Forum Admin Greg Posted February 23, 2007 Forum Admin Report Posted February 23, 2007 Sorry for the late response, I've taken the emoticons feature down. I felt they were more distracting than helpful. If you disagree, feel free to voice your opinion below, thanks, Quote Have any issues, problems using the forum? Forum Admin Greg Posted March 26, 2007 Forum Admin Report Posted March 26, 2007 I like emoticons. They allow posters to add more nuance to their comments. The classic to take the sting out of a seeming insult is a prime example. You can still use the common emotions, just type out the emoticons manually. There are only a few that are needed to convey commonly felt emoticons, , the rest where just silly and distracting. For example, what is this emoticon supposed to mean? stignasty Posted March 26, 2007 Report Posted March 26, 2007 For example, what is this emoticon supposed to mean? Are you a ninja? gc1765 Posted March 27, 2007 Report Posted March 27, 2007 For example, what is this emoticon supposed to mean? They're out to get me Good for paranoid conspiracy theorists Quote Almost three thousand people died needlessly and tragically at the World Trade Center on September 11; ten thousand Africans die needlessly and tragically every single day-and have died every single day since September 11-of AIDS, TB, and malaria. We need to keep September 11 in perspective, especially because the ten thousand daily deaths are preventable. - Jeffrey Sachs (from his book "The End of Poverty")
