Brian Mulroney clearly proved he was against racism by bringing forward sanctions against the racist South African government,Thatcher opposed him while praising the racist government of South Africa! As far as I am concerned this was and always will be Mulroneys greatest achievment!Something that all Canadians can be proud of! I believe that this add(you submitted) would be more correct than that first one that this thread is about.(in reference to culture and way of life) The liberal add you highlighted is done to appeal to the Indian community in Canada.And it sounds like that there are many references to/used by Indian culture. I guess you find other cultures and beliefs "funny"(and in some ways because of cultural contrast it is funny/odd) Where as the first add appeals to unfounded fears and stereotypes re-enforced by politicians and media. Clearly the woman in the first add is American from her accent,but she tries to imply she is Chinese/Korean/Vietnamese/Japanese/Thai/Indonesian/etc,etc by using odd English vocabulary structure.Much like a chep "B" Kung Fu movie from the 70's. We do not usually agree Smallc but now we do. During my time in China watching their tv programs I have seen much mention about "Jia na da" They are actually very fond of Canadian east coast sea-food particularly Newfoundland caught fish! We have an excellent opportunity here to advance many abundant natural resources originating from work depleated areas of Canada! However I believe that Harper and his conservatives have tainted our relations with the Chinese beyond repair and new fresh NDP government is required to re-vitalize renewed partnerships! WWWTT
