Canada cuts counter tariffs against US and China | U.S. President Donald Trump just signed off on 25% tariffs on medium and heavy truck imports starting next month.

Canada quietly dropped more levies as donald trump increases levies against us.

Only the lowest kind of slug could possibly claim that carney was not Donald Trump's man at this point. For about the 10th time we dropped tariffs and in response trump raises them hurting our Industries to the benefit of America.

How long till people see this scumbag for what he is and realize that he was bought and paid for by trump before the election even started

Over 90% of Carney's investments are in the US.  Some in Europe, some in China and a very small percentage in Canada.

He moved Brookfield to the US shortly before the election.  (Ironic that the Liberals are now talking about suing/boycotting all companies that move to the US.)

Carney profits if the US is successful, not Canada.  The "blind trust" is a joke.  He knows where his investments are.  It's Canadians that don't.

Is he a weak leader who cannot handle Trump?  Or is he in cahoots with Trump?  The more companies that leave Canada, the more Canada fails, the more Carney profits.

Maybe this is why Trump wanted Carney elected.

Elbows up, everybody!

Carney is not here to help Canadians. This is one of MANY examples of him using his position as PM to make decisions that increase his Brookfield portfolio investments.

Remember - the man has over 100 conflicts of interest.

He was a multi-millionaire when he was installed as PM.  He will leave office as a billionaire.

yep. He can retire in 5 years, claim he's leaving politics because his only reason for coming was to save Canada and he's done so and he hopes they build a nice memorial for him and statues, and then he will retire at 65 with 100 or so ngos and investment corporations all putting them on their board of directors for half a million dollars a year for doing absolutely nothing to say thanks for the money he gave them and to use his contact lists.

And his investments will have gone up 10 times.

Maybe Trump figures Liberals are more corruptible than Conservatives.

Of course Conservatives are more hapless and helpless when it comes to corruption so...

We'd be just as screwed.

I think he knew carney was specifically.  I think his people had spoken to him early on.

not much you can do if the liberal voters like yourself refuse to do the right thing and take them out when they're corrupt

That's exactly what we try to do though - the NDP is where real liberal votes in Canada go. Meanwhile Conservative losers like you want everyone to keep voting for a party that's proved worthless at preventing corruption.

I mean, who's the first one around here to whine there's nothing anyone can do about corruption? You are! 🤣

Horseshit.  You make excuses for them and keep voting for them.

No.  that would be YOU.  You're the one who always rejects any solutions that involve NOT voting for or supporting Liberals.

Good gawd, man!  You fuquing support everything the Libs have done!  Every damn time.

For the last time, Canada is America's unincorporated territory. You do what we want, and we'll let you pretend to have sovereignty. And before you say that is unfair, yeah well should of thought of that when you refused the 51st offer.

You have a real penchant for insisting things you can't prove are real. Especially when they're the linchpin holding your whole imaginary shtick together.

Then why did I vote for the NDP?

You figure I just say I do plus suggest things like cameras and volunteer public process Guardians as an exercise in gas-lighting you? The thought I might have a genuine concern about transparency is just to much for you to accept?

I figure Liberal corruption personally cost me a livelihood not to mention thousands of dollars and you whine about getting a sore arm.

LMAO!

I was the first one in here to point out Carney's first official campaign lie. You don't remember that do you?

That just makes you a Liberal wanna-be, dude!  Holy shit!! 🤣

Maybe historically voting NDP would have gotten you some brownie points, my dude, but at this point in time, the only person stupider than a Liberal voter is an NDP voter.  You might as well just vote Liberal.

Are the Conservatives going to do any better if they get in?  I don't know but they're the only chance we have.

You think you got dental care for people?

No.  A freind of mine - the small business he works for, the employees tried to talk to their boss about investing in a benefits plan.  The boss said No because "We got dental now from the gov't."

Well guess what, most of us are not old enough for that and if we are, the majority of claims are rejected and the majority of what people need done is not covered.

And because you NDP'ers voted for inflation, nobody can afford to look after their own teeth.  Or their kid's teeth.

Way to go, you fuquing selfish Boomer piece of shite.

Another friend of mine is a senior AND an NDP supporter and yes, he has taken advantage of some of the dental stuff. But you know what?  Most of the stuff he needed done wasn't covered.  So he didn't get it done.  The other stuff, he still had to shell out hundreds of dollars and now he's barely making it and has to budget on food.

But he's like you - grateful for the scraps that fall from the NDP taxpayer trough of $$ they rake in for themselves.

How pathetic.

NDP expects people to be grateful for any scraps, but supports Liberal waste and tax grabs.

You disgust me.  My friend is a good person.  He deserves better.  I'm angry for him because he's too brainwashed to see the NDP is NOT working for him.  They're exactly the Liberals - they are working to line their own pockets and arrogantly hand out scraps to the "little people."

NDP had a chance to actually do something for Canadians by doing what they are supposed to do - OPPOSE THE FUQUING LIBERAL WASTE AND SPENDING.

Instead, they went along with it.  For scraps.

You bunch of fuquing idi0ts.

I don't see why. Don't forget Conservatives would have very likely killed an extra couple hundred thousand people during COVID if they'd been in power.

The primary reason Conservatives are the very last party I'd vote for is because a solid third of their base are batshit crazy.

But IMO that's still no excuse for not voting for the NDP.

They literally just spent the last 4 years propping up the libs and then held the line to give the libs a chance to regroup and come back.

If you mean voting for the ndp is exactly the same as voting for the libs then sure.

Conservatives supported mandates until it was obvious to everyone that they had been politicized and were serving no purpose, as the jabs did not prevent covid or hospitalizations.

Most of the rest of the world had dropped mandates for over a year before Canada did.  We were the extreme outlier.  Because the Liberals were using fear to keep themselves in power.

And you fell for it.  And you'd fall for it all over again.  Because you're stoopid.

One of the big beefs some Conservative supporters have with the party is that they DIDN'T speak out against the oppressive, economy-killing mandates until after the Convoy.
