http://news.nationalpost.com/full-comment/andrew-coyne-sordid-encounters-of-the-liberal-kind Of course none of this compares to paying back 90k of our money and covering it up, a hand maiden to Chinese billionaires though, that's the kind of world citizen Pm the young voter needs to assure themselves that democracy is well cared for.

How unpleasant for you, ah who am I kidding, you couldn't care less how corrupt the libs are, after all, this is what they do.

Or or or....they could actually follow the rules they set out for themselves, you know, the rules of smug superiority over everything and anything conservative, rules in the vein of, "Canada is back". I wonder though, when will the Harper is Hitler types start to apply that line of thinking to Trudeau, after all the lies he's told and promises broken in the first year we must be getting close, those types of people are very fair and reasonable after all, not like the lock her up gang, those people are CRAZY. Then again, legal pot is coming, I suspect there is a strong correlation between the Hitler and pot demographics, so perhaps they have just forgotten to pay attention, hopefully for the liberals they remember to vote again next election.

O because some have been, even while it was obvious he wasn't, and frankly couldn't be telling the truth, now that he has actually admitted to that, it would be nice to see his defenders continue to try to defend him. I'm not sure why they would do that, perhaps you could ask them why they were, it's more likely that you would be better able to understand that mindset.

I can't find it but I seem to recall reading an article about some shady dealings surrounding the property the property the port is to sit on, but then it's Cape Breton, so that wouldn't be a shock. But something I do wonder about, some of the highway infrastructure between Sydney and the mainland isn't very good and the roads passes through some small towns who I assume will at some point be inundated with truck traffic, would have made more sense to build this on the Canso Causeway. I hope, like so many other cape Breton projects, particularly in the Sydney area, that this doesn't turn out to be another DOA scam.

Im a little surprised none of the local sycophants came here to mount a defence for, the clearly quite ready, PM Trudeau who admitted today to attending party fund raisers where he is lobbied by donors. It just can't be true! He spent the last month saying that it didn't happen. Only Harper type evil would allow that sort of thing.

Liberals purchase new SAR aircraft.
poochy replied to Army Guy's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
What a terribly dishonest argument, if we need x billions a year to maintain our current level of health care and the government decided to give us 75 percent of that, and the argument was, well, it's still health care, it just takes longer to get it, and it might not be as good, but stop bitching, you got your health care, we would all be livid. Anything concerning the military is always an opportunity to cheap out for some Canadians, always. Its why the libs keep pandering to you. Are you nearly as concerned about our tax dollars when it comes to a Carbon tax that will cost the average person thousands a year and not prevent AGW? lol, not a chance. -
You really don't have anything of substance to say, you just repeat the same empty phrases over and over, deflecting from the obvious fact that you cant rebut the other arguments being made, I just wonder, why do you come here to do that? Do you think no one notices how little 'there' there is to your arguments? We can't fix this problem, and it's costing us a fortune to pretend to try, but it's good liberal politics, maybe that's what matters most to you.

Punish the Deed-Not the Breed?
poochy replied to drummindiver's topic in Provincial Politics in Canada
Its almost like people believe a dog, of any breed, can't be dangerous. The 170lb lab/shepherd/who knows that I got from a shelter as a puppy could have easily killed people if it was trained to do so. Therefore, because you cant trust owners to do the right thing that mustn't be allowed. Perhaps you can outline exactly what sort of dog people can own, what breeds, what size, all those things. Pits of course, Rottweiler's, German shepherds, Dobermans, well they are all out, lets see, how about anything over 20 lbs? Then again a 20 lbs dog could do awful damage to the face of a child crawling on the floor...you know what, no dogs, no one can have any dogs. When does the euthanasia process begin? Phew, now that we have that worked out maybe you can move on to the next thing you think we shouldn't be allowed to have or do simply because someone might misuse it. It truly is hard to believe those opinions exist in the real world, then again, some people still think communism could have worked.- 117 replies

Punish the Deed-Not the Breed?
poochy replied to drummindiver's topic in Provincial Politics in Canada
Clearly then the answer is to allow people like you to curtail everyone's freedoms, in all areas, where some people might do the wrong thing, honestly, you're attitude is so insane that it's hard to imagine anyone in this allegedly free country could have it.- 117 replies

Ontario is a democracy? Actually people are stupid, half of us are below average, and the average...well, I can only speak for myself but I sure hope ignorance truly is bliss, because they don't have much else going for them.

