it is very very different. Northern bc has different industries and the geography dictates things a lot more than in northern alberta.  There are similarities but there's a LOT of differences.

I can start with the social progress we've made - social acceptance, increased diversity and improved health care access.

😂

That's purely subjective, and nothing but drivel. Put the pom-poms down and talk like an adult.

How about our technologial innovation (AI & Space exploration),

And no other gov't would have thought of that?

or environmental protection in the way of climate action, conservation efforts and sustainable practices.

So we shut down 5 coal-fired plants while China builds 1,000, we cancelled $130Billion worth of energy projects, subjected Canadians to a carbon tax until the month before the 2025 election, and what else did we do that was so important over the past ten years?

I'm sure those mean very little to you in the politically bias and contrarian world you appear to live in.  Sourpuss....seriously lol

That's not ten years worth of progress, missing link. It's a kindergarten feel-good story.

In the meantime our economy regressed to the point where we can't sustain social programs, correct?

Hopefully you leave your effed up political views at home when you do that.

Sorry but your whining and credulity don't constitute "political views", you're just a cultist.

Sure, the avg leftist can glean less information from looking at maps than an ant can from looking at clouds in the night sky, but the rest of us can see that there's a massive difference between northern BC and rural Alberta just by looking at maps.

If you're talking about political tendencies, you can even predict that with population density maps, because anywhere that you have downtown-level population density, there is always an accumulation of special interest groups, cultist dolts and feed me's that lean blindly left.

Tsk Tsk Tsk... I can truly say I have spent a lot more time in Northern BC (Prince George and north) and Alberta during my tenures at 442 and 440 Squadrons than you have.

I responded to some clown that said Northern BC is the same as Northern Alberta.

I thought you claimed to be a pilot and you can't understand what a map shows?

If we needed more proof that you're actually a team living in your parents' basement you just provided it

To people experienced with maps a quick glance would show that there is a massive difference between northern British Columbia and Alberta. And it would be clear to an experienced adult that the two would have very different economies, geographical issues, access to the outside world, etc.

Old saying but as true today as then.... can't fix stupid.

It's hilarious calling me a cultist.....  seriously lol.  I'd have to think with your far right views many/most would direct that to you.  Coal-fired plants should be shut down. Absolute nonsense to think otherwise.

Maybe look for the facts behind so-called liberal cancelled projects....  https://www.desmog.com/2025/04/16/no-canadas-so-called-no-pipelines-bill-didnt-block-these-16-energy-projects/

"Go die"..... you're telling me to calm like an adult lol.  That's comment a 13 year old would use in the schoolyard.  Weak.... real weak

I know without even meeting you that you're the type of person who banned family members from your home, even though you had the 2 jabs and 4 boosters and called yourself "protected".

You're a cultist with a mask and a pseudovax instead of an x in your forehead.

Liberal policy, and their open war on Canada's energy sector, were 100% to blame for the cancellation of $130billion in energy projects. That's a fact.

So it's only sane if it fits your narrative....  Typical of those on the far right.

The climate "argument" is comical when talking facts and trying to rationalize with those who disregard facts because they don't align with their political views.  Oblivious.... is a word that comes to mind.

No idea, but with a comment like.....Most sane people stopped reading at "climate action" - fair assumption don't you think (although maybe "far" doesn't fit...), knowing being oblivious to climate fact is part of the right ideology script.

No,  sane people would have finished his post and then formed an opinion. People that stop at some point just because they read something they don't like are simply excusing the fact that they bury their heads in the sand rather than see arguments that they may not feel comfortable with. I would always encourage you to finish a post that you start, it's not like any of them are terribly long for the most part

Also it is the height of hatred in bigotry to assume that every right-wing person everywhere thinks the same thing. Or that there is some sort of right-wing philosophy that we all must adhere to in order to get our right wing cards or something

The vast majority of people on the right in Canada believe strongly that climate change exists. There is a little bit of question as to how much of it is caused by humans, there are massive questions about whether or not any of the proposed solutions would make any kind of difference at all in the slightest and there is serious questions about whether or not the current climate change situation constitutes a crisis. But pretty much everybody believes there's climate change.

Never be afraid to expose yourself to contrary positions. Sticking your head in the sand does not make you smarter, the opposite winds up being true if you do it too much

Well given the diatribe, very typical of the far left.

We on the far far far away in a manger right tend to perform analysis on so called "facts" as portrayed by the MSM.

After all as Mr. Fox often points out we have payed our carbon tax so climate change has ceased to be an issue.
