  1. This prospect is looking more and more like a possibility Heres a list of the NDP tsunamia victims in chronological order 1)Elizabeth May and the greens:Where is she?Hardly any coverage of her campaign. She has finally realized that no one will take her serious and that she better win a seat.So she has bein reduced to running a local campaign somewhere in B.C. where she actually has a chance of getting one seat. The flip side is that they have become the first victim of the NDP tsunamia 2)Gille Dueceppe and the block:The Bloq has had a good run at parliament with a strong left wing base. However the same old theme song has become real old.Nothing real tangible to show for the 17 years they've bein on the hill, nothing new coming up.And no longer the first choice of the growing anti-Harper movement 3)Mike Ignatieff and the Liberals:It was either this guy or Bob Rae to lead the party.Don't get me wrong I think Bob Rae is a brilliant pollitician but when you have only these choices the writings on the wall.Just like the Bloq the Liberals are getting tired and after 5 years as official opposition, they are becoming more innefective and dis-associated from the common folks. They represent a time that was and will never return. Harper is now desperately trying to avoid being victim number 4.Giving the NDP the attention deserving of an opponent cabable of winning a minority government.Much like struggling when you are caught in quicksand. The more you struggle the faster you sink. WWWTT
  2. I don't think anyone disagrees with you ES. But waiting times of up to eight yrs! And keep in mind that these realitives are not allowed temporary visiting visas aswell. Unless you are somehow involved in this process or have actuall facts in front of you then scope of this problem is lost! Unless you want to discourage immigration then this would in fact become an excellent tactict! And keep in mind that you have to pay a handsome fee to the government to sponsor someone. And whenever fees are paid for services then the service must be rendered. If anyone attempted this(failure to render services for fees paid) in the private sector they would get their ass sued, why not holding the government accountable to the same standard? WWWTT
  3. Actually nittanylion is somewhat correct. We still have like 9-10 days left before the polls open and the current polls indicate a tsunamia for the NDP. Actually there is a possibility of a NDP minority. I draw this conclusion from the fact that the growing support is getting stronger everyday. It is possible that the NDP draw another 6-7% support in the last couple of days. And by this time next week that could result in numbers at par or a little above or below the conservatives. I believe that this explains why Harper is retreating and playing to his base again as we seen in his interview with Mansbridge. He is fearfull of becoming the next NDP tsunamia victim(Ignatieff) WWWTT
  4. "Money sucking leeches" really you have a site to back this up? Actually do you have a site to back up any of your opinions on this subject? I wouldn't usually ask but for some reason I just can't seem to find anything to back up your argument.I wonder why? WWWTT
  5. Yes it is Or rather that it is news to me that you actually believe what you are saying Incredible! Please go on Hydra WWWTT
  6. One more righty guys then its on Keep trying because I'm itchin WWWTT
  7. Cmon Scotty Hydaboss get some more of the righties in here.Me vs the two of you isn't even worth my time. Get at least two more righties in here and then we will continue Good luck WWWTT
  8. Your doing a fantastic job at hanging yourself so please by all means take more rope WWWTT
  9. Are you saying that Iggy and Harper are intentionally trying to NOT look relaxed for fear of appearing arrogant and cocky respectively? I sincerely do not believe that any leader with the exception of May believes that they would never be in a position to help develop a government(laws, budgets, policies, etc, etc) WWWTT
  10. Hey buddy watch your mouth These are peoples family members you are talking about. They take care of younger family members and contribute to the families well being with experience, love and compassion. Do not belittle an elders contribution to a family and society! WWWTT
  11. I was at the NDP rally in Bramalea yesterday, and Layton mentioned that he would make this one of his priorities. He made reference to his mother in law,who lives with them in Toronto for the last 20yrs.And how easy it was for her to come over at the time but is now very difficult for families. I am not sure of Ignatieffs exact stance, however Andrew Kania(liberal candidate and incumbant Brampton west MP) has assured me that an increase in funding would be in the works. This would alleviate backloged waiting times. If there was a leftwing government in place of some variation or other I believe that immigration would be one subject matter easy for all three parties(bloq, liberal and NDP)to agree on and pass easily through both houses. WWWTT
