This is America!

America stinks........How can you say it is a wonderful place when as we speak some poor lost soul languishes in a gutter...while another is famous and rich for being able to snort 2000 dollars of cocaine in one sitting?

Because that is exactly why America is great....you will never understand this obvious dichotomy.

Like a little pink worm I flush the bragard out..what took you so long BC? Words like 'dichotomy" mean nothing to me....You were never respected - just feared...there is a difference. Imperialism is great..if you have good managers of the empire...all I see is poor management and folks like you who operate as life long apologists.

Come out and spar BC...and by the way - what is that hag Hillary Clinton doing waging another undeclared war...I pity poor old Bill for having to have tolerated the power crazed old witch for so long....

Hillary is doing just fine, taking a lead from Madeline Albright:

"What good is a $500 billion military if you can't use it?"

Albright was the one that said...civilian deaths in the thousands was "worth it" - easy for some rich lady with her face pumped full of botox to be so flighty with human life...what good is a leader that leads a nation into hell and suffering...? Kissinger was another piece of strange work when he said that ower gave him an errection...wonder if Hilary gets tingling at the sound of another Tomahawk intentinally missing the target...Omar...Its a dirty game and you know it.

....................you can not sleep or raise children in a tank...maybe less forclosers would be good...Homes....for families...proper benefits and rights for veterans? Or maybe USE it more efficently and be more cost effective...There is a rule internationally that you do not assasinate leaders of nations...I guess it's like the mafia...I don't wack Vinny cos' If I do he might wack me........... Let America be honest and put the military on a strick budget..either kill Khadfi instantly....and be rid of him....or make a few bucks and let some American installed judical system rip off his head like they did with Saddam. I am sure they know where their former henchman sleeps....Regan at least took a shot at the bulls eye...America needs international tyrants to justify their mode of operation...which is that beautiful military that is so much fun to use....and there is a profit to be made...Madeline Abright.....suffered from the great disconnect...as does Hillary...they declared themselves gods....I guess you have too once your uterus turns to granite.

The article that began this thread should have said...I have seen the blue sky and the wonderful sun shine..this is earth - and I love it....Good night BC....going to a sub channel now...You know that old saying..."I do not love him because he is good, I love him because he is my little child" - same goes for big brothers.....Your a bad ass...and a scoundrel...but you are our scoundrel...Not much to say about that...Just try to behave on occassion....You are looking pretty stupid as a nation these days. Don't embarass the family too much!

No...let Paul Martin and his Canada do it....he personally knows where the tents are from previous visits.

I adore the fact that you are so knowledgable...you never fail to impress me....Yah and what was that big bag of cocaine doing on one of Martins ships? Like my dad said - there are no good guys...yah - I know...just wish thing turned out the way they could have and should have been...I am so disappointed in the human race right now...and bitter ....and most of all...I just wish that California would follow in the foot steps of Japan.....eeeeeh.

I put my money where my mouth is and moved to North America.

Where do you live?

I came here out of England - parents came out of Russia...been here since I was a year old. I am sixty...I did not put my money where my mouth is...I put my whole body and soul in NOT north america...or america but inj Canada...If I would have know that is place was a colonialist state..with limited opportunity...I would have spent my life else where..BUT I had no choice....I was a baby...and my parents knew one thing...there was FOOD in Canada...and that is about all. So I guess I put my mouth where the food was.

You had a choice to move elsewhere once you were no longer a baby ....... which was the point being made.

If you think you'd be better off there what is holding you here??

Like some of the blacks moaning about how bad it is here. Why the hell not move to Africa??

(they don't know how lucky they are there was slavery)

The on-its-face foolishness of this remark aside....have you ever considered that some black people might consider slavery to have been a horror, not out of their own subsequent experience, but for the sake of the people who actually suffered under slavery?

You know, that peopple might occasionally feel sorrow and compassion for the suffering of other people? A strange inclination, I know....

At any rate, I haven't yet heard you proclaim how lucky you are that there was Communist totalitarianism. In fact, you think it was a bad thing...period. Yes, Comrade?

Unlike slavery, which so many ingrates aren't applauding as a great benefit.

But why hold yourself to the elevated standards you demand of others? That would be too hard.

One becomes attatched to family -to mother - to your father and siblings..time passes - and then you have to hang our and protect your own kids untill they can take care of themselves..by then it's almost over and the years have passed..IF I could go back in time...I would have taken the advice of a fellow musical composer...who said.."There is no real opportunity for someone like you in Canada..You should relocate to the States"...He was probably right..Canada still is small time..It is run like a British private estate..and those that control the place...really don't tolerate what they consider an embarrasement or an intellectual or spiritual threat...YES...at least in America they appreciate the rugged individual - with a dream...Here they adore mediorce...When we have Prime Ministers singing stupid old Beatle tunes badly...then that would be the bench mark.

Which is all your.

So was EXODUS. Even more so was starving, torture and murdering of millions in OUR lifetime. Not back in history.

Slavery is still alive in Africa. Not the worst problem by far. There's alos killing and eating of Pygmies for special magic powers.

You hear it right now. I was very lucky I made it here under my own power. If there was no Communism (thanks to our "allies") I wouldn't start from zero at the age of 30.

I just get on with business, without moaning about the past. Never mind what happened centuries ago.

What you're saying is that African-Americans should be thrilled about slavery...but that you should not be thankful about Communist tyranny.

You should be, Saipan. You should be very thankful it happened. Communist tyranny is a great thing, and you aren't appreciating it properly.

You're achieved a new level in moral relativism, Saipan. Congratulations.

You're also declaring that Exodus wasn't "back in history." :) (I don't even know where to start correcting you on your "history" of "Exodus." :))

One becomes attatched to family -to mother - to your father and siblings..time passes - and then you have to hang our and protect your own kids untill they can take care of themselves..by then it's almost over and the years have passed..

Hardly almost over. Another aspect of one's life is just beginning when the kids are grown and gone. I understand about the close ties to family and would never move from the States for that reason, but I still recognize it as a choice, and therefore sometimes have a difficult time understanding people who live in a great nation, a nation many people who have no choice would love the opportunity to live in, always speaking of it in such a negative way. Hence my response.

IF I could go back in time...I would have taken the advice of a fellow musical composer...who said.."There is no real opportunity for someone like you in Canada..You should relocate to the States"...He was probably right..Canada still is small time..It is run like a British private estate..and those that control the place...really don't tolerate what they consider an embarrasement or an intellectual or spiritual threat...YES...at least in America they appreciate the rugged individual - with a dream...Here they adore mediorce...When we have Prime Ministers singing stupid old Beatle tunes badly...then that would be the bench mark.

There are plenty of artists/musicians who haven't made it in the States, either, and plenty who have made it in Canada and crossed over to the U.S. I just don't see Canada as the harsh nation that you portray it to be and I'm guessing there would be many who agree with me.

I just feel as if we in Canada and North America are double fortunate because we live in very desirable countries; lands of opportunity, which includes the opportunity to leave if we are so unhappy with it. I'm not so sure it's ever easy to leave one's homeland; people always leave family, friends, love of the land behind, yet people who have been unhappy with their government, opportunities, etc. have made the move. It is a choice for us to move or remain. That was the only point I was making.

:) No.

I'm expecting a remark about the gun registry, Chretien, or that frightening Communist threat that continues to loom over us all.

And don't forget Indians, AdScam and immigration all linked through the actions of past liberals and socialists.

1) I learned that from other posters here.

2) It's my third language.

No. You are saying that. It's in your post.
