This helicopter crash could have been a defective part, some kind of weird bird strike, or any number of things. But this ìdiot Schumer is in hot water with his base so he's trying to appear tough. All he's doing is calling on operators to be punished for generalizations that may or may not apply to them. Let the examination of the event find something first.

Something was already found. The inspection in March was OBVIOUSLY INADEQUATE when it didn't find the defect which caused the main rotor and gear box to RUD (rapid unscheduled disassembly).

Did you believe you saw birds in the sky in the video? LMAO

No, it was Lucy in the sky with diamonds.

Let the investigation come to the final conclusion before we start handing out punishments. Also, damage could have happened after the inspection. Just because the inspection was relatively recent, doesn't mean it is the perfect solution. There is a reason aircraft have a maintenance log for inoperative equipment between inspections.

A mechanic could look at an airplane right now and certify that everything is working perfectly. Then, on the next departure, a hydraulic line breaks or an engine fails. It happens.

Inspection can't catch everything and I have no idea what phase of inspection was done on the helicopter. Some phases check a list of items. Some phases check many items. And some phases check all items. Some items have time limits because of known engineering or materials problems. Some parts require deep inspections on cycles, some on hours. Just saying there was an inspection is absolutely meaningless. Thats like saying there was air and gas. So what? Was that part inspected? Was it a visual inspection or did they test for microcracks? Was there a manufacturing defect that was undetected?

There are ways to many questions that can't be answered right now. Schumer is just an asṣ looking for a spotlight to save his rep.

It doesn't JUST HAPPEN if the inspections are properly scheduled and sufficient to FIND defects BEFORE they become catastrophes. OBVIOULSLY they WERE NOT.

Just as OBVIOUS is the inspection regimen was NOT SUFFICIENT for a 20+ yo chopper.

Thanks for admitting there were no birds to strike shown in the video.

Inspection schedules come from the FAA and the Manufacturer. The operator doesn't schedule the inspections, they comply with them.

Then the FAA and the manufacturer screwed up. The operator doesn't invent inspections.

Good gawd, that's a stùpid argument. The bird comment was meant to symbolize random events that are plausible but unpredictable. I wasn't literally saying that birds took down the airplane.

So you're on LSD. That explains a lot of your posts.

John Lennon said that Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds was not about LSD, but rather a picture drawn by his son Julian.

When John asked him what this picture was called, Julian replied, "Lucy in the sky with diamonds."

Sure. And it's just a coincidence that was the Beatles first endeavor in psychedelic music.

Thanks for demonstrating you're too young to comprehend.

It was not their first endeavor in psychedelic music. Revolver came out before Sgt. Pepper. John and George had taken LSD as early as 1965.

The appearance of that song in mad Men was sublime.

I never watched that show. I might have seen some of the early episodes. I'm not a huge fan of that song, but it really does sound modern for it's time.

Ahhh the Libbies. Looking for more blood I see.

It's turned into a psychological case study in the most basic human instincts unchained. The Libbies have decided to wave customary morality completely.

And one must ask...after everything we've seen them do and say...is any rational adult really surprised?

Its so lonely in m'saddle since m'horse died.