  12. I've said this before and I'l say it again-Luck favours those that have nothing to lose. The reason for this is because of the pressure of failure. All the debates and interviews so far reflect this Harper and Ignatieff are stiff, period. They are so afraid of failure that experimenting with a different relaxed approach is unthinkable and scary, and ultimately their downfall. WWWTT
  13. And the best looking MP to boot I was disapointed I didn't get the chance to meet her tonite Hopefully after May 2nd WWWTT
  14. Definetly the most boring interview in recent memory. I finaly realized why Harper keeps his speeches and question periods short,he has a terrible speaking(and singing) voice. Mansbridge didn't need to be tough on this guy since Harper was more than eager to hang himself by continuasly talking about a subject that has become the kiss of death for him. Aswell Harper choose a backdrop thats cold and sterile His pole numbers are going down again,He's going to be real glad when this is all over and he can finally retire. WWWTT
  15. Here's my take on this topic From what I know of the Liberals,at least half of its MP's have had a privelaged life. And like the old saying goes "When the going gets tuff, the tuff get going" After the Liberals get chewed up and spitted out theres going to be a lot of long faces and only a few with a seat left in a position to do anything. These are people that are used to having life handed to them on a silver platter. Now they will have to actually work hard to rebuild the party? Fat chance NDP merger talks? WWWTT
  16. This rally was short and sweet and I had the opportunity to meet a couple of big movers and shakers. I didn't get much of a chance to talk with my local candidate(Jagtar Shergill) for the NDP but he did promise to answer any question I have for him and gave me his number. I mentioned this rally to Bill Signal(business rep for local UA46) and he showed up with Sid Ryan(president of the OFL) I was disapointed that Jack showed up at this rally without Olivia but at least I had the opportunity to shake his hand. Jack did address an issue that is on my mind and that is the long wait times currently for family members and denials for temporary visiting visas. No other party leaders have made this an issue as far as I am aware. He has my vote and lets all support the NDP on May 2nd WWWTT
  17. Stay tuned folks I'm off to another rally tonite That is all I will say for now. When I get back tonite I will fill in everyone in on the details. Once again I refuse to stand on the sidelines with a plackard to wave yelling GO GO GO. I will get my hands dirty and approach the candidates with the questions that matter to me! WWWTT
  18. And the oil companies would spike the price right back up,replacing tax revenues with profit in their pockets. WWWTT
  19. As we reach closer to election day Prime Minister Jack Layton is becoming a stronger reality. It seems that Harper,Ignatieff and Dueceppe have that glazed over look much like a deer when caught in your headlights Totaly caught off gaurd,no script,no message, nothing to stand apart or to slow Layton. Does not even seem the media even wants to give any attention any longer to Harper I'm sure Harper would love a chance to take any unscripted media questions now. WWWTT
  20. So how many times have the Conservative bein up at bat to hit the home run? Or the Liberals for that matter? Common denominator in their attempts are the failure to push over the Bloq since the right united! The writing is on the wall and it is only a matter of a couple of years for the skeptics to be silenced. WWWTT
  21. Once again I agree 100%! Most Canadians are completely unaware of the full extent of the GG's power. If you do not believe me than conduct a poll for yourself amongst average Canadians. WWWTT
  22. I agree 100%! But to practise such power is very risky. And most Canadians are unaware of the full extent of the arsenal at the GG disposal. The GG is probably the most feerful person to even use such powers. WWWTT
  23. Ok I will do your job since you can't. The last best example I can think of where the GG really sticks his neck out in Canadian history dates back to the 1890's durring Canadas infancy. Durring an election campaign,Sir John A McDonald(PM) died and the GG appointed an unelected conservative senator as PM.At the time I believe this action drew much critisism and his explanation was that the senator he appointed was the senior member of both houses. The GG actually came out and explained his decission Some people here are under the impression that the GG can continuosly remain anomonous during a critical time,or the GG will act in a manner that reflects only your view or opinion. The GG will never go against the voters decission,if he does it will be his end. Until anyone comes up with actual facts that contradict this then why are you continuing? WWWTT
  24. I am still waiting for more examples to prop your position WWWTT