Liberals purchase new SAR aircraft.
poochy replied to Army Guy's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
Right because the absolute lies this government is telling about the need for another 5 years before choosing an actual F18 replacement, that's mature, honest discussion. -
Liberals purchase new SAR aircraft.
poochy replied to Army Guy's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
Crazy. But as the F35 debacle indicates, they are willing to spend as little as they can get away with on the military, but they will spend like drunken sailors on shore leave for all sorts of boutique causes, in typical liberal fashion, the military is something we just can't afford. -
Liberals purchase new SAR aircraft.
poochy replied to Army Guy's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
You know what, despite having real world reason to care, idk which aircraft is truly the best, but the idea that you think this government is mostly worried about the "purse", is ludicrous, insane, bat**** crazy. -
Pipeline Politics - Is Canada the only "sucker" Nation?
poochy replied to Keepitsimple's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
Two, the answer is two, Harper two, Trudeau 0. This one is for the locally protected types who ask infantile, trolling questions while ignoring the conditions at the time, counting the pipelines that were proposed and though delayed by liberals, finally approved, maybe it's four, but that sort of accounting surely only applies when liberals make the rules. Anyway the answer is two http://business.financialpost.com/fp-comment/kevin-libin-beware-of-fake-news-reporting-that-liberals-are-better-than-tories-on-pipelines Trudeau 0. Maybe 1, eventually. -
Environmental activists costing Canada billions

i was under the impression that Harper had not only removed all environmental laws but had already destroyed our natural world, seems too late to do anything about it now, so i dont understand what there is left to protest about. -

Proportional Representation Discussion
poochy replied to Michael Hardner's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
So is that general support for libs or on this particular issue where it's patently obvious what the intent was? Do you agree that if Harper had blatantly attempted to game our entire election system in his favor that the cries of dictator and fascist would be deafening? And for once, deservedly so? So how is it that you can support these self serving liars, who are actually doing the things they accused the last guys of doing, or at least being? I know, these are hard questions to avoid, maybe we should stick to the cash for access scandal that gets worse everyday, i know one thing is for sure, you would be far more capable of formulating a plausible answer than our current leader. Remember how when you attend a liberal fundraiser you arent supposed to be discussing business with the politicians? Well it is, EXACTLY the same liberal party it always was. They are so arrogant they now advertise these fund raisers as an opportunity to do just that. http://www.theglobeandmail.com/news/politics/trudeau-fundraiser-touted-as-a-networking-opportunity/article33233874/ -

Proportional Representation Discussion
poochy replied to Michael Hardner's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
Nah, only liberals are so arrogant as to think they could promise, an iron clad guarantee of a promise, to change our voting system, while not so secretly wanting indeed to change it to the one that clearly favors them, and then transparently try to torpedo the entire promise when they don't get their way, AND get away with it, and they will. That's the truth and it's barely being talked about, the conservatives would get no such quarter had they done anything remotely close to this. Permanent liberal rule, the only difference between that and what Putin has done is the method, it's an incredible attempt to subvert democracy. The cons got hammered for two years over 90k they paid back to us, and covered up, liberals blatantly try to ensure at least liberal lead governments, permanently, and it's ho hum, in other words it is as it always is for politics in this country, whether the liberals are in power or not, they've already won. -
Proportional Representation Discussion
poochy replied to Michael Hardner's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
Me too, but that survey is an embarrassment, anything that isn't what we already have is made to sound like we are going to be run by a horde of extremists. They were so desperate for a ranked ballot, and everyone knows why, now that they don't seem to be getting their way they are rigging the game in order to maintain the status quo. I dont think things need to be changed, but what the liberals are doing is completely dishonest and far more dictatorial in nature than anything Harper (hitler) ever tried to do. -
The CBC wants an extra $400 million so they can go Ad Free
poochy replied to Boges's topic in Arts and Culture
This week the national has buried every recent negative story about the liberals, or simply hasn't reported them at all, meanwhile the pipeline story, the one about those things that may never get built, that was first in line with 10 minutes of coverage. The night following Maryam Monsefs first ridiculous outburst over elxn reform, something that was trending all day, something that every major media outlet was talking about the National buried the story, now, only 3 deep i admit, but it put another pipeline story, and a story about airmiles points ahead of it, airmiles. The next day it was still a big story, the national didnt mention it at all. What should our national broadcaster think is more important, airmiles, or changing the way we choose our leaders? Yesterday again, this #mydemocracy was trending, the new and utterly stupid/misleading survey that the liberals have put online about elexn reform, again it was all over the news, it was trending all day, where did they mention it on the National? They didn't, not a single word about yet another embarrassment to this government, the 3rd or 4th in two weeks, none of them have been the lead on the public broadcasters biggest news program, some of them have been completely ignored. They are utter garbage and only the most partisan liberal wouldn't see it, of course if you're a minor candidate for the cpc leadership and you chant something stupid at a rally, that's worthy of top billing, the things you lie about to win elections and the utterly stupid things you do as a liberal in power, those impacts need to be mitigated, by the CBC. So for sure, lets give those poor unbiased and selfless creatures more money. -
Honestly, fictional character, there's nothing wrong with it, enjoy time with your family if you can, aside from that there is no value in it, but why worry about the color of a mall santa, everyone has just as much right to play along with the holiday as anyone else, regardless of color.

I know, but electing a mayor isn't the same as a federal govt, those things are rarely related. Honestly you're right about that, in fact a leftist populist might be the most likely in this country, i suppose i was thinking about the subject through more of an American lens. If that happens though what would it be in response to, a really mean conservative government that the 'nice' Canadian leftist thought was evil? Perhaps in spite of the vote split that's what we have right now, i doubt that trump is going to be able to break any more promises than this government has in its first year, sounds familiar, promise everything to everyone in the middle and the left, deliver on almost none of it.
