Leafless Posted November 14, 2006 Report Posted November 14, 2006 I can't believe this is happening, from Germany 'the good'? "Civil rights groups filed a suit with German prosecutors on Tuesday seeking war crimes charges against outgoing Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld for alleged abuse of detainees at Abu Ghraib and Guantanamo prisons." Maybe this will make 'Ripley's Believe it or Not'. http://today.reuters.com/news/articlenews....xml&src=rss Quote

myata Posted November 14, 2006 Report Posted November 14, 2006 Way to go!!! Here's the BBC story. I hope it'll make impact even if he won't go trial. The next on the agenda would be to make war a crime under jurisdiction of ICJ. That could make those benevolent enlightement crusaders spraying cluster bombs think twice before jumping on another foreign adventure. Quote If it's you or them, the truth is equidistant

They're truly cowardly crusading bastards, aren't they? It's not enough that they do their "hit-and-run" attacks...they hide behind children too! Way to go! For a while there reading your posts from other threads...I almost thought you're on their side! Quote

Maybe this will make 'Ripley's Believe it or Not'. http://today.reuters.com/news/articlenews....xml&src=rss Just to be clear, Germans appear to have nothing to do with this...other than the country's laws apparently assert jurisdiction and the civil rights groups must feel that Germany is the most likely place to allow the charges to proceed. Actually, what's sad about this is that a New York based group and a Paris based group figured that in order to get a fair civil rights hearing they had to file in Germany. This will be an interesting one to follow. FTA Quote
