I don't care if they were gay, muslim, transgender or a family with young children. If I can't have a conversation with my own party, we will certainly ask to be moved. Not sure what you are getting at? But please, spell it out.

I have insisted on being moved from one table to another if I am seated beside a large party in a restaurant. I see no difference here.

1865. Wow. Quite a precedent, I'd say. -

Do we really need to educate you on why blacks are imprisoned more than any other population. Honestly, I thought the reasoning for the incarceration of blacks was well understood. Perhaps I'm wrong and a conversation needs to take place. -

Well, he's the first sitting president to visit a federal prison (which surprises me) and he's black. I hope he draws attention to the issues of justice. -

And he very well knows the lockup rate for black Americans. This reform is long overdue. The question is, "Would this happen under the watch of a white President'? -

Obama is continuing his legacy. "President Barack Obama next week will become the first sitting President to visit a federal prison, the White House announced Friday." "Obama will visit El Reno Federal Correctional Institution in El Reno, Oklahoma, next Thursday, where he will meet with inmates and law enforcement officials, White House Press Secretary Josh Earnest said." What is his mandate? "At a news conference last week, Obama said reforming the criminal justice system was a top priority for his remaining time in office." "On Tuesday, Obama will speak at the 106th Annual NAACP Convention in Philadelphia, where Josh Earnest said the President will outline "injustice" in the system and highlight ideas for reform." Again, good for him. About time! -

This is a great video of Loreena McKennitt performing 'The Mummers Dance' live. She used to have her recording studio in Stratford, Ontario. Imagine that! Not sure if it's still there. This is a beautiful song she wrote on her travels to Siberia, she performed it live here 'Dante's Prayer': -
You very lucky to have seen Elvis. That is one dude I would have loved to have seen live. I remember watching this concert with my dad (on TV): I was hooked ever since. And talk about man spreading! Geez! But I ain't complaining! This is 50 minutes of the concert: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-QlliHSRh0A If you start watching at 43 minutes, you'll see a fabulous performance.

Ok, so I've been on the path of days gone by after viewing the concerts of Glastonbery of 2015 and it drew me to reflect on the concerts featuring artists who are no longer with us. I viewed this concert of Janis Joplin's rendition of Ball and Chain in Monterey and it sadly reminded me also of Amy Winehouse. It was a fabulous performance. If you watch it towards the end, you can see Mama Cass being blown away by the performance. Does anyone of any other recalls of those concerts back in the day.

I was just watching a performance of Amy Winehouse at Glastenbury in 2007. What a fabulous performance and how tragic her life was cut so short. She was so darn talented. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QMIM0uaqhaQ

College Football player hits a woman on video
WestCoastRunner replied to Boges's topic in Sex and Gender Issues
No, it most certainly isn't. Men need to act classy and not hit women who are of an inferior strength. -
