You implied that only Quebec voters change their mind. And past elections have shown that other provinces such as Ontario voters as well change their minds. WWWTT -

Very odd/wrong comment. It sounds like you are not familiar with the 1993 federal election. In that election Cretien/liberals won every single seat in Ontario! And by the time the liberals lost Ontario their party was reduced to 30 odd seats! I do not have time to research this but I believe that the only Canadian province to stubbornly support a single party is Alberta. WWWTT -
Actually life is all about risk! I don't believe that you can ever do anything without assuming absolutely no risk. That would be impossible! A $300 000 loan/line of credit is very little risk for someone as stable and secure as Mulcair and his wife.(obviously the bank that lent the money feels this way too) Keep in mind that the Canadian deficit/debt grew by tens of billions under Harper. In fact I would believe that the conservatives would not want to shed light on something as trivial as this in fear of it backfiring. WWWTT
-
Then that should be reflected in the polls. But that's not the case now is it? Have an explanation? WWWTT
-
So have the NDP More seats at the expense of the bloq and liberal. Now they are both reduced to little, the NDP and conservatives will have to feed from each others support now if either wants to grow. WWWTT
-
No big story here. Some conservative yes man went to the local land registry office and looked up the history of Mulcairs house. They found out the leans/loans registered against it. Wippy freekin doo-daa!!! Is this the only house this guy owns?I doubt it. Is this the best the conservatives got?Yep sounds like the conservatives are falling off a cliff and they are making a feeble desperate grasp for any twigs to stop their fall on their way down! And while were on the subject of attacking Mulcair, where are all the attack adds the conservatives were promising that they would be releasing to destroy Mulcair and the NDP??? 2015 couldn't come soon enough! Tougher punishment for career criminals

I think you are right in implying that if there is no physical violence then judges are much more lenient. WWWTT -

Its funny how many people think/feel that our justice system can somehow change how some people think or how they choose to live. The one example used here does sound like the system failed. And there probably is room for improvement. But I seriously doubt that our justice system alone can solely solve all of the problems or prevent everyone from falling into a criminal lifestyle. Its also odd that when a banker or broker falls into a criminal lifestyle and bilks seniors out of millions of dollars and creates incredible hardship then somehow our justice system is fine?? WWWTT -
I have to agree with Cybercoma on this one. But stories like this just show that the conservatives are going to have a real hard time in a few years come election time! What really surprises me is that no conservative MPs have jumped ship yet? WWWTT

Canada suffers from Dutch Disease
WWWTT replied to MiddleClassCentrist's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
Ya here's another prediction that is more realistic! In another few years the conservatives are going to find themselves in opposition and the NDP are going to roll back the ridiculously unsustainable tax cuts and corporate welfare and even the playing field across the country for smaller mid sized labor friendly companies to compete. After these new more realistic much needed measures are in effect and the economy finally starts surging ahead to levels never seen before somehow people who make unrealistic predictions as yourself will all come out in force claiming that this was what they meant in the first place! The middle class is the main engine driving the economy.Always has been and always will be!No ifs ands buts or maybes! I don't know where it was, when it was or who told you differently. But somehow many people for some reason are under some kind of illusion that corporations create the wealth and prosperity. This is an outright lie!In fact it is very dangerous to think this way and I personally would never give anyone who thought this way a freekin shred of any credibility! Canada suffers from Dutch Disease
WWWTT replied to MiddleClassCentrist's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
What a complete load of biased @#%$! I ever heard!!! Oh its Chinas fault! And its the greedy unions fault! In 2008/2009 the big three auto makers had their hides hauled into Washington with subpoenas and their asses were reemed by congress for spending profits like a bunch of yahoos.Scores of countless CEOs,presidents,vice-presidents,etc(upper management) have been raping profits from hard working costumers/clients for freekin decades and now somehow its Chinas fault???Or greedy unions??? You know what, some people actually believe what you are saying/writing!Especially the conservative government! That's why these guys have got to go ASAP! If we did not have large corporations raping the middle class and then begging the government for a handout/corporate tax cut we would be way better off! Time for real change! Vote NDP! WWWTT -
Protests, police provocateurs, masks, etc

Actually you may be right. However this line/course will lead to thread drift so I am not going to go too far into this. Keep in mind that there is a difference between international law and domestic law. WWWTT -

Actually the practice of kettling can be in contradiction of section 9 of the Canadian constitution. So therefore it may be in fact illegal! But this is for the courts to decide. WWWTT -

I do not recall ever saying that I ever agreed with any of their rulings? Honestly I am not even aware of many of their cases? Maybe war criminal trials? WWWTT -

WWWTT replied to jacee's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
Honestly I am not aware of the cases that the international court made their rulings on. Since they made those rulings on cases that were not within Canada then yes their rulings are not applicable here. However this only applies to kettling. Other international rulings other than kettling are another matter. WWWTT -
Protests, police provocateurs, masks, etc
WWWTT replied to jacee's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
Are you implying that because of such limitations, then kettling is acceptable? As well under what conditions are limits applied? And what about section 9 of the Charter? Are you implying that section 9 no longer is in effect, why? WWWTT -

Did the international court use the Canadian constitution to make their findings? Did the international court make an actual ruling in the G8/G20 cases? WWWTT -

Canadian constitution allows us the freedom of speech, including the right to protest. Show me where the criminal code over rules the constitution. WWWTT
