. When I read your first line I actually thought I was going to get called here. Ok lets analyticly(I know its spelt wrong) diesect a couple of things you are saying then. The private sector came before the govt.So why the term private? The term private is used to distinguish from public or government. And then the rant about cave-men A picture of caveman Joe came into my head "OK honey I won't be back home to the cave until latter tonite. We've got to re-negotiate a deal with the Neanderthalls over flints and bearskins. They aren't happy with the third quarterly reports about clubs used to hit potential mates over the head with and this could get nasty so I love you babe and I'll see you tonite" Secondly governments grew and evolved over centuries in primarily agricultural based economies. In actual fact agriculture is the largest sect of most of the economies in the world today and without it we would have complete chaos. It is in my opinion the most important sector.Followed by housing and then so on.Just look at what is essential for a human beings survival and that list should be reflected in rank of importance in an economys. I will reinterate that the initial thread was very simple and somehow decayed into an arguement of who has value in our economy. WWWTT
  23. Ok Bill I'm going to give you the last word here. Make it good man. WWWTT
  24. I disagree with you. I believe you are right about the parties being around for a very long time. But the more parties you throw in the mix the more blurred or obscure the division between party lines becomes. And there is also independants, they are minor at this time but are still around. The indys have more freekin seats then the greens actually and in my opinion have more credible merit then the greens.I don't think anyone here would argue this fact. WWWTT
  25. What does IMHO stand for? Are you like singing a song ex. IMHO IMHO and off to work we go? Or are you saying I'm a hore? Please clarrify Thanx WWWTT
