Nanu termites are all powerful, a thimble full of nanu termite turd can power a rocket from Mars to Earth. Takes a ton of board feet and lot of termites to fill a thimble though. They had to leave Mars because they ran out of trees. Kind of like the pine beetle except for the super turds and inter planetary travel.2 points

This could be the nadir where it comes to JT's idiocy. http://www.cbc.ca/beta/news/politics/budget-senate-bank-bill-1.4165557 Gee JT, maybe if you appointed Liberals Senators, you wouldn't have this problem. But you thought appointing "independent" Senators was the way to go. Now you act all cranky when independant Senators act independently. Dude is a moron1 point

Why are you even wasting time with these people? Bunch of brainwashed folks who are spoon fed by news outlets like Fox to regurgitate the same crap over and over. You tell them it's night time and it's dark outside and they still argue...1 point

It was the CIA who funded and organized the coup without which it would have been impossible as Mosaddegh was enjoying widespread support and it wasn't only the army who participated but a whole bunch of thugs were recruited with CIA money to attack pro-Mossaddegh supporters and solidify the coup. They did not need to land any US army personal or CIA thug on Iranian soil to do the task for them as there were enough traitors and thugs there on land to be paid and do the dirty job for them.1 point

I explained to you earlier how Mossaddegh's colleagues played a major role in 1979 revolution. And the hate they created among the people by this coup led to people rising up when opportunity knocked on their door in 1979 some 25 years later when the Shah had little support as many remembered the dark old days when CIA staged the coup. Yes Iran is gradually taking over American interests. Iraq for example was invaded by the US. The US spent hundreds of billions in Iraq and suffered many casualties and guess what? Iraq is now an Iranian colony!!!!! and same story in many other places.1 point

The Americans were tricked by the British into believing that the communists were about to take over in order to stage the coup as it was the British who were stealing Iranian oil for decades and Mosaddegh wanted to stop the robbery and preserve the oil income to improve the lives of Iranians. It was all about money (for British) and power for Americans. They did pay a heavy price for their actions as the 1953 coup led to Iranian revolution and a fierce anti-American government in 1979 and even today even they are paying the price as Iran is gradually taking over the American interests all over the Middle East and likely the world. The loser sides are the US and the poor defenseless Iranian people who paid the price in 1953 and are paying the price since then even today.1 point

Hate to rain on your parade, but it was North Viet-Nam doing the invading of countries: Laos, Cambodia and South Viet-Nam. The US was in South Viet-Nam w/ permission of the S-Vietnamese government.1 point

Orbiter is 100% free...written in machine language...doesn't alter the registry...runs right out of the folder. Sound is a separate package (see links). I've been involved in development and testing since about 2004. Doesn't take a supercomputer to run. It doesn't hold your hand, however....RTFM is in full effect. Another great freebie...Celestia. Models the visible Universe...tons of extras, as well. https://celestiaproject.net/ There are similar projects...but this is the oldest. Goodies here... http://www.celestiamotherlode.net/ Betsy and blackbird might well enjoy these as well...but they'll have to suspend belief a bit to enjoy them to the fullest....1 point

Actual science has given me so many moments of awe and wonder. I really don't see the need for fairy tales1 point

Blackbird and Betsy, one of you is arguing for a literal interpretation of creation, the other figurative. It would be nice if you guys could get your story straight, especially since the point of this thread was how perfect and consistent the message of the bible is1 point

I have the entire body of science, which along with secularism, is responsible for the relative peace, wealth, and high standard of living of modern western societies as evidence. You have a book of dubious origin and a religion to go along with which was responible for the conditions in the West in the middle ages. The Middle East has a similar book and religion which is responsible for the current conditions there. I have responded to your "evidence", whenever you presented any. I am still waiting for a direct response for many of the points I raised, for example the issue with your "flood" layers not being mixed, despite having raised it on multiple occasions.1 point

As far as I know ... the Commandments are fiction along with your deity I have contempt for any idea for which there is no rational expaination nor proof of existance. Ghosts, fairies, leprechauns, a creator deity who loves us unconditionally, but will torture us for eternity for using the rational mind he gave us. I don't kneel and pray. That's kind of the point. Why would your "TRUE God" require you to kneel and pray anyway? That seems like a ... personality flaw.1 point

Iran government had nothing to do with 9-11. This is ridiculous fiction and whoever is claiming he or she has no idea about the Mid East politics and the divides and how the Taliban and Ben Ladin View Shia Iran as enemy number 1 worse than Christian America. They may have to do a lot with other trouble spots but not 9-11. Saudi Arabia on the other hand.... Well lets says most of the 9-11 terrorists were Saudi citizens and none Iranian.1 point

Question still stands aziz.... What does shiite government in Iran got to do with 9/11 attack in the US as you have already stated? No matter what you want to paint as poor human rights or killing of dissidents it doesn't justify to blame Iran for 9/11 as you have already accused them. Spare me the lecture and revisionist history and answer the god damn question. You are not OftenWrong. You are 100% wrong!1 point

Abosolute nonsense.....Dr Mossadegh was democratically elected by the parliament. The coup was orchastrated against him by Brits pissed off by hiis mandate to nationalise and not being able to get their greedy hands on oil on their own terms! This is well documented and now released as declassified documents on public domain. The internal issues and conflicts is something the brits and americans expoited to fabricate the fear of spread of communism and reinstate Shah to protect their oil interest...Democracy was overthrown for the sake of money....1 point

Even more embarrassing when they were appointed because they supported your campaign promises and then get pissy because you're violating them. I thought these giant, omnibus bills were an affront to democracy? Apparently only when the Tories use them.1 point
