Sometimes he's out and out lied about it Poilievre didn't shy away from saying it. “The prime minister casually said, in the Oval Office today, he bragged, that a half trillion Canadian investment dollars have left here for the United States in the last five years and then promised that a trillion more will leave in the next five years,” said Poilievre. https://www.junonews.com/p/poilievre-carneys-trillion-dollar 20 minutes ago, CdnFox said: No, I understand why you think it's a good thing but for the rest of us it's actually a problem I don't think there was any promise or lie at all actually, I was just baiting you. But I agree it would be a problem if as you said it was a secret. This time however the promise was according to PPs fevered revelation at least, quite public and there for all to see. 1 Quote I said now watch what you say they'll be calling you a radical, a liberal, oh fanatical criminal

Moonbox Posted October 17, 2025 Report Posted October 17, 2025 Never say never. Poilievre is a clown and a walking three-word slogan, but don’t underestimate the Liberals’ potential for also scoring on their own net. And those same biased pundits said exactly the same thing before the election. But he came within about 1% of Carney. And that is the only opinion or pull that matters. And the polling suggests the results right now would be the same or possibly slightly higher for the conservatives So you can say what you like, but whether they like him or not people are prepared to have him as the prime minister almost as many as are prepared to have Carney. And Carney is slipping in the polls while Poilievre is growing. Latest poll, October 19 2025. And THATS with the carney honeymoon largely still in force. That starts to nose dive pretty quick as he continues to fail to deliver. And when the ndp elects a leader and bounces back to their usual 12 -15 percent that bite will come out of the liberals for the most part. I'm not sure carney is going to make it through 2026.
