herbie Posted March 8 Report Posted March 8 Things are happening in BC Conservative Party breaking apart: After kicking MLA Dallas Brodie out of caucus for simply refusing an order from Rustad to remove a post about residential schools, going on to challenge him on the subject and then making another post mocking residential school survivors, two more MLAs have left the Cons in support and are thinking of starting their own Party. Quote Politicians like David Eby and John Rustad are willing to sell off British Columbia’s wealth and power, transferring it from the public to an elite racial minority This should give rednecks an opportunity to rally behind a real party of the right and start accusing Rustad of being a leftist. Sucking up to his MLAs with native ties and the 30-40% of his own riding that is native. David Eby implementing tolls on US trucks going to Alaska: a retaliatory act to Trump's tariff bullshit. After Trump blatantly lying that there is a 250% tariff o US lumber, it is 20% and only as the USA has had a duty (which is the same f*cking thing) on BC lumber, and as those vehicles are using our roads commercially without contributing to them. Some people are worried that he is inviting the Trump/Panama rhetoric where Trumpy can claim 'the USA built that road during the war so they can take it back, national security blah blah' The Bellowing Bozo has also gone after the Columbia River Treaty threatening to rip up the water agreement, and even so far as claiming historical Canada/US border definitions are invalid. Red state liquor has been removed from shelves and will not be replaced because of pauses, only if US tariffs are removed permanently. We'll have to suffer without watered down brew and sickly sweet excuses for whisky for a while. Quote
CdnFox Posted March 9 Report Posted March 9 I believe you were the one that said that the conservatives stood no chance in the last election and they lost by one seat Maybe you could show the conservative party how to Triple its value with a credit card? Quote
herbie Posted March 9 Author Report Posted March 9 I'm sorry you're brain is so stuck you haven't figured that out in all these years of trying. Just like calling the election correctly isn't correct as it came close. That's to be expected from someone who believes that a tax on Canadians that didn't affect China means the tax was a failure. Goes along with your hero who thinks the GST is a subsidy because Americans don't have to pay it. BTW I also bought cables on the Visa card for 89c and sold them for $9.99, that's >11 times the profit. Quote

You forgot to mention what you were talking about. You have to remember we can't actually hear the voices in your head like you do Quote That's to be expected from someone who believes that a tax on Canadians that didn't affect China means the tax was a failure. I see. So basically what you're saying is you've been drinking this weekend Most Canadians have realized that A tax that was supposed to fix climate change that had zero impact on climate change was a failure. I don't know why you would think that it would affect china Quote Goes along with your hero who thinks the GST is a subsidy because Americans don't have to pay it. How would that make it a subsidy? A subsidy is where the government gives somebody something not when they tax somebody for something For gods sake, try again when you're sober Quote BTW I also bought cables on the Visa card for 89c and sold them for $9.99, that's >11 times the profit. ROFLMAO!!!! Cables huh? Sold your wife some cat 6 and turned a profit? Or was it usb? I can't tell what's funnier, that you ripped your friends and family for money or that you're so broke you had to put 89 cents on your credit card LOLOL!!!!! Go to bed, you're drunk! Quote

Do I buy them in Canada? No. On 3/8/2025 at 1:34 PM, herbie said: sickly sweet excuses for whisky Again, many bourbons are top notch. Great in cocktails. Interesting political machinations in BC. Stroll in the typical bar and have what's on tap it's a different story. Not that people a swarming even to Point Roberts anymore - they're suffering already (again!) over this tariff reaction. Quote

TreeBeard Posted March 11 Report Posted March 11 (edited) 21 hours ago, herbie said: Normal ones. Those people are highly overrated. Aren’t they the ones drinking the “watered down swill” as you called it? make up your mind. Edited March 11 by TreeBeard Quote
herbie Posted March 11 Author Report Posted March 11 A bar - a normal bar with semi parking and a line of Harleys out front. Or nobody out front, just a plain door and a Schlits sign in the window. Not flashing lights and loud techno pop full of people chugging $10 jelly shots. Good God the ones like Archie Bunkers or the RoadHouse don't feature Henry Weinhart's on tap. Blitzd or Shlotz or NickelLoad or Haaaammmms. We used to joke how the taps in the Breakers in Pt Roberts was connected to the urinals over the border in Tsawassen. I also haven't been to a bar in the US since Bush Jr decided we weren't welcome friends, just more f*cking foreigners, so my opinion is slightly dated. Plus our local LCB never carried any American beers, not a seller, Some of the ladies will miss their Southern Comfort though. Quote
