President Trump delivered a short speech on Monday in which he blamed the internet, video games, mental illness, and the fact that the state does not execute enough people for the two mass shootings that killed more than two dozen people this weekend.

The one thing Trump refused to blame was the actual weapons used to murder these individuals.

Almost everything Trump says is for political purposes.  It is to appease his MAGA base.  That is a well known fact.  So why would we expect him to say anything different about guns?

To claim the number of guns and easy availability of guns is not the cause of all the shootings in the U.S. is ludicrous.  Any reasonable person would have to say it is definitely the reason.

Guns don't kill people; people kill people - sometimes with guns, sometimes with knives, or machetes, or with their bare hands. There are murder weapons EVERYWHERE when you think about it.

That’s not what the statistic says. More people are killed by hammers than rifles that was used in the shooting. Those big scary black guns, the ones you gun grabbers like to sensationalize, yeah they’re not the problem. This is before you even consider that 2/3 of all gun deaths are suicide.

58 shootings in Chicago with 8 gun related deaths this labor day weekend.  Sad part is that they're not even in the top 20 US cities with the most violent crime.  America has a real problem with guns....
