Joe Biden heckled by Democratic Socialists at event - called "Genocide Joe" - Democrat Party is falling apart in the USA

The Democratic party in the US is being torn apart right now by internal strife.  I've heard Joe Biden called all kinds of things, most of which are true, like "idlot", "sleepy", "Dementia Joe" etc, but "Genocide Joe"?  That's a new one.

Democrat party and the Republican party have a problem with a very strong anti-incumbent sentiment. But the Democrat party is plagued with a LWNJ problem that is emboldened by recent wins. Those recent wins are made possible by moderates vacating lwnj havens like Chicago, NYC and Cali. The general election might go red because the extremes of the Democrat party will push moderates toward the Republicans.

Iran is going to hurt trump and the politicians that support him, but there is a significant difference.

Most of the republicans and their supporters approved of what trump was trying to do in concept. They like the idea of regime change and eliminating the nuclear program in Iran.

What they don't like is how absolutely insanely horribly he delivered on that. In other words their problem is with the execution not the very concept itself

If trump does the right things and plays the right games he can mitigate a fair bit of that damage and over time it will be forgotten. He just has to get through the midterms

I mean there's no guarantee he's going to recover, he would still have to do all the right things. But at least it's doable

The democrats the divides seem to be much more ideological and structural. Obama built the great intersectional coalition but as was inevitable as falling apart as each individual group is sick of working for the others and wants things their way and now you've got a tug of war.

Right now the democrats really should be walking away with things and yet they're barely Neck and neck with the republic ans. And they seem to becoming a part of the seas

Ya I've noticed that too. Both parties are having internal issues.  What gets me is...Trump had the US primed for a huge recovery. Had this Iran lark not happen, the US would already be sewen up.

It was a stupid move.

I wonder. It seems like a significant part of the party is exactly fed up with that kind of thing, and the other half wants it doubled it down.

You could very well be absolutely right but I'm not sure that whirlwind has come to and then to just yet it'll be interesting to see what direction they finally go in

It was. Even if there was a good reason behind it which isn't clear to me, but let's face it we don't have all of the info, the execution was absolutely horrid and I feel like a lot of that is trump's fault.

It feels like he jumped in without having a clear end game, without a clear understanding of how the Iranians would react and what would happen if they tried to hold out, and he wound up with two fists and a foot in the tar baby while hopping around looking like an incompetent dweeb and it's still not resolved. I don't know if he got bad advice or if he just decided to ignore good advice but either way this was not well thought out. 

It's just a really bad look, even to those who support the concept. 

But I wonder how long its legs are? If he can actually find a way to put it to bed which doesn't make him look like a complete dolt He may be able to move on if he can find something else for the public to pay attention to. It may not heard of that bad in the long run but he's got to put this to bed and get the straight open and get inflation back under control
