What a bunch of tripe. We don't have any control over whether or not shithole countries choose to be shithole countries and have civil wars or start wars with other countries. Globalization and climate change aren't acceptable reasons for mass migration. Canada is in a position to take in refugees, we just aren't in a position to have free medicare and vast social spending anymore.

I have found that liberals and socialists are truly an exercise in futility. Their lack of common sense and logic appears to be quite obviously missing with just about all of them. They will not let real facts ever get in their way. What their politicians and the Canadian MSM tell them they will believe and adhere too no matter what. To do otherwise one has to be a right wing terrorist. Any of their plans that they come up with will always end up making a problem worse rather than better. They appear to be quite clueless people. I respect that soldiers do their duty and protect each other. I do not respect sociopath billionaires who use soldiers for their own private profit. We are all responsible to speak up to change that.

For shits and giggles, 1) what was your opinion of Barack Obama compared to Trump, and 2) can you give me some examples of how Obama's Presidency was more successful than Trump's? I can't help but think back to when a US diplomat was begging for more security in Benghazi and instead of sending more security they had their aircraft taken away. Then his embassy was attacked for hours or so before any help was sent. I can't help but think about how hatred and mistrust of the police was a major issue from day-to-day under Obama. I think of widespread rioting, looting, and arson that was going on in several cities across the country for most of 2014, all of 2015, and all of 2016. I think of how powerful islamic state became under Barack Obama - if they were considered a country they would have been one of the largest 75 or 100 countries on earth depending on which size estimate you use. I think about how racism sprung up after Obama's insinuation that the fact that Trayvon Martin was killed had everything to do with the colour of his skin. I think about how Obama stood in front of 5 dead cops in Dallas and made a martyr of their killer by linking their deaths to "centuries of slavery, racism and Jim Crowe Laws" (Democrat laws). I told my wife that was going to lead to more cop killing and 4 more were killed not long after. Baiting cops to come to a certain area where they were ambushed was a real concern at the time. It seems like right now most Americans are just working. The US is finally standing up to China on trade after decades of bending over. The rioting, looting and Arson has completely stopped. Despite the best efforts of CNN and people like Jussie Smollett - the racism revival is fading away. Islamic state is no longer a landholder. The US isn't starting up any more wars. US troop deaths are the lowest that I can remember in my lifetime. I can't think of any way that the US or the ME is worse of right now than they were under Obama so if you could enlighten me that would be great. I get that you don't personally like trump. The way he talks, his legacy of being a philanderer (like Clinton, who's widely loved and admired by Dems, and every other billionaire on earth), his secrecy regarding his personal business and taxes, his mistrust of mass immigration from terrorist hotbeds, his insistence on having a border, etc. They're all personally offensive to you. I'm more offended by our PM's actual crimes, the way that our country is being divided, the amount of debt we're creating while unemployment is rising across the prairies, the assault on our energy sector without any sort of plan for replacing those job losses, etc. I can name several ways in which our country is in an actual downward spiral but the US isn't in a state of crisis right now. So I'd love to see your list of ways that Trump's presidency is actually worse than Obama's. This should be easy.

Global migration can directly triggered by draught,forest fires, flood and earthquakes. Whether those environmental phenomena are caused by global warming or not I will avoid a debate on but they have always triggered mass movements of people and wildlife. So of course have wars and disease. That said blaming Canada for the decisions of dictators overseas is a tad simplistic,. Relationships that exploit unfairly require people not just in first world nations but third and fourth world nations sell out people for profit and self interest, Robert Mugabe was no victim. Neither are most of the corrupt dictators. Please do not tell me its impossible for a third or fourth world country's leader(s)n to engage in beneficial policies for their people.. Politicians and leaders have choices. Whether they choose to make benevolent or self serving ones depends on in the end the individual moral choices people with power over others make. So I would argue the propensity for humans to become corrupted and selfish is far more complicated than simplistic theories induced by guilt. Pity and guilt are wasted emotions. These emotions do not aid equalization or balancing of power-they do the exact opposite. because victimhood is too often used as an excuse to justify being corrupt, violent, or criminal or terrorist in behaviour.

One of the issues is that even though IRCC/IRB is accepting around 50% of the illegal border crossers, all refugee claimants whether eventually accepted or rejected get issued health cards so have access to our healthcare system, can get access to shelter and food bank services and other benefits etc. This goes for every refugee claimant, not just illegal border crossers. So it costs a lot of money. But i'm not as much worried about these monetary costs. I'm worried about what very impoverished refugees that have poor education, skills, and proficiency of english/french are doing to our communities. For instance, the media frames the gun violence problems in ie: Toronto and Ottawa as a problem with our gun laws. It's not, we've had similar gun laws for decades. It's a problem with the quality of some of the people we're letting live in this country. Access to guns isn't causing gun violence. Very low income people without a hope in hell of making much money without resorting to criminal activity is causing gun violence.

Actually, "too small" Canada directly participated in the strangulation and economic destruction of Libya and Syria. This after PM Martin cut deals for oil services contracts with dictator Muammar Mohammed Abu Minyar al-Gaddafi. What percentage of our exports do you think come from oil, what % come from subsidized industries like automobiles, and what % come from highly-subsidized industries like aviation? Aside from oil & related products, Alberta and Saskatchewan also ship out a big percentage of the coal, wheat, canola oil, pork, beef, etc that come from this country. Look around your home and in your fridge and your garage and see what percentage of the electronics you buy, the produce that you eat, and the cars that you and the other people around you drive come from other countries. How do you intend to convince other countries to send those things to Canada for our Canadian dollars when we get rid of such a large percentage of our exports? You don't have a plan cougar. You have bitterness. It's not a formula for success.

Ah yes, the 'dog whistle' has become one of those new lefty pejorative terms for something they believe is 'meant' to be racist even if it isn't racist. The funny thing about the term is that supposedly only dogs can hear dog whistles yet lefties ears perk up far more readily than those on the right at these alleged racist 'whistles'. Perhaps that's because to much of the Left, everything is about race and power, and thus their ears are constantly attuned to anything that is or can be defined or redefined in racial terms. Often enough you hear them squeal about something that is a 'racist dog whistle' and then conservative frown at them and say something like "How is that racist" and they'll reply that only racists can hear it, and yet THEY hear it where others don't.
