Google this heading and get the whole story.  He will refuse to make serious changes to the criminal and bail laws.  There will be small modifications that will do nothing.

I did until I saw it was carved out by the Conservative Party of Canada.

Crime is getting worse in Canada under the Liberals. Why don't you care?

I care a lot about it.  No, crime is not getting worse in Canada.  The facts are that most types of crime have been declining.  I'll wait to hear more from Carney on this rather than listening to angry Poilievre.

The five violations that contributed the most to the decline in the overall CSI in 2024 were non-violent in nature, accounting for three-quarters (75%) of the overall decrease. In order of impact on the CSI, police-reported rates of breaking and entering (-11% of the rate per 100,000 population), child pornography (-15%), motor vehicle theft (-17%), theft of $5,000 or under (-9%) and mischief (-6%) were all down from 2023.

The Violent CSI decreased 1% in 2024, having a comparatively smaller impact on the overall CSI. Prior to this, the Violent CSI had risen for three consecutive years, increasing 15% over that period.

Compared with 2023, the Violent CSI recorded lower rates for many violations in 2024, such as level 1 sexual assault (-3%), extortion (-10%), robbery (-2%), attempted murder (-12%) and level 3 or aggravated assault (-8%). Combined, these violations accounted for 80% of the decrease in the Violent CSI.

It sounds like is MO on pretty much everything.  Minor alterations that don't effectively deal with the issue.

If you cared, you would support the only opposition party that is serious about doing something.  Businesses in many places just can't keep going because of the daily crime, often by catch and release offenders.  People are sick of their loved ones being murdered by offenders who were released under the liberal bail laws giving criminals easy bail no matter how dangerous they are.

No, I'm not supportive of innocent people being murdered... kind a stupid question don't you think?

Find a leader for the opposition party and I'll consider it if Carney fails, which I don't expect him to.

Poilievre has made it very clear he will take action to change the easy bail laws to keep dangerous offenders behind bars.  You couldn't ask for a better leader than that.

I don't think you really understand or care.  What is the problem?

That doesn't sound like you care. Libs had ten years and mayors across Canada and police bdgged for help. But received no help.

Carney will not make real change.  Libs just won't because it goes against their ideology.  That has been proven over the years.

Only conservatives care about the country?  Again, find a leader and you may have more of a say in which direction the country takes.

Good to see that you're hopeful for a better country 👍

Poilievre says lots of things like most politicians do.  If that's your 'better leader' then be ready to complain for another 10 years...

Because I don't like Poilievre you don't think I understand so I'm supposed to justify why I voted Liberal?   lol...be serious!

Everyone should be able to justify why they voted for a certain party, otherwise what is the point of a political forum?

Why are u on here?

Because I think Carney is the right guy for these times. I also think very little of Poilievre's acumen, and certainly don't like his schtick.  Anything else you'd like to know?

I'm here because it's an open forum.  Is that a problem for you?

So you don't really care about policy or results.  You talk about very subjective qualities like "acumen" or " schtick" which means nothing.  Sounds like you don't think deeper than a rock star fan.  This is why Canada is in such a mess. Sad.

First of all I owe you absolutely zero explanation as to who I voted for and why I did, but I did.  If you don't like that take it and shove it somewhere that will come out later.  Yes, it is sad there are sorry people like you still disappointed in yet another election loss. That's not my problem, it's yours.

Yes, we all pay for voter's ignorance.  You obviously can't justify why you favour liberals.  Everyone pays for the voter's choices.

The Liberal party and the NDP are anti-God and anti-Bible and should not be supported.

They support euthanasia, and it appears, even for people with mental issues, abortion on demand and the LGBTQ agenda and grooming kids in school to be trans if they wish as well as pre-marital sex.  Libs also do not believe in punishment for crime and believe in releasing dangerous criminals as much as possible.  They give criminals rights at the expense of public safety.

I told you why I voted Liberal and again, if you don't like that you can shove it somewhere.  Always good to hear from another crying conservative though.

Libs for the most part do not believe the Bible and therefore are completely open to satanic deception.  They are blinded by the prince of the power of the air.  That is why they don't see the evil of what they are doing.

And actually the people supporting them don't know or believe the Holy Bible.  Many are members and followers of Roman Cathocism.  Even Carney is.  That is a another story.

To think... all that baggage that liberals carry and still allowed to vote and be members of society. I love this country!
