First I ever heard of this was today:

  • Between 1981 and 1991, the Somali military in which Colonel Nur Omar Mohamed, Ilhan Omar’s father, served as a senior officer executed a brutal and systematic campaign of genocide targeting the Isaaq people of the modern day Republic of Somaliland.

This dark chapter in Africa’s history, which was known as the Isaaq Genocide, was a merciless military campaign that resulted in the killing of over 200,000 Isaaq civilians.

  • It was carried out through relentless aerial bombardments – planes repeatedly strafed fleeing refugees – summary executions, burning of entire villages, deportations, land‑mining of water sources and homes, Holodomor style government enforced man-made famines (the Dabadheer Drought) and the use of paramilitary units such as the Somali Armed Forces’ “Dabar Goynta Isaaqa” (The Isaaq Exterminators), composed exclusively of non-ethnically Isaaq soldiers, to enact mass killings under Somalia’s military direction.

It seems as though Ilhan isn't a 1st-generation hateful pig, her father was at least as bad as she is.

  • Ilhan Omar's father, Nur Omar Mohamed, left Somalia in 1991.

He and his family fled the country following the outbreak of the Somali Civil War and the collapse of the Siad Barre regime.

The Siad Barre Regime was the group that was committing the genocide there. When they were defeated, her father fled the country to escape the repercussions for his actions.

Is anyone even surprised to see that level of hate and malice within her immediate family? Doesn't the fact that her father was in a leadership role during a genocide seem to explain everything about her?

If the Cultist Narrative Network/Cultist Broadcasting Corporation gave an infinite number of monkeys an infinite number of typewriters, leftists would believe everything they typed.

@WestCanMan so completely FULL OF SHIT, pretending that offspring are somehow complicit in the crimes of their parents.

Got news for you, MANY children completely rebel against the evil of their parents.

For example, my father was a staunch Republican, but clearly I am an ANGEL by comparison and had to set him straight on his misunderstandings routinely. LMAO

Are you surprised when Hamas supporters have parents who commited genocide? Because I'm not.

You don't get to pretend like he meant nothing to her...

Nur Omar Mohamed was the father of Congressional Black Caucus Member Rep. Ilhan Omar, but he was also someone very dear to many of us who met him during a congressional delegation trip to Morocco. He welcomed us all and ensured that we truly felt at home. Reflecting on that trip, Chair of the Congressional Black Caucus, Rep. Karen Bass stated: “When I think of him, I smile remembering him sitting in the back of the classroom reciting the Quran with the students and how much joy he brought to all of us during that trip. Getting to know your dad and watching Ilhan and her father together was one of the best parts of the Morocco trip.”

The sins of the father?

Both of Melania Trumps (nee Knavs) parents were known communists in the former Yugoslavia (Slovenia).

Today, it has been suggested Melania's parents live off grift ......... regularly seen at the White House and Mar-a-Lago.

Anyone seen Melania's movie?

FWIW: Melania Trump's parents, Viktor and Amalija Knavs, were reported to have been sworn in as U.S. citizens after living in the United States as lawful permanent residents, and multiple reports link their naturalization to a a family-based  immigration pathway commonly described as 'chain  migration'.

“Chain migration must end—family-based immigration overloads our system.” / Donald Trump, campaign speech.

Interesting.

And did they come here and promote communism? Did they defraud the American people?

No?

Hmmm...

I'm sure you're completely IGNORANT as usual. In FACT, my father was able to express appreciation for learning some of the things I taught him, because he'd never thought of them before.

For example, like most Republicans he thought the Declaration of Independence says all men were created with equal ABILITIES. I had to tell him that it means all men have EQUAL RIGHTS under the LAW.

Of course I know that you believe otherwise, because you're obviously a shallow person as well. 🤮

FYI I never said that Ilhan was guilty of genocide herself, or that she should have to pay reparations to the people who her father helped to commit genocide against.

I just think it's not surprising that a person who's as internally ugly as Ilhan the Pig is, was raised by a man who participated in a genocide.  I find that it explains a lot.

Omar expanded on the evil of her father, so you have no place to go with this.

Ironically, the majority of Somali refugees back in Ilhan's day were Isaaq people.

That means that the Somalis who voted for her were unwittingly voting for the daughter a man who helped commit genocide against their own families.

  • Under U.S. law, individuals who have ordered, incited, assisted, or otherwise participated in the persecution of any person on account of race, religion, nationality, membership in a particular social group, or political opinion are ineligible for refugee status or asylum.

That means that Ilhan's father was not legally allowed to claim refugee status in the US.

It doesn't mean that Ilhan was prohibited from applying herself, because she was too young to have aided in the genocide at that time, though she probably would have loved to. It does however mean that she entered the US via a fraudulent application.

I don't personally feel like Ilhan's status as a citizen should change because of this, but it's worth discussing whether or not her father's body should be exhumed and thrown into a sewage lagoon in Somalia.
