Honestly, the US is probably already an oligarchy, where rich elites rule. The wealthy gets the laws they want.

Research has shown that “the average citizen exerts little or no influence on federal government policy.”

Ever heard of the Koch brothers

And if you don't understand that Trump seeks to make himself a king, you haven't been paying attention.

Nearly 40 million Americans got health care under the ACA.

Whose interests do you think are foremost in his mind?

That's not research, it's an opinion piece. And frankly an absolute crap ton of very rich people just supported the hell out of harris and discovered that indeed the public does have a very powerful impact on politics.

You have this weird habit of posting supposed evidence and it turns out to be utterly nonsense. So I could get a thought in your head and do a 10-second Google search and grab the first headline you see without even looking to see if it's relevant.

In any case the review of the government departments is entirely worthwhile and it's a good idea. There's overlap, there's inefficiencies, was outdated methods that just keep going because nobody thinks to change them, there's a lot of room for improvement. And the government does need to focus on its core responsibilities

I heard that DOGE is giving the US nuclear arsenal to the Sons of Anarchy.

I could easily see Trump becoming annoyed with Elon.

There's little doubt. By his very nature elon is extremely annoying. But it won't be the first annoying person that trump has had to deal with to get what he wants. We will see how he stick handles him

It's seems like Elon wants to be very buddy buddy with him, and because he has trouble reading social cues it can end up being kind of awkward. Trump is almost 80, and Elon is kinda youthful and a tech nerd on the spectrum. He probably has no idea what Elon is saying half the time.

I'd say that was both accurate and diplomatic :)

Which was even more annoying given the fact that elon never shuts up. The man puts out more energy than the theoretical Kugelblitz drive and has little patience for ideas he doesn't agree with after hearing them.

We'll see how it goes.

Maybe that's why he paired him up with Vivek. He is hooking them up. Like a play date.

It would not surprise me if there was a certain amount of truth to that. :)

It'll be interesting to see what they come up with.
