August1991 Posted April 12 Report Posted April 12 Like Trump, they know modern media. I reckon that Lewis wants to help ordinary people. ==== This guy Carney is an arrogant bastard. Like in 1914, he is a specialist expert - about to lead us all into a disaster. Quote

Your take on Reagan's meaning is twisted I think. His intention was to show government intervention as misguided, because "they" are hapless and at worst completely wrong about their potential and limitations. 1980 viewpoint. Reaganomics and the Chicago School of Economics were at the cusp of changing the world political economy. The 2026 version is "the government man is there to f*** over the private citizen, personally benefit from the interaction (financially) and distract from the Epstein scandal. So do Lewis and Poilievre want to help themselves or help the country, thereby helping themselves? Your answer will tell us what year you're in Quote Looks like someone has a new patronizing catch phrase ! Michael Hardner

August1991 Posted April 14 Author Report Posted April 14 (edited) If I were Poilevre and Lewis, I would agree to defend Canada. Heck, even the Bloc would agree. Edited April 14 by August1991 Quote

Herbie, At present, the federal Liberal Party does not have the majority of the country. Before, the federal Liberals could appeal cross ethnic lines. Under this guy Mark Carney, it cannot. Quote

One wants to defend Canada from excessive, expensive, over-regulating government - collective, nation-wide grievances. The other thinks we need "equity cards" to identify and divide up people to determine whose grievances take first place, and who gets a place at the table, with a focus on minorities that make up tiny fractions of the population. The NDP has proven that their preference is to work with the Liberal party, especially if means someone gets their full pension. I wouldn't trust them as far as I can throw them. I'm not sure the NDP understand what the real issues for the majority of Canadians are. And they're not reliable - they're going to swing to whichever side butters their toast more.
