  1. I'm saying that mothers' are granted custody more often, even if they haven't been the primary care giver.
  2. Wrong. I know due to first hand family knowledge that this is blatantly false.
  3. I'm extra lucky...mine does!!!
  4. Ok, what would you qualify as terrorism if you don't think an illegal combatant kills an ally, after making videos showing how he intends to murder by bombing? The only reason this is getting beaten to death is the Liberal love fest for this guy. Anathema to me I don't understand anyone of any stripe defending a murderer.
  5. Sacrilege!!! 2112 was my first Rush tour, and the two other albums you mention were two other tours I saw of theirs...Moving Pictures and Permanent Waves. Moving Pics was incredible! Well, they all were. I hated 90210, but saw them play at Exhibition Place for that tour. Chris Squire's bass solo stood out from that show. RIP Chris. Genesis is another band I saw too late. Phil Collins is an incredible drummer, but damn I hated him fronting Genesis. Saw the Mama tour. Like I said, much too late.Gabriel live is still one of the best shows I've ever seen. Tool and the Mars Volta are two newer prog bands I can't stop listening too, even though TMV are now defucnt.
  6. Making bombs and bomb detonating devices certainly qualifies as terrorism. Let's not forget he is on camera doing just that. Al Queda et al don't just target American soldiers. Terrorist? Check.
  7. Agreed. I'm not a huge Weezer fan anyways, did Hashpipe in an old cover band, but meh. Rancid is a big pull for me, as are Cancer Bats. I agree with almost all of your choises, but never understood Die Mannequin..so many friends go mad for them. Of course, AOF is gonna rock...so glad they are back doing this tour.
  8. lol I was literally going to say "and I don't mean Michael Hardner": but didn't want to offend anyone...
  9. Hated? Man, have you been reading this forum? Lefties LOVE this terrorist.
  10. Seeing him for the first time in Sept. Pumped for MH...and a few others. http://riotfest.org/toronto/
  11. I looked at the 2015 lineup and didn`t know or like a whole lot of the acts. I listedned to Florence and the Machine and Future Islands today for the first time due to recommendations here, but not really my thing. Motorhead, however..lol The Waterboys, The Who (like, if this was 30 years ago) Patti Smith, a few of the punkers like the Buzzcocks is all I really saw that I personally liked. I guess I am also old and out of the loop.
  12. If you've read the TRC recommendations, you know how ridiculous and frivilous 99% of them are and impossible to implement. Money wasted right there. Reconciliation cannot be bought. FNs need to help themselves, as us endlessly funneling money to them has not worked. Nor will it ever. There have been several links posted in Reconciliation..Moving Forward where FNs have improved their circumstances by working as a team, with a plan. Moving forward, more FNs should be encouraged to adopt similar plans. As in the case of the Penticton Indian Band, they recieved a loan...not a handout....and reduced unemployment from 60 to 20 percent. Why these success stories are not widely known or emulated is anyones' guess, but maybe instead of the ridiculous TRC recommendations, they could recommend FNs studying and implementing plans that actually work instead of perpetuating white guilt.
  13. Unless of course you're in Quebec, where anything in English is verboten. Double standard much, distinct society?
  14. I was going to add Live Rust, but that's what. 35 years ago? Saw him a few years ago for the first time and wasn't disappointed. Saying that, I am disappointed in his Monasanto diatribe. I don't believe he has researched the issue very well.
  15. Toronto just gave Kessel away. He had to go, but not for fire sale prices.

Kessel had to go. Despite being a talented, one-dimensional player he had very little value and the trade reflected that. Phil will do well in Pittsburgh because they are defensively sound and only need him to finish.

Spalling is a decent role player and maybe a pick will pan out...but really TO dumped a talent with a bad attitude that was no longer good for the dressing room.

I agree AC. They wanted him gone. Still think they could have done better, but I agree with an editorial that said it was to let the rest of the Leafs know to wake tfu. Hopefully it works.

  16. I was going to say 2112 by Rush. Their early work is stellar, and you cannot mention Canadian music without mentioning them. I liked your suggestion of Our Lady Peace. Naveed probably? I Mother Earth is still one of my all time favourite bands, just saw them for the fourth time a few weekends ago. Personal favourite though is Dig. Some newer stuff also? City and Colour? Alexisonfire Old Crows/Young Cardinals
  17. Who pays employees? Employers. That's called a job.
  18. Odd then that Mexico, which has free trade agreements with 45 different countries is being inundated with union driven car companies.
  19. Corporations do not produce jobs? How then do employees sell corporations their labour. You know that's what a job is. I've heard all these arguments before, and we can argue semantics all day. Fact is, corporations employ people, however you want to slice it up. They pay them, whether you want to call it a job or selling your labour.
  20. Yes it was. "Have you read the June 22/2015 Macleans special feature titled Indigenous Development,. It chronicles several success stories, including how a reserve, Penticton Indian Band, used an economic development plan to reduce unemployment from 60% to 20% and helped infrastructure, including building a new health centre and upgrading their school. They had a plan and followed it. There is no reason many other FNs cannot follow suit".
  21. I actually stated the case of the Pentiction Indian Tribe who has, of their own volition, brought unemployment and poverty way down, citing several key elements to accomplish this. You have not brought much forward. Who else do you blame? If I am stuck in poverty and addiction, who do I blame? FN people have just as much opportunity as the rest of us.
  22. Agreed. Corporations produce jobs and product. Unions produce neither jobs, nor product. They cannot protect your job. The only thing they can 100% (at least in Canada, where we don't have work to rule) guarantee you is the fact you will have to pay union dues.
  23. I know what bigot means. It is used properly. I`m not going around this merry-go-round with you again. I`ve posted tons of links showing he did admit doing it. As well as videos of him making bomb detonating devices. If you all think murdering our allies is an ok thing, I am done arguing with you.
  24. Yes, it is obvious. I respect your opinion.
