  1. Sounds like many corporations. Funny how that some people don't hold large corporations to the same standard as people??? WWWTT
  2. Here's another law that intentionally targets those that are incapable(financially) of fighting it. Good for you Vic!Go for the drama! WWWTT
  3. According to Canadian law, vendors are obligated to accept cash.(my knowledge of the exact details are probably a little hazy) I believe that it is because of Canadian law that the loonie and two bit have gold color(something about the limitation what a vendor may accept of the silver/copper colored coins) Personally I agree with you, however do you really want to use your credit card at a pop machine or a bag of chips? WWWTT
  4. You don't have to clarify anything! Some people don't like the fact that others have rights and different opinion. Especially the freedom to express their opinion! The real ironic thing here is that some people will be severely punished for trying to bring light to an injustice.Meanwhile the government has committed countless injustices in the past and possibly presently, but always walks away with clean hands! WWWTT
  5. I guess this is what it all boils down to isn't it? Was Cretien being biased? And as I have stated before, since there are so few examples to compare let alone extrapolate an conclusion,I would not be so quick to judge. However if there were more examples? In particular under Cretiens terms as PM? WWWTT
  6. This law is just another sign that the conservatives are getting very worried about the strength of their core support! This law from what I have read so far is full of so many flaws. The only thing that can explain it is that they are going for the drama their core is craving. Concealing your identity is not evidence of criminal activity! Not to mention religious face coverings and other possible constitutional rights. WWWTT
  7. Then why did Black forfeit his Canadian citizenship and passport? I believe that if Cretien errored and was completely biased,Black would have had his lawyers filing lawsuits and issuing subpoenas left right and center. Keep in mind that Black felt his title granted from the British monarchy was more important to him then his Canadian citizenship! And I personally would never defend someone who would ever make such a choice! WWWTT
  8. Why would Harper be upset with Cretien for upholding the law? WWWTT
  9. To me it sounds like Blair and the Queen messed up here. They both must have been very embarrassed As well it sounds like you can not distinguish between honour and title.Or award vs title. WWWTT
  10. False The 1919 Nickle resolution clearly states that he can not. The Nickle resolution was also re-affirmed by Lester Pearson in 68 and Brian Mulroney in 88 WWWTT
  11. OK now first off you are using the titles given to the individuals in question which makes this hard to debate! Secondly,I believe from what I have read that there are several examples, but less an less frequent after WWII. Therefore it is not as if every Canadian sitting PM had an opportunity to weigh in on this vague topic. And there are significant differences between Black circumstance compared to others. I should point out that Cretien is from Quebec and that this happened not too long after the Quebec vote of 1995.Perhaps fear of fuelling Quebec seperation may have played some role in this. But I doubt there is enough evidence to prove any classic liberal vs conservative politics. WWWTT
  12. This case is involved. Do a quick search of the 1919 Nickle resolution as I have and you'll be up to speed to debate this one. This is not about dual citizenship but about titular honours being given to Canadian citizens from other countries. WWWTT
  13. Thats a real big "assumption" you are making. Are you aware that when you call other members here names as you have called me you can be banned or at the very least suspended? Good Luck! WWWTT
  14. Oh no no no!You can't pin this entirely on Cretien and turn this into a partisan political debate! This goes back almost 100yrs in Canadian history, involved several other prime ministers,is part of our succession from Britain and our independence and several other commonwealth countries have taken similar positions as Canada has. And when you consider the actual number of cases involving Canadians I would be much more inclined to believe that Blair and Black have errored. WWWTT
  15. So someone who stands up for equality, racial and class is a tool??? Good luck buddy! WWWTT
  16. It is you that is making the suggestion that Mulcairs implication from within the house is unsupported! There are literally tens of thousands of Canadians whom have immigrated to this country from non European countries that I believe would not share your view. WWWTT
  17. Not in regards to the segment of your comment that I was making my counter argument. WWWTT
  18. Claiming that Mulcair is "sowing seeds" is absolutely false! Don't believe me? Go to immigration Canada and check out the waiting times for permanent residence by country. Notice the pattern? If you don't then you are ignoring the facts buddy! WWWTT
  19. False Yes Mulcair(and any other MP sitting within the house of commons) can "throw out" any claim that they may feel is relevant! WWWTT
  20. False! The house of commons is not a court of law. Mulcair can make any claim he may so wish within the limits of the house of commons without any burden off proof and without being subject to any penalty. This is the law and not any ones opinion! WWWTT
  21. False Black did not lose his citizenship. He forfeited it in order to receive a titular honour from the UK. WWWTT
  22. Regardless Black was approved to enter Canada, therefore his previous circumstance did not prevent him from entering to visit family. If you feel he was treated unfairly by the American justice system then start a thread revolving around this topic. WWWTT
  23. I would only recognize his comments as being classless if it can be proven to be untrue! There are countless well documented cases in Canada where race was a deciding factor in much decision making and policy! For you to claim that Mulcair acted/spoke inappropriately you are taking the position that all race related matters/conflicts/disputes have been resolved within Canada. Since this as well is very difficult to prove then it is in my opinion that Mulcair spoke well within the limits of his constituents mandate. In other words some people vote NDP because they feel that an NDP candidate will defend the rights of minorities! Are you suggesting that all racial inequalities have been fairly resolved within Canada. And in particularly within the government and all of its branches, bodies, institutions, etc and at all levels of government across Canada? WWWTT
  24. This is your opinion that I do not share.Neither does Mulcair. Some will be offended, but that's tuff! WWWTT
