  1. Iran's Green Movement was one of the first times the world was able to receive unfiltered information coming out of a country being oppressed and brutalized by the government. This was all due to internet. We saw something similar during the Arab Spring . - The West should start with providing internet through satellite to bypass the Iranian government's control over internet. - There are thousands of family members of the Iranian government living in the U.S., Canada, Europe and Australia. They need to increase and pinpoint sanctions against the corrupt Iranian officials and their families and the hundreds of companies they own outside of Iran

  2. Preet Bharara says that this is as serious as it gets, and he’s been one of the loudest Trump critics. Ladies and gentlemen, this might be the first actual proven existence of the deep state. 3. And Muslim Imams and Mullahs promote the sentiment that leads to tens of thousands of violent and murderous terrorist attacks. They should be held accountable for their bigoted hate mongering and dehumanizing discourse.

  4. The American Revolution was not about being jealous of Quebec, please, that was so far down the list of grievance as to be essentially irrelevant. Biculturalism with a contribution from the natives, is not the multiculturalism of Pierre Elliot Trudeau. The Liberal propaganda you've been consuming of course conflates the two, so the Liberals can conflate Liberal identity with Canadian identity, to win more elections. But you've been brainwashed by adherents to this Liberal dogma, and you refuse to admit that they lied to you.

  5. I say no. Not because of the question of punishment or vengeance, although our vengeance shouldn't be so hot. The state is a reflection of our values, and if we give the state the power to kill, it means we accept killing. That's a step towards barbarism, imo.

  6. This doesn't make any sense. So it would have been OK for Trump to investigate the Bidens riding dirty in Ukraine if Joe wasn't a political figure / candidate ?

  7. It seems like you are saying suppressing free speech is free speech. If you cannot see the contradiction in that then excuse me, but I cannot help you.

  8. The Tories didn't lose because of climate change and LGBT. The people to whom such policies are of high importance never vote Conservative anyway. They lost because they had a weak leader who was seen to be weak, and a crappy policy platform book that offered nothing of substance.

  9. Because it's caused so much damage so far, right? We will never get rid of section 33 as long as we have activist judges who believe their own personal ideological beliefs and values are more important than law.

  10. Finally we are getting somewhere. I also find that comparing our "quality" of life to theirs will be equally meaningless. Too many factors to consider and even within one family you may have members who have better lives than other family members. Overall I think we are getting complacent believing we are doing great, while in reality most of us have boring lives revolving around work, paying bills and generally being slaves to the government, monopolists and other capitalist interests.
