Can you explain your perception of reality The highest priority is for the govt to provide schools and educational opportunities on the reservations. Education is the most successful way out of poverty and addiction. Trust needs to be developed between the FN leaders and the individuals living on the reservations as well. Right now, there is lots of lack of trust all around.

This sounds more like city regulators putting the squeeze on taxi drivers whether or not they are immigrants.

You may find if you engage with immigrants that they work very hard to provide a better life for their children. This includes working 2 or 3 jobs. To them, it's all about sacrificing for their children. Perhaps you can look past their skill set and focus on their integrity.

And the Muslim communities across Canada have been working with their youth and engaging with law enforcement to report any suspicious behaviour. (To show their loyalty).

Yes I heard that about the juror. The petition has over 200,000 I believe. It really does cast law enforcement in a shady light. And it's not happening just in Wisconsin, but across the country (according to those involved in the case). I certainly think Brendan was railroaded. Not sure about Steven. I think that Islam is a problem for women and others fighting for their humsn rights. Certainly Canada and other nations should do everything in their power to help these individuals suffering under this religion and other human rights issues. Obviously, what we and other countries have been doing isn't helping much. Perhaps this needs a new thread.

What if a white Canadian were employed as a taxi driver or in security. Many of these immigrants are working 2 sometimes 3 jobs to provide for their families including children. These children when they graduate and become citizens will contribute to the Canadian economy to allow us boomers to health care and pensions. Policies have been implemented while not directly aimed at China and Hong Kong but have resulted in far less applications being accepted due to lack of language skills and over abundance of wealth. Isn't that what you want?
